Psalms 40 - Salvation.

"I delight to do your will, my God; your law is in my inner being!"

LORD, may you not withhold your compassion from me; May your mercy and your faithfulness continually protect me."  Psalms‬ ‭40:9, 12‬

Psalms 40 - Salvation.  There is a hidden grace when we are faithful to God Almighty each day.  It is hard to explain but even in those moments when you are in purgation and you are faithful to God, He comes.  He brings peace into your world and writes His song in your heart.  With the time God is giving you, with the freedom He is giving, in the slowness, spend time with Him.  Allow Him to speak to You, to fill you with His grace.  There is more to this world than the hustle and bustle, there is peace and comfort in knowing God has you in the palm of His hand.  Be blessed today with the salvation of God within.

What is God saying to me:  When you are still and trusting in Me, I do come, you are faithful and I Am always faithful.

Dear Father, You speak without words, it seems as though nothing is happening but there is grace upon grace being poured in.  I thank You Father for Your faithfulness and for the grace to be still and just be.  I thank You Father for this day, I thank You for its blessings and for its opportunities.  I see you at work in many situations bringing all things together for a better world.  May we recognize the rewriting of time, relax and take comfort in knowing You have our best in mind.  Prayers for peace of mind today for all those concerned about tomorrow, You have it Father and I trust You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 39 - Vain Glory

"Man goes about as a mere phantom; they hurry about, although in vain; he heaps up stores without knowing for whom.

You chastise man with rebukes for sin; like a moth you consume his treasures. Every man is but a breath. Selah

Turn your gaze from me, that I may smile before I depart to be no more."  Psalms‬ ‭39:7, 12, 14‬

Psalms 39 - Vain Glory.  When God looks at the world that He created what does He see.  Does He see a people that honors their Creator?  Does He see a people thankful for what they have?  Does He see a people who has, give to those who have not.  Pretty easy to see the answer.  "You who have forsaken Me," declares the LORD, "You keep going backward. So I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you; I am tired of relenting!"  ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭15:6‬.  In the Our Father there is a verse that says lead us not into temptation.  This is where we are at, God is saying you do not want to choose Me, ok, you go about your way then and I like a moth will consume your treasure.  Is it not time we turn back to God, sing praises to Him and thank Him for the life that we have.  Why must we wait until God has had enough, the whole world is suffering, we are all part of the Body of Christ.

What is God saying to me: Turn back to Me, I Am the keeper of your soul.  Like a Good Father, I will discipline My children to correct them.

Dear Father, we are but a breath may our lives be a pleasing offering to You.  May we glorify You, not out of obligation but out of Love like a son to his Father.  I pray for those suffering, living in fear, may they see You, a loving God with arms outstretched.  Father, watch over us this day, protect us from the evil that goes about, muzzle our tongue when it leads to conflict.  May we build up and not tear down each other, may we all work together and keep You at the center of our lives.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 38 - Suffering

"LORD, do not punish me in your anger; in your wrath do not chastise me! Your arrows have sunk deep in me; your hand has come down upon me. There is no wholesomeness in my flesh because of your anger; there is no health in my bones because of my sin."  Psalms‬ ‭38:2-4‬

Psalms 38 - Suffering.  David is suffering the loss of consolation from his Father in Heaven.  He recognizes it is his own sin that is causing this suffering, it is causing the wrath or desolation that he is experiencing.  We too as a world community are experiencing this same desolation, it is not life as normal, things are in disarray.  We are not experiencing comfort in our world, the entire world.  Yet in the midst of these sufferings, like David, we do what he does, we call out to the one known constant, God.  I venture some of you have prayed more over the past two weeks than you have in the past.  Our Father in Heaven does not want to bring down His hand upon us but He also does want us going down to the pits of hell.  He is a good Father who admonishes whom He loves and He loves the whole world.  David recognizes his own sins that has brought about God's wrath, may we collectively recognize our own transgressions and seek God in our daily lives beyond these times.

What is God saying to me: My Son Jesus died on a cross to bring about life, to give hope to the hopeless.  Look upon the crucified Jesus and see the sins that he willingly accepted and be healed.  Experience new life in My Son.

Dear Father, I thank You for Your guiding hand that leads me in these quiet times of prayer.  I see Your love for us and also see You are a jealous God who is getting our attention.  I pray for all those suffering with some form of sickness, may they be healed by Your stripes.  I thank You for this day and it's beauty, May we each count our blessings and be thankful for what we have.  In Jesus name, Amen.

My Jesus, I believe You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my Soul. Since I cannot, at this moment, receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

Psalms 37 - Turn back to Me

"Turn from evil and do good, that you may be settled forever. For the LORD loves justice and does not abandon the faithful. When the unjust are destroyed, and the offspring of the wicked cut off,"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:27-28‬

Psalms 37 - Turn back to me.  "Why are you afraid, do you not have faith?"  I watched yesterday as the Church called out to God in these extraordinary times.  It is written in the Bible how we are called to be.  God has pulled back, He is watching and wondering who will respond to Him.  Our lives have been pulled back, there is time to see the joys of quiet comfort or the pains of hell.  We get to choose who we will follow, will we turn from our evil ways?  Will we respond to the Word of God and do good.  We all know what God is capable of, these times will turn back to a more normal way of life, will you live the lesson taught or will you go back to your old ways.  God's word is truth, He will not abandon the faithful, the unjust will be destroyed and the offspring of the wicked cutoff(the children of the devil).  Stay in the boat, even when Jesus is asleep there is peace.

