Week 6 - The Journey Day 4
"Amen, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town." Matthew 10:15
Jesus sends the disciples in groups of two to go and proclaim the Kingdom. And in each community they are either received or they dust off their sandals and move on. What fruit is there in this verse for us to take away? We each play a role in our own towns/communities. Are you the faith filled influence like the disciples that will change the future or will you deny the voice of God.
Each of us our called to proclaim the Kingdom of God, Sodom and Gomorrah didn't listen to the Son of David, we do. In sitting in the presence of God, seeing the evidence of God in action will change you and those around you. Do not be deterred in going forward, live your faith, be bold. There are consequences for future generations within your own community.
What is God saying to me: Just Be, don't do, I will make it happen.
Dear Father, there is no better way to start the day then in your presence. You painted pictures this morning that brought back a great memory, a memory of a life that was not afraid to speak her mind. I thank You for the blessings of all those that went before us, that heard you say "Go", may we each be the example that You are calling us too. Prayers for Your will to be accomplished, prayers for Your heart to beat strongly within each of Your Disciples. Thank You Father for this day and all it has to offer, I ask this in Jesus name, amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Model of Workmen, Pray for us.
