"How long, LORD? Will you utterly forget me? How long will you hide your face from me?
But I trust in your mercy. Grant my heart joy in your salvation, I will sing to the LORD, for he has dealt bountifully with me!" Psalms 13:2, 6
Psalms 13 - The wisdom of years. As you read this Psalm you can almost feel David's pleading with God, you can hear his prayer and feel his anguish as he is being pursued. How many of us have the same pleading with God, but leave out the last line? Jesus has a similar conversation with His Father and does not leave out the last line. "saying, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." Luke 22:42. In our lives, there is purpose for everything, look for what God is doing with the situation, accept His will and like David and Jesus, trust in God.
What is God saying to me: I am doing something new in you, look for the treasure and find the peace.
Dear Father, I can see the humanity of David and in a way, see his divinity by accepting what is going on and also knowing that joy is just around the corner. Father, help us see the treasures in our pleadings with You, You are doing something new and like those before us, it will not happen until we trust in You. Your ways are always better than our ways. Thank You Father for another beautiful granddaughter, she is precious and a gift from Heaven. I pray for all those who are walking at planned parenthood, may we all recognize it is God's body and His will that brings us everlasting peace. Praise be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Mary, Mother of Mercy, pray for us.
St Joesph, pray for us.