What is God saying to me: Have Faith in Me, all is well even in the choppy seas, I Am guiding the ship, respond to My Holy Spirit.  Help others find My Son Jesus, life on earth is to be enjoyed with Me not without Me.

Dear Father, Your words speak truth to me, these events speak truth to me, my actions, I pray speak truth to You.  Thank You Father for the many wonderful blessings that are coming out of these times.  Thank You for the faithful becoming stronger, absence makes the heart grow stronger.  Thank You for those walking alone who awaken You in their lives to see the joy of Christ onboard.  Prayers for a friend walking in faith being tossed about.  Prayers for another dealing with the reality of death each day.  Prayers for the doctors and nurses courageously going into battle each day, protect them Father.  Thank You Father for the Church and I look forward to being able to going back to the house of God.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 35 - Awake O Sleeper

"They feast on the rich food of your house; from your delightful stream you give them drink. For with you is the fountain of life, and in your light we see light."  Psalms‬ ‭36:9-10‬

Psalms 35 - Awake O Sleeper.  How much time during your day do you spend with God?  We can busy ourselves that God isn't even a part of our day yet His Word is spirit and life.  The things we chew on make us who we are, the mental food we consume either nourishes the soul or puts out the lights.  Listen to the tell tail signs in your life, are they uplifting signs of God?  Are they rich food?  Is it a delightful stream?   God is giving us time to prepare, he brought darkness into the land of Egypt before the exodus.  The Israelites spent that time behind closed doors honoring God. The Egyptians spent it wondering and living in fear.  "So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was dense darkness throughout the land of Egypt for three days. People could not see one another, nor could they get up from where they were, for three days. But all the Israelites had light where they lived."  ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭10:22-23‬.  Seek the Light.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, You shed light into a dark world, You speak and see the response, You give us time and wait to see what we do with it.  Help us experience new life in Your Son Jesus.  Bring Your word to life for us, make it become real to us.  I pray for all the medical workers, who despite the fear are fulfilling their call in life, protect them Jesus.  I pray for souls who are asleep, jar them awake God.  You are the source of eternal life and we need to see You, we need to gaze upon Your cross and be given freedom from the bondage of this world.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalms 35 - Have Faith.

"My very bones shall say, "O LORD, who is like you, Who rescue the afflicted from the powerful, the afflicted and needy from the despoiler?"

Do not let them say in their hearts, "Aha! Our soul!" Do not let them say, "We have devoured that one!"

But let those who favor my just cause shout for joy and be glad. May they ever say, "Exalted be the LORD who delights in the peace of his loyal servant."" Psalms‬ ‭35:10, 25, 27‬

Psalms 35 - Have Faith.  As you read Psalms 35, the words are David's but if you close your eyes as you read, they can very easily be the thoughts of Christ in His journey as He is being persecuted.  They, David and Jesus, did not fall victim to the trap, they lived in faith, doing the will of their Father.  They did not fall into the pit or let their soul be devoured.  In these times we can listen to all the noise and fall into fear, we can be held captive in the pit of despair or we can live in faith knowing that our Heavenly Father is looking out for us. David did this, Jesus did this and so can you.  He is alive and He lives, live in faith with the peace of Christ in your heart.

What is God saying to me: Be at peace while I Am at work, the greater the tribulation, the greater the Victory.

Dear Father, there is peace in trusting in You, there is victory in living in faith and not listening to the venom that is being spewed.  Prayers for those feeling persecuted by what is going on, who feel trapped, give them the Spirit of Faith, give them peace in the middle of the storm.  You are Mighty God and You stand with Your arms outstretched ready to receive those willing to reach up to you, and You will calm the waves.  I thank You Father, for showing me Jesus this morning, for shedding light into His journey and seeing the victory when the battle is done.  Bless this day Lord, give us peace and give us hope for tomorrow.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 34 - Glorify the Lord

"Fear the LORD, you his holy ones; nothing is lacking to those who fear him. The rich grow poor and go hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:10-11‬

Psalms 34 - Glorify the Lord.  My thoughts turn towards the Son of Man and His Lenten journey some 2000 years ago.  Not really knowing what tomorrow had in store for Him but also knowing that these were some difficult times, some treacherous waters.  He did not concern Himself with self but was concerned for others.  He looked up each day and drew strength and comfort from the guidance of His Heavenly Father.  Our Lenten journey this year has been quite different, has it got you concerned, not knowing what tomorrow brings?  Jesus shows us the way and how to walk in times just like this.  Do not fear the dark of night nor the arrow that flies by day.  Live your life in peace and the same strength that Jesus has, He offers the same gifts to you as He did His Son.

What is God saying to me: I am watching over all these events, who is seeking Me and who is living in fear.  It is written upon their faces.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.  Thy Kingdom come.  Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.  Thank You Father for this beautiful gift of prayer, when we chew on these words each day, it brings treasures into our souls   Bless this day, watch over us and May we glorify You this day, Amen

Psalms 33 - a walk of faith

"A king is not saved by a great army, nor a warrior delivered by great strength.

