"Then God said: Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good. God then separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." Evening came, and morning followed—the first day." Genesis 1:3-5
"The beginning", without the scriptures we would not have a written plan of God's work. In the first chapter of Genesis, you can see the love our Father has as He creates. In separating the light, which is good, from the darkness, God shows us it can be separated. The rest of the Bible speaks of this separation and what happens if we don't, how we can separate it and with the example of the Word(Jesus) it is possible for God's good creation, us. "God looked at everything he had made, and found it very good. Evening came, and morning followed—the sixth day." Genesis 1:31
Over the next 50 days, I will journey thru the book of Genesis one chapter a day and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to me and how it speaks to the present. I encourage you to join along and take the same journey. God reveals His truth in many mysterious ways but we must sit with Him if we are to gain wisdom and understanding.
What is God saying to me: My Word speaks for itself, ask My Holy Spirit to guide You, be open but also discern who's voice is speaking, it is not always Mine.
Dear Father, I am thankful for Your guidance and help, we all live in a busy world that seeks to cloud our minds and intermingle the darkness with the light of truth. You are truth and our leading us thru creation to glorify You and bring us to eternal rest. Watch over us Lord and send Your Holy Spirit to whisper to each of us what Your plan is. I pray for my Protestant friends that we have been separated from, may we all see ways we are united in the light of Christ and not let the darkness interfere. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
