"LORD, do not punish me in your anger; in your wrath do not chastise me! Your arrows have sunk deep in me; your hand has come down upon me. There is no wholesomeness in my flesh because of your anger; there is no health in my bones because of my sin." Psalms 38:2-4
Psalms 38 - Suffering. David is suffering the loss of consolation from his Father in Heaven. He recognizes it is his own sin that is causing this suffering, it is causing the wrath or desolation that he is experiencing. We too as a world community are experiencing this same desolation, it is not life as normal, things are in disarray. We are not experiencing comfort in our world, the entire world. Yet in the midst of these sufferings, like David, we do what he does, we call out to the one known constant, God. I venture some of you have prayed more over the past two weeks than you have in the past. Our Father in Heaven does not want to bring down His hand upon us but He also does want us going down to the pits of hell. He is a good Father who admonishes whom He loves and He loves the whole world. David recognizes his own sins that has brought about God's wrath, may we collectively recognize our own transgressions and seek God in our daily lives beyond these times.
What is God saying to me: My Son Jesus died on a cross to bring about life, to give hope to the hopeless. Look upon the crucified Jesus and see the sins that he willingly accepted and be healed. Experience new life in My Son.
Dear Father, I thank You for Your guiding hand that leads me in these quiet times of prayer. I see Your love for us and also see You are a jealous God who is getting our attention. I pray for all those suffering with some form of sickness, may they be healed by Your stripes. I thank You for this day and it's beauty, May we each count our blessings and be thankful for what we have. In Jesus name, Amen.

My Jesus, I believe You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my Soul. Since I cannot, at this moment, receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