Our soul waits for the LORD, he is our help and shield." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33:16, 20‬

Psalms 33 - a walk of faith.  God creates all that we see, He spoke and it came to be.  He looks down from Heaven and watches His creation, with the flaws, weaknesses and strengths.  Will we obey Him?  Our human desire does not always align with God's because of sin.  Will we be obedient and trust in God.  Will we sit still and be refreshed by the Creator of the Universe.  There is no fighting nor strength that can conquer what we are in the midst of, the only think is to sit, listen for the Triune God and walk by faith.  Jesus walked this walk, He is the King and he humbled himself.  His shield is His Father and it was a Glorious day when He rose from the dead.  Do not be afraid, put your shield on.

What is God saying to me: Listen and receive.

Dear Father, there is a strength that comes from sitting with You each day.  I learn when I listen to Your direction, now I have to go apply what You have given.  I am not fearful of what is going on just concerned.  It is by Your grace that we are saved and in this we will be better for it if we trust in You.  You are my shield, I thank You for instilling this quiet strength and comfort.  Help me fight the good fight, help me persevere when I am weak, I am trusting in You.  Prayers for the leadership of this country that is locked in a battle with the evil one, overcome their human weaknesses and give them strength to do right by You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 32 - Create in me a clean heart.

"Blessed is the one whose fault is removed, whose sin is forgiven. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes no guilt, in whose spirit is no deceit. Because I kept silent, my bones wasted away; I groaned all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength withered as in dry summer heat. Selah" Psalms‬ ‭32:1-4‬

Psalms 32 - Create in me a clean heart. Guilt has a way of eating on you, a little at a time. We can bury it, cover it up but you and God know it is there, the sin that causes the guilt.  God sees it even though you choose to ignore it or deny it.  There is strength when we come clean, it is acknowledging what God already knows, for nothing is hidden from Him.  You are admitting your sin and seeking His forgiveness, the reason He died on the cross.  Freedom comes when we admit our fault, we cleanse our souls and we have a contrite spirit.  When was the last time you went to confession, relieve the burden you are carrying, God will take it from you but you must be willing to come forward.
What is God saying to me: My Son died in vain when you hold onto your sin.  I already know what was done.  Trust in Me, I will cleanse the inside of the cup and remove the guilt.

Dear Lord God, it is such a peaceful, quiet morning to sit with You.  My Spirit rejoices in being here today.  My eyes are weary but my heart is full knowing I am loved by You.  Search my spirit Lord and uncover what needs to be cleansed, You know what is buried and forgotten.  I thank You for what this day holds, I thank You for the blessings of the stillness, for families spending time together and reconnecting.  I thank You for the servants who are willing to share the gifts they have been given.  You are cleansing the cup and removing the burden of guilt, that holds so many back from Your love.  Prayers for a friend living in a difficult situation continue to heal and shine light into the darkness.  Bless this day Father and use me where You need me.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 31 - God will free you

"Into your hands I commend my spirit; you will redeem me, LORD, God of truth.

Blessed be the LORD, marvelously he showed to me his mercy in a fortified city. Though I had said in my alarm, "I am cut off from your eyes." Yet you heard my voice, my cry for mercy, when I pleaded with you for help. Love the LORD, all you who are faithful to him. The LORD protects the loyal, but repays the arrogant in full. Be strong and take heart, all who hope in the LORD."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭31:6, 22-25‬

Psalms 31 - God will free you.  Listen for the Lord in these words, you are not alone for you live in a fortified city.  Be blessed in knowing that no matter what happens you are free from everything around you when you trust in God.  In your time of help, cry out to God and He will lead you to safety.  These times are blessed times for all the bondage we carry is being unloaded, our time is being freed and our minds are being uncluttered.  What is truly important to you, you will gravitate towards it.   God in your life is a blessing beyond measure, there are no walls, only loving arms.

What is God saying to me: I love you ❤️💕

Dear Father, may I be super sensitive to the promptings of Your Holy Spirit.  May I listen with attentive ears and feel Your loving embrace.  Father, we are blessed to be able to spend this time with You and those we love dearly.  You are cutting a new path in lives, shinning Your light into dark places and bringing home the lost sheep.  Save us from the bondage of this world and free us from the imprisonments of these world.  Fill our hearts with You, give us spiritual food to eat and bless our homes with love.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 30 - Get in the game

"Complacent, I once said, "I shall never be shaken." LORD, you showed me favor, established for me mountains of virtue. But when you hid your face I was struck with terror. To you, LORD, I cried out; with the Lord I pleaded for mercy: "What gain is there from my lifeblood, from my going down to the grave? Does dust give you thanks or declare your faithfulness? Hear, O LORD, have mercy on me; LORD, be my helper.""  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30:7-11‬

Psalms 30 - Get in the game.  I wonder what shook David?  What happened to David to wake him from his slumber?  We can all fall asleep with the comforts of life but what happens when they are taken away?  We reach out, we learn to trust in God for tomorrow not in our own foolish ways.  You shall walk by faith not by sight.  God can not be seen but He is there, He is heard.  He is our helper and He is calling you up.  Do not be afraid, in the words of His Son.  "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live and you will live."  John‬ ‭14:18-19‬

What is God saying to me: All is well, I can see tomorrow, do what I ask and live.

Dear Father, I feel Your comfort this morning, in hearing You speak.  You know I trust You though at times it seems like I am blind.  Your words speak spirit and life that gives me hope.  I will honor You today in actions trusting in You.  Thank You Father for waking us from our slumber and calling each of us up in unique ways.  Life is a team event and You are the coach.  Prayers for friends not feeling well, they are faithful servants Father, heal them.  Bring peace back into our lives and a sense of purpose other than feeding self.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 29 - A Holy fear

"A psalm of David. Give to the LORD, you sons of God, give to the LORD glory and might; Give to the LORD the glory due his name. Bow down before the LORD's holy splendor!

