"the site where he had first built the altar; and there Abram invoked the LORD by name.
Abram moved his tents and went on to settle near the oak of Mamre, which is at Hebron. There he built an altar to the LORD." Genesis 13:4, 18

Read Genesis 13
Where does your power come from? How many of us would throw caution to the wind and let someone else choose our path? "Is not the whole land available? Please separate from me. If you prefer the left, I will go to the right; if you prefer the right, I will go to the left."" Genesis 13:9. Abram's power does not come from being in control, it does not come from his wealth and stature, it comes from his faith in God. A strong prayer life, a faith life built upon trusting God. Accepting the path and outcome, knowing God is in control. Beginning each day, each journey, each decision with God and ending it with God. This is Abrams power and we can learn a lot from him.
What is God saying to me: Your humanness and weakness struggles with this. Trust in me with your whole heart, your whole mind, your whole body and I will show you amazing things.
Dear Abba Father, You are so good to me and I fall short each day of letting go. Thank You for giving the insight into Your prophet Abram. Thank You for his leadership and his desire to begin with You and end with you. May the altar that we worship at be You and none other. You have the words of eternal life! I pray for families that are lost, may their hearts be softened to Your Holy Will and May they remember the mission that You set them upon. I ask this in the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us!
