"God answered him in the dream: Yes, I know you did it with a pure heart. In fact, it was I who kept you from sinning against me; that is why I did not let you touch her. So now, return the man's wife so that he may intercede for you, since he is a prophet, that you may live. If you do not return her, you can be sure that you and all who are yours will die.
Abraham then interceded with God, and God restored health to Abimelech, to his wife, and his maidservants, so that they bore children;" Genesis 20:6-7, 17

God protects both Abraham and Abimelech, He watches over us when we walk together. "Blessed those who do what is right, whose deeds are always just." Psalms 106:3. Abraham assumed the king was not a godly man and took matters, once again into his own hands. The king was under God's protection and God had sent Abraham to intercede for him. There are times in our lives we need someone to intercede for us. God has blessed them with certain gifts and graces. Do we recognize those that God has sent into our midst to intercede for us? And do we intercede for others that are in need of intercessory prayer? We encounter many people each day, a simple prayer to God your Father maybe just what they need.
What is God saying to me: Patience is a virtue that I teach, it can not be rushed.
Dear Father, we are all in need of prayer, we need Your saving grace to conquer this world. I see many caught in the trap and You reaching out to save them. May they realize that they were there when they crucified Your Son. Free us from the bondage of sin so we may glorify You in our daily life's. Prayers for families caught in the trappings of sin. Thank You Lord for making me wait. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