The LORD sits enthroned above the flood! The LORD reigns as king forever! May the LORD give might to his people; may the LORD bless his people with peace!"
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭29:1-2, 10-11‬

Psalms 29 - A Holy fear.  Has God gotten your attention?  I sit in the dark once again and reach out for God.  I give to the Lord in the way He has taught me, not really knowing if it is right or wrong but trusting in His Divine will.  Moses lived in such a time as these, Pharaoh didn't want to listen to God, he chose to ignore Him.  Moses did what God asked him, yet Pharaoh thought he had a better way.  Each day I awake and go to God, in Him I have found peace, He sits with me and we talk, He is a man of few words yet somehow I know He is speaking.  Look around you, pay attention, God is at work.  This isn't some experiment that just happened.  Like Moses and Pharaoh, you will choose to believe or not believe.

What is God saying to me: I am sifting.

Dear Father, I pray for this world, that it wakes up and recognizes You, that is has a Holy fear.  Not a fear such as panic or dread but a fear of losing Your love.  I see You at work in hearts, breaking the bonds of self comfort and giving hope to the hopeless.  Thank You Father for diligently waking me each day to praise You.  You know my challenges and some days I do not feel like it yet we figure it out.  Teach others to find time for You Father, to sit in the stillness and trust in Your guidance.  Prayers for all the world that is being impacted by this plague, may they find peace by following You.  I ask this in my Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Psalms 28 - Happy Feast of St Joesph

"The LORD is my strength and my shield, in whom my heart trusts. I am helped, so my heart rejoices; with my song I praise him. LORD, you are a strength for your people, the saving refuge of your anointed.  Save your people, bless your inheritance; pasture and carry them forever!"  Psalms‬ ‭28:7-9

Psalms 28 - He hears you.  David is calling for help, not really sure if he is heard or not, he is seeking God and then He answers.  In my prayer time this morning, God took me to a memory of when I was a young boy.  It was the most perfect day, nothing special other than my grandmother hanging out clothes on a perfect summer day.  The wind was gently blowing, clouds in the sky and a picture perfect day.  In our calling out to God, recognize His answers.

What is God saying to me:  Listen attentively, see the colors, feel the breeze, hear the sounds.  I may not always speak in words but in images or memories.

Dear Father, that was the perfect day burned into my memory, it brings hope and peace when I call out.  Thank You Father for allowing me to see, thank You Father for allowing me to call out, not all know to call out, they walk around blindly lost in their ways.  Use me this day Lord for doing what needs done.  Prayers for all the medical workers who willingly go, give them strength Lord and also memories of Heaven on earth.  Bless the upcoming virtual men's conference, You are with us and all who dial in.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 27 - Calm yourself.

"One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:4-5, 14‬

Psalms 27 - Calm yourself.  Our daily routines are being disrupted, plans are changing, events are being canceled.  In times of trouble how do you respond?  Are you stocking up with supplies, are you running scared or are you finding comfort in trusting in the Lord.  These times are difficult but this too shall pass and things will return to a new normal.  Are you taking advantage of a different pace of life, finding time to visit with others, seeking Christ in your life.  We can fall victim to the schemes of the devil or like Christ who was lifted up upon a rock, we can look up.  There is a peace when we turn to God for it is no longer I but God who leads the way.

What is God saying to me: Listen, do you hear that, the normal rhythm of the morning, no anxiety, no madness, just the normal stillness of the day.  Enjoy your day for I go before you in complete control and so should you.

Dear Father, I am enjoying the peace this morning, the gentle reminder that You are God and all is well.  Thank You for the grace to persevere in times like this, to continue to push on when things seem discombobulated.  I thank You Father for the blessings of others who are walking in faith and receiving grace upon grace.  Your ways are not our ways and in these times Father, You are gaining ground in the lives of many.  May we all claim the peace and calm when we trust in You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 26 - Examination

"Of David. Judge me, LORD! For I have walked in my integrity. In the LORD I trust; I do not falter. Examine me, Lord, and test me; search my heart and mind. Your mercy is before my eyes; I walk guided by your faithfulness."  Psalms‬ ‭26:1-3‬

Psalms 26 - Examination.  Can you sit in the presence of God and be examined?  Do you get fidgety?  Can you sit still and listen for God's guidance?  Not always easy as God sees right thru you, He does point out your faults and shows you areas that need addressing.  It is also in these moments that you feel His loving embrace for a father only corrects someone He loves.  Today we begin again guided by the Triune God, Listen to Him.

What is God saying to me: See the beauty that surrounds you and listen.  In these quiet moments I speak and show you truth in your life.  Live the life I am giving you.

Dear Father, it is such a beautiful morning, watching You at work both around me and within me.  There is a lot to be thankful for this morning the most of which is Your love and Your constant reminder that I Am loved by You.  Prayers today for those who are in positions to make difficult decisions, may they be guided by Your faithfulness in their lives.  I thank You Father for what this day has to hold, I thank You for Your strength as we move forward.  I thank You Father for Your reminders in our lives that You are always there, leading the way.   In Jesus name, Amen.

