Luke Chapter 23, Advent Day 23

"After he had taken the body down, he wrapped it in a linen cloth and laid him in a rock-hewn tomb in which no one had yet been buried." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:53‬

"And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:12‬

Advent Day 23 - The Greatest story of all time.  I contemplate the life and death of our Lord Jesus Christ and His journey.  In a few days the entire world will celebrate His Birthday, Christmas.  Some deny it ever happened yet it will be celebrated.  God through the will of a woman who said yes, entered the world as a man, with nothing but love.  He leaves pretty much the same way with the will of a man to accept his fate and do the will of the Father and love for his Messiah.  We all enter this world the same and we will all leave being clothed by someone else.  What you do in between is what matters most.  With Christ it has purpose, this is the greatest gift that we can receive and we can give away.  Receive the gift of Christ, contemplate His Words, be a student of His Holy Spirit.  The world who denies Him has yet to meet Him!

What is God saying to me:  Walk slowly, be patient as I Am.

Dear Father, I am not sure why we waited today to sit together but I love our time together, contemplating Your Word Lord brings life into my spirit.  There is so much going on around yet the time together is a blessing.  Thank You Lord for the gift of life, for the time spent in fellowship, for the quiet moments and not so quiet moments seeing You at work.  Father, I pray for those that yet to receive child like faith, to see the beauty of Your life and how in a short period of time You have changed the world.  May we each recognize it isn't the beginning or the end that matters but everything in the middle.  Bless the remainder of this day and may we carry Your gift to those that we are called too.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Star of the Sea, pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
