"And the crowds asked him, "What then should we do?" He said to them in reply, "Whoever has two tunics should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should do likewise." Luke 3:10-11
Advent Day 3 - As we journey towards Christmas I challenge you to slow down, to not become distracted with all the trappings of the season but to relish the moments of joy, to enjoy each other's company, to appreciate each other. We live in a world that deals with pain and so needs a gentle reminder that We are all loved by God. With out Jesus in our lives, it would become overwhelming, with Jesus it is real joy. Be present with the people God brings along your path, listen, watch, witness the beauty of life.
What is God saying to me: I give you eyes to see and ears to listen, you see what I see, yet I have no hands but yours, no feet but yours, no body but yours. Enjoy your day, it will be a blessing to you, My gift to you, use it wisely.
Dear Father, I am blessed beyond measure with what You are sharing. Help me take my eyes off of self and meet others where they are at. Let me bring the spirit of Jesus every where I go this day. Thank You for the gift of peace, for the gift of patience and the gift of blessed assurance that You are in charge, I decide to participate or not. I choose to participate in all that You ask and I trust in You in the outcome. Prayers for all those feeling pain today may they recognize the love that their Father in Heaven wishes to give. Help each of us see that we get what we give. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
'O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.' (Our Lady originally presented this prayer to St. Catherine Labouré.)