"Of David. To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul,

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; I wait for you, O LORD."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:1, 21‬

Psalms 25 - Change.  My spirit stirs this morning not really knowing what to say.  There is an unknown about the events that are going on and what tomorrow has yet to unfold.  Yet there is also a comfort in the ways of old, in the value of prayer and being in your presence Lord.  Oh how my heart wants to praise You.  "Make known to me your ways, LORD; teach me your paths. Guide me by your fidelity and teach me, for you are God my savior, for you I wait all the day long."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:4-5‬. There is no better way than to wait upon the Lord, in Him we trust.

What is God saying to me:  I have got your attention, now we will learn to trust in Me, for you walk by faith and not by sight, tomorrow is Mine.

Dear Father God, this is foreign to me and to many.  I pray for the strength to move forward without seeing yet trusting in our steps.  Watch over us Father and lead us in the ways we are to go.  Prayers for all those who are worried, give them comfort in knowing You.  I thank You for Holy Mother Church, in Her infinite wisdom to guide us in difficult times.  Bless this day Father, keep us safe and may we rest easy in knowing You are in control.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 24 - God will provide #nationaldayofprayer

"A psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's and all it holds, the world and those who dwell in it. For he founded it on the seas, established it over the rivers.

Lift up your heads, O gates; be lifted, you ancient portals, that the king of glory may enter. Who is this king of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in war." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24:1-2, 7-8‬

Psalms 24 - God will provide - #nationaldayofprayer I recall a story in God's word where it started raining to the point it began to flood and the world was in a panic and wanted to get in the boat but the boat wasn't built for everyone.  It isn't raining, the world is in a panic and the boat is God, are you getting into the boat.  I am also reminded of a story of Abraham and Isaac going up a mountain, Abraham walking in faith about to sacrifice his son and at the last minute God provides the sacrifice.  God gave us this world, He has provided for all of your needs if you would honor Him, if you will give Him His rightful place in your life.

Today we all have a reason to pray for one cause, the entire world has the same challenges that we have.  Will I get sick, do I have enough food, God will provide.  Pray for all the medical workers that are in the midst of this chaos, pray for all the warehouse people struggling to supply the food demand, pray for the families that have a loved one with the sickness and pray for yourself that God has His rightful place in your life.  God will provide, He always has given His children all that they need.  Pray for one another day and Thank our Heavenly Father for His strong and mighty hand.

What is God saying to me: Be at peace, this too shall pass, I have My rightful place in your life.  Help others find this peace, I will provide for all of your needs.

Dear Father, we are truly blessed to be living at this time.  You will provide for all of our needs, you will give us food when needed, you will cure us of illness and you will not abandon us.  Thank You God for this confidence in You, Your word continually gives us images of Your hand at work.  I pray for all those who have ignored You in their lives, I pray they see the need for You.  I pray they enter the Ark before it is too late.  Thank You Father for all those who are taking care of us, give them strength to continue to do Your will.  I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, Amen.

Psalms 23 - bringing God along

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me."  Psalms‬ ‭23:4‬

Psalms 23 - bringing God along.  Do you find comfort in God and the Ten Commandments?  Jesus didn't avoid sin, He took on our sin but He didn't sin.  I have spent this week in Las Vegas for work with all its trappings.  It was a walk through the shadow of death yet I was not alone for each day God was with me, His staff, Jesus, was leading the way.  His rod, the Ten Commandments, was adverting my eyes, my thoughts and my actions from stepping the wrong way.  In our quiet time with God He will shine light into the areas of our lives that are taking us into the danger zone.  Daily prayer time with God is so important, visiting, listening and obeying, bring God along in all things.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, I pray that others see the importance of a daily walk with You.  It is such a joy to listen and be attentive to Your whisperings.  We do walk through the valley of the shadow of death, it does cinch us but You are always there when we spend time together leading the way.  I pray for hearts to change, for souls to be strengthened and for others to not run when Your name is mentioned.  They may try to avoid You but the hounds of Heaven will not stop pursuing until the end of time.  Bless this day Father, give us safe travels and a pure heart.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 22 - Faith and deliverance

"In you our fathers trusted; they trusted and you rescued them. To you they cried out and they escaped; in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

Deliver my soul from the sword, my life from the grip of the dog.

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD; All the families of nations will bow low before him." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭22:5-6, 21, 28‬

Psalms 22 - Faith and deliverance.  Surrounded by noise it becomes hard to think and settle ones self.  David is threatened by what is going on in his world, his words reflect the future crucifixion of Christ yet it is he who is living them.  We are in the midst of something the world has not experienced and in the midst of the dilemma, God is still in control.  We are to slow down, the things that we have depended upon will change yet God is still in control.   We listen and know that all is well, no matter what happens, God is there.  Some are learning to bow down and remember their roots, the dogs crip is being released.  Breath easy, trust in God and just be still.

What is God saying to me: You still have breath in your lungs, a roof over your head, you are well cared for.  Listen and be still.

Dear Father, a lot has transpired this day from when I first woke up yet we are reminded to live in peace.  Our lives are in your hands Father and you will not forsake us.  Help those who are fearful to turn to You in prayer, give them peace in their hearts.  May we be cautious in our responses and trust in your divine providence.  Thank You Father for good memories this week, for the opportunity to honor You and for the strength that resides in my heart.  The boat may rock a bit but You are always at the helm.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 21 - The heart of a King

"You make him the pattern of blessings forever, you gladden him with the joy of your face. For the king trusts in the LORD, stands firm through the mercy of the Most High."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭21:7-8‬

Psalms 21 - the heart of a king.  Have you encountered Jesus?  King David has, for he speaks of Him all the time.  David's source of strength comes directly from God, he stands in the gap with God Himself, there is no fear in him for God is with him.  We are called to pattern our life after Jesus, to do the same as David and live the life God gives us with Him on the inside.  That is God's message this morning, the worlds message is what today?  It is being pumped into the culture.  "For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control."  ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬.  Live the life God gives you, not the life the world gives.

