"My very bones shall say, "O LORD, who is like you, Who rescue the afflicted from the powerful, the afflicted and needy from the despoiler?"
Do not let them say in their hearts, "Aha! Our soul!" Do not let them say, "We have devoured that one!"
But let those who favor my just cause shout for joy and be glad. May they ever say, "Exalted be the LORD who delights in the peace of his loyal servant."" Psalms 35:10, 25, 27
Psalms 35 - Have Faith. As you read Psalms 35, the words are David's but if you close your eyes as you read, they can very easily be the thoughts of Christ in His journey as He is being persecuted. They, David and Jesus, did not fall victim to the trap, they lived in faith, doing the will of their Father. They did not fall into the pit or let their soul be devoured. In these times we can listen to all the noise and fall into fear, we can be held captive in the pit of despair or we can live in faith knowing that our Heavenly Father is looking out for us. David did this, Jesus did this and so can you. He is alive and He lives, live in faith with the peace of Christ in your heart.
What is God saying to me: Be at peace while I Am at work, the greater the tribulation, the greater the Victory.
Dear Father, there is peace in trusting in You, there is victory in living in faith and not listening to the venom that is being spewed. Prayers for those feeling persecuted by what is going on, who feel trapped, give them the Spirit of Faith, give them peace in the middle of the storm. You are Mighty God and You stand with Your arms outstretched ready to receive those willing to reach up to you, and You will calm the waves. I thank You Father, for showing me Jesus this morning, for shedding light into His journey and seeing the victory when the battle is done. Bless this day Lord, give us peace and give us hope for tomorrow. In Jesus name, Amen.
