Psalms 27 - Calm yourself.

"One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:4-5, 14‬

Psalms 27 - Calm yourself.  Our daily routines are being disrupted, plans are changing, events are being canceled.  In times of trouble how do you respond?  Are you stocking up with supplies, are you running scared or are you finding comfort in trusting in the Lord.  These times are difficult but this too shall pass and things will return to a new normal.  Are you taking advantage of a different pace of life, finding time to visit with others, seeking Christ in your life.  We can fall victim to the schemes of the devil or like Christ who was lifted up upon a rock, we can look up.  There is a peace when we turn to God for it is no longer I but God who leads the way.

What is God saying to me: Listen, do you hear that, the normal rhythm of the morning, no anxiety, no madness, just the normal stillness of the day.  Enjoy your day for I go before you in complete control and so should you.

Dear Father, I am enjoying the peace this morning, the gentle reminder that You are God and all is well.  Thank You for the grace to persevere in times like this, to continue to push on when things seem discombobulated.  I thank You Father for the blessings of others who are walking in faith and receiving grace upon grace.  Your ways are not our ways and in these times Father, You are gaining ground in the lives of many.  May we all claim the peace and calm when we trust in You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Men's Conference is going virtual, we will not be meeting in Victoria but be going online, more details to follow, keep one another in prayer as we all navigate these waters.