What is God saying to me: Be at peace, there is forgiveness and hope in your heart.

Dear Lord God, I see You moving mountains all around, I see victory in the kingdom coming for You give us the heart of a lion when we are consistent in our daily prayer life.  Father speak life into the culture, speak victory into the world, for You have prepared many for what is coming.  No matter how hard the world works at interfering, You always shine through the darkness when Jesus is our blessings each day.  Prayers today for God to penetrate hearts and remove the fear and doubt that is getting in the way.  Thank You Father for the blessings and the victory's, May they glorify You and not I.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 20 - Do you love God?

"Grant what is in your heart, fulfill your every plan.

Some rely on chariots, others on horses, but we on the name of the LORD our God."  Psalms‬ ‭20:5, 8‬

Psalms 20 - Do you love God.  Where is God at in your life?  Is He the first thought of the day? The second? The last? Or maybe not even a thought?  God grants what is in our heart, think about the bad decisions you have made, God didn't grant the outcome but He allowed you to fulfill your every plan.  David recognizes where his strength comes from, it isn't him but God within.  Some rely upon the trappings of the world for their satisfaction and in that scenario they ultimately lose.  David relies upon God, He is first in David's life, God is his desire so no matter what comes his way, it is of God for God Sits in His rightful place in David's life.  Where does God sit at in your life?

What is God saying to me: All is well this morning, I Am in My rightful place and you do not go alone.

Dear Father, it is good that we are here together, there was a time in my life it was just myself which didn't always work in our favor.  I thank You for being front and center, for being an integral part of my life and for waking me up to Your place in my heart.  Prayers for Your will be done and not mine this day.  I call upon Your name for victory and readily accept the outcome, for without You, I would be lost in the sea.  Bless this day Father, May we glorify You, Amen.

Psalms 19 - God speaks to the heart

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the firmament proclaims the works of his hands. Day unto day pours forth speech; night unto night whispers knowledge." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:2-3‬

Psalms 19 - God speaks to the heart.  The perfect will of God, each day the sun rises and the sun sets, it does what it does and we all feel the effects of it.  David slows down and pays attention to what is important, he watches life and listens for the whispers, he gives God his time and sits still.  We as well must slow down and listen, giving God the opportunity to penetrate our hearts and radiate His warmth.  His ways are perfect, just like the path of the sun, there is purpose in all.  David realized this by being still and watching, we all can learn from consistent face to face with the Master of the universe.

What is God saying to me:  Be still and watch, your life is under my control.  I know your feet want to go someplace else but I have you here.  Be still and listen, there is purpose in this, just like the rising and setting of the Sun, watch and listen.  I will give opportunities to speak.  Go in peace this day, I am shining within.

Dear Father, I sit and reflect this morning, waiting on the whisper, trying to determine the next right step and trusting in Your guidance.  I can see that David did the same in his life and put it down for us to read later.  A life in Your presence brings peace, it calms fears and brings about transformation, may we all learn from David's words.  Prayers for two friends waiting upon biopsy results, may they hear You speak and not allow fear to creep in and prayers for their spouses as they help carry their loved ones burdens.  Bless this day Father, be always on my lips, we are battle ready.  In Jesus name, Amen.  Triune God be my all! Triune God be my all! Triune God be my all!

Psalms 18 - Life, death and resurrection

"He made darkness his cloak around him; his canopy, water-darkened stormclouds.

He reached down from on high and seized me; drew me out of the deep waters." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18:12, 17‬

Psalms 18 - Life, death and resurrection.  God made darkness His cloak, now that is an interesting verse but also true.  In our cries for help, these typically happen in times of distress when it seems like God is not there.  Jesus cried out in the garden and was still arrested.  God uses those periods of our lives to draw us closer, to lay a firm foundation.  We can stay in the darkness and constantly feel lost or we can trust in God, Jesus did on the Villa De LaRosa.  There is victory in Christ when we trust in Him even in the darkness.  Read Psalm 18, there is life, a type of death we all experience and victory or resurrection.  Trust in the Lord, without Him you are nothing, with Him you are everything.

What is God saying to me:  There is life after the pain, there is purpose for everything, in Me, there is joy and hope and everlasting life even while you are still on earth.

Dear Lord, You have rescued me from the enemy, You have pulled me out of the deep and life is filled with victory.  You do work in mysterious ways for I would not of dreamt of this.  I thank You for answered prayers with Lily Kate, she will soon be coming home.  I thank You for this life of peace, even in the chaos.  Watch over us these week, send Your angels to guard us and give us victory in our daily battles for You will not be defeated.  Prayers for friends that are getting operations this week, all is well.  Prayers for someone who is cloaked in darkness, all is well.  You are Mighty God and I am Yours, Amen.

