"Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, "Quick, three measures of bran flour! Knead it and make bread."
Abraham spoke up again: "See how I am presuming to speak to my Lord, though I am only dust and ashes! What if there are five less than fifty righteous people? Will you destroy the whole city because of those five?" I will not destroy it, he answered, if I find forty-five there." Genesis 18:6, 27-28
Lessons from this day and this chapter - a generous heart and a concern for others. We are all given gifts from our Heavenly Father, He is the Bread of Life: "this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world."" John 6:50-51 Do we have a generous heart, do we use the gifts God gives us? Abraham gave of his wealth, he gave of the bread of life that was given him. He was concerned for others, he took his plea to God and asked for God to save. We are each given one life, we are given treasures, do we give what has been given us? God gave all so we could live, do we give all? There are those in this world who are blessed, recognize your gifts and give, have concern for others. Be His light, His strength brings a new world waiting to be opened by the Holy Spirit. Live your faith.

What is God saying to me: to whom much is given, much is expected. Do not concern yourself with the outcome, live with joy and witness my peace.
Dear Father, words can not express the joy and generosity that You are showing us. Help us live in the world but not of the world. Open our eyes to those around us that are in need, help us share our joys and treasure with those that we meet. Help us live life without the constraints of being self centered, help us not judge but to love unconditionally. Prayers for a friend that is showing that to all he meets. Bless this day Lord God and may we bring the love of Jesus to all that we meet. In Jesus name, Amen.