Psalms 17 - Give me Jesus

"Rise, O LORD, confront and cast them down; rescue my soul from the wicked. Slay them with your sword; with your hand, LORD, slay them; snatch them from the world in their prime. Their bellies are being filled with your friends; their children are satisfied too, for they share what is left with their young."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭17:13-14‬

Psalms 17 - Give me Jesus.  As I read Psalm 17, David, a man walking in faith must of been facing some tremendous peril as he put them into words.  He must of felt surrounded and really needing God.  Then I read it from the perspective of Jesus during His last days and the scripture came to life.  His plea was not to place harm upon those who were coming after Him but to snatch them from the world, to give them a new life.  David was living the life of Jesus, can we live the life of Jesus?  Can we wish good for those who are persecuting us?  Can we live this Psalm?  We can if we have Jesus on the inside just as David had.

What is God saying to me:  My Son lives, David lived his life filled with My presence and sought Me out in his daily life.  This verse gives evidence to his victory.  "I am just—let me see your face; when I awake, let me be filled with your presence."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭17:15‬ ‭You do the same!

Dear Father, You prepare me for the day and put that yearning in my soul to be with You in the morning.  I am seeing victory spreading and hearts being snatched from the world.  You are inflaming the hearts of the faithful and giving us new hearts.  Thank You Father for the opportunities that You place in front of us to give You witness to Your presence in our lives.  Prayers for those feeling persecuted may they be filled with the presence of Jesus in their lives and stand tall.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 16 - Peace

"LORD, my allotted portion and my cup, you have made my destiny secure.

I bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my heart exhorts me.

Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure,"  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭16:5, 7, 9‬

Psalms 16 - Peace.  Walk by faith, not by sight.  Who counsels you?  From the time we are born, we are being guided and given direction by our parents and family.  Then when we become adults we will take advice from others but blaze our own path.  We need sage advice to be secure in life.  David learned that God was his allotted portion, in Him he is secure.   He listens to the heart of God and receives his direction.  We all want security, we want peace in our life and we want to be united with God.  Listening to God will provide all of this plus you will be prepared for Heaven and not having to cram for your finals.  Why would one waste their life and not take their allotment of God?

What is God saying to me:  Be still, all is well

Dear Father, there are joyful noises this morning in the room, filled with excitement and joy.  We can all learn a lot from the wisdom of a child, eyes of amazement, dependent upon another for their security.  I thank You Father for their innocence and Your guidance through them.  Prayers for my granddaughter who is still in the NICU, may she be coming home soon to be united with her sisters.  Thank You Father for the gentle reminders of a simple life lived with You.  Bless this day Lord, bless our actions and may we follow your counsel.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 15 - Come Holy Ghost

"A psalm of David. LORD, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy mountain? Whoever walks without blame, doing what is right, speaking truth from the heart; Who does not slander with his tongue, does no harm to a friend, never defames a neighbor; Who disdains the wicked, but honors those who fear the LORD; Who keeps an oath despite the cost, lends no money at interest, accepts no bribe against the innocent. Whoever acts like this shall never be shaken."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭15:1-5‬

Psalms 15 - Come Holy Ghost.  What was your initial thought when you read this Psalm?  Mine was, well that isn't me, in so many ways I fall short of the glory of God.  But I am reminded that it is not I but Christ within that is capable of doing exactly as the this Psalm reads.  The journey into God's heart is a progressive one, happening a little each day.  Now go back and read the Psalm with the understanding that it is Christ within that can make the impossible happen.  "yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me."  Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬.  That is the goal today.

What is God saying to me: My beloved son, it in those little steps each day that you begin to realize what areas of your life need adjusting.  It may seem far off in the distance but you are closer than you think.  Your prayers are being answered in ways you are not expecting.

Dear Father, I thank You this morning for the gentle reminder of who I am and who I walk with.  May I do Christ justice this day even in my weakness, He is still there pushing me on.  Father, You know the prayer of my heart and what drives me, I trust in Your divine mercy and grace to fulfill this prayer for nothing is impossible for You.  Thank You Lord for this day, thank You for Your grace to go into the world and be me, may I be me with You on the inside, together we are unstoppable.  Prayers for all those living with fear, may they see that God only allows what we can handle, may we each learn to walk in faith and not create any ripples upon the waters.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 14 - Gentle wisdom and power

"They would crush the hopes of the poor, but the poor have the LORD as their refuge."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:6‬

Psalms 14 - Gentle wisdom and power.  Listening for God, do you know how to do that?  It takes practice and patients to sit perfectly still and wait upon the Lord.  You pay attention to your senses but do not move. The itch you ignore, the urge to move you ignore, just you and God, sitting together.  In this stillness, whether you perceive it or not, God communicates with your soul, He gives you a respite from all the troubles of the day.  The pleading stops, the troubles go away, there is peace and calm in an otherwise fast paced world.  This is the refuge that God is speaking about, this is why when you go into your day, you realize that all is well.  Find that quiet time, be still and take refuge in the presence of God.

What is God saying to me: Carry this into your day, when feeling uneasy, remember who is in control of your world, there is nothing to fear.

Dear Father, we are inundated with sensory overload in the world, we lose touch with You, in the stillness You are found and we realize all is well.  Thank You Father for handling all the daily situations and being out front, I fear no evil for You are with me.  I pray for those who run ahead and do not walk with You, they miss out on the beauty of a life with You.  Prayers for a little one journeying into this world, continue to strengthen her to fulfill her purpose in life.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 13 - the wisdom of years.

"How long, LORD? Will you utterly forget me? How long will you hide your face from me?

But I trust in your mercy. Grant my heart joy in your salvation, I will sing to the LORD, for he has dealt bountifully with me!" ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭13:2, 6‬

Psalms 13 - The wisdom of years.  As you read this Psalm you can almost feel David's pleading with God, you can hear his prayer and feel his anguish as he is being pursued.  How many of us have the same pleading with God, but leave out the last line?  Jesus has a similar conversation with His Father and does not leave out the last line.  "saying, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:42‬.  In our lives, there is purpose for everything, look for what God is doing with the situation, accept His will and like David and Jesus, trust in God.

What is God saying to me: I am doing something new in you, look for the treasure and find the peace.

Dear Father, I can see the humanity of David and in a way, see his divinity by accepting what is going on and also knowing that joy is just around the corner.  Father, help us see the treasures in our pleadings with You, You are doing something new and like those before us, it will not happen until we trust in You.  Your ways are always better than our ways.  Thank You Father for another beautiful granddaughter, she is precious and a gift from Heaven.  I pray for all those who are walking at planned parenthood, may we all recognize it is God's body and His will that brings us everlasting peace.  Praise be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Psalms 12 - Children of God

""Because they rob the weak, and the needy groan, I will now arise," says the LORD; "I will grant safety to whoever longs for it." The promises of the LORD are sure, silver refined in a crucible, silver purified seven times."  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭12:6-7‬

Psalms 12 - Children of God.  David laments when he goes into his inner room to pray.  He sees the ways of the world and many following their own ways.  He has found the treasure that many seek for but do not sit still to find it.  God speaks thru him for he is listening.   When we enter into prayer with God, the true gift is presented in listening, in hearing God speak, David found this.  The same Holy Spirit that helped King David, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John is available to each of us.  Will you allow God to arise in you this Easter season?

What is God saying to me: I speak and you listen.  The images I give are from above, the insights are from above, I see you sitting there in the stillness.  It is I who gives you this desire, it is a refining process that does not happen overnight, as long as you come, I will be there to assist.

Dear Father, You have awakened my heart this morning, You have given that desire to know You, to know those that went before and to know my path going forward.  There are many that want the easy way, this isn't You.  Your way requires all our faculties that You gave, I thank You for providing all that we need to journey home.  It isn't an easy road, there are many pitfalls but You shining within is leading us forward.  Prayers for a friend that has not had it easy in life, he has gotten lost a couple of times but You are leading him now, it is You that is leading him to safety.  Bless this day Father, where ever You go, I go.  Amen.

Psalms 11 - The presence of God

"In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains! See how the wicked string their bows, fit their arrows to the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright of heart. If foundations are destroyed, what can the just one do?""  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭11:1-3‬

Psalms 11 - The presence of God.  I am in awe of King David's words, where does this depth come from?  "Then King David went in and sat in the LORD's presence and said, "Who am I, Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you should have brought me so far?" ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:18‬. David sat in God's presence and this was his foundation, there was nothing to fear for God is with him.  Would God deny us His true presence in this time?  No! He is available to each of us, if we take the time and go the Holy of Holies.  In there, there is no fear, there is peace and there is depth to your thinking just like David.  David did not flee in times of trouble, he trusted in God, the same advice is true today when you are in communion with God.  Lots of scary things out there shooting arrows but with a strong foundation, sitting in His presence, all is well.

What is God saying to me: Can you see King David, sitting in the Holy of Holies, I Am available to all today.

Dear Father, the bows are being strung and Your song birds will go about their day without a care in the world for You are with them.  I thank You for the peace and the imagery within Your word, I love the picture.  Prayers for a world wanting to flee to the mountains when all they have to do is be still and listen.  Watch over us today Lord, just like the song bird, all will be well if we do what You ask of us.  Prayers for a couple learning to trust and love each other again, may they hear the joy of singing again.  Prayers for a friend in a car accident, may You shine upon him.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Psalms 10 - A prophetic message.

"Why, LORD, do you stand afar and pay no heed in times of trouble? Arrogant scoundrels pursue the poor; they trap them by their cunning schemes.

The LORD is king forever; the nations have vanished from his land. You listen, LORD, to the needs of the poor; you strengthen their heart and incline your ear. You win justice for the orphaned and oppressed; no one on earth will cause terror again."  Psalms‬ ‭10:1-2, 16-18‬

Psalms 10 - A prophetic message.  There is a joy in pondering Your word Lord, in listening to the events of ones life and seeing the distance but also realizing that it is us that is distant.  It is us that fall victim to their cunning schemes, it is us that are poor who do not obey Your word, much like Adam in the garden.  Yet You provide a way for us to be strengthened, to open up a new world that is filled with wonder and amazement.  Our hearts yearn to know, once we have encountered You and wait with anticipation what is around the corner.  With You, the fear is removed for we are together and You created all.

What is God saying to me: The wind may blow and it may get cold but You hear My calling, for I Am always there.  You see I speak and when you are ready, You listen.

Dear Triune God, thank You for the grace to ponder Your word today, I could not wait to see what was there.  King David, is a man of God who walked with You and consulted You, who spent time in the quiet so we could hear You today.  I am blessed to have this time this morning to listen.  Prayers for an expectant mother and father, calm their anxieties and bring forth a beautiful baby Lord, when the time is right.  Prayers for the upcoming men's conference, it will just as You have planned.  Bless this beautiful spring day, and may we enjoy the blessings You are seeking to give.  I ask this in the name who is Lord forever, Jesus Christ, Amen.
