Week 37 - The Journey

Week 37 - The Journey

"This is the one about whom it is written: 'Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way before you.' Amen, I say to you, among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:10-11‬

The Journey to Paradise.  What is God saying to us?  Jesus was born of a woman, is He not greater than John?  God is no respecter of persons and, in my opinion, Jesus views John as an equal to Him.  He is doing what was asked of him, not out of fear or misplaced loyalty but out of love for God.

What about Heaven?  What is God saying to us?  No actions without the right attitude will ever gain Heaven.  We can do all the right things and still not gain Heaven.  "If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing."  ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1-2‬.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  I will trust where God has me, do what is asked out of love and trust that God is the keeper of my soul and not I.

What is God saying to me?  There is more.

Dear Father God, this is not an easy one this morning.  It makes me ponder without really grasping the total content.  Yet I am not worried about the outcome for You are God and nothing is impossible for You.  Prayers for this day and what it has to offer.  Help us use the time given wisely, give us the grace to listen and respond as You would.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 37 - The Journey

Week 37 - The Journey

"You yourselves can testify that I said [that] I am not the Messiah, but that I was sent before him. The one who has the bride is the bridegroom; the best man, who stands and listens to him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. So this joy of mine has been made complete. He must increase; I must decrease."   ‭‭John‬ ‭3:28-30‬

Covenant Relationship.  John the evangelist recalls his first teacher that introduced him to Jesus, the bridegroom.  He witnessed John the Baptist's life as he pursued his calling of preparing others, including himself to receive the Word of God.  John the Baptist took his rightful place and moved into the background.

In covenant relationship, our lives take on purpose and meaning.  He has control of all situations and like John, we give Him, His rightful place in our lives.  Our pride and ego subside for it is He that leads the way.  It is pride and ego that got Lucifer banned in the eternal fire of hell.   It is the lack of pride and ego, the overwhelming sense of joy and peace that brings us into eternal life.

I must decrease and He must increase.  Without Him, I am nothing and will become nothing without Him.  We find Him in daily prayer, in the silence of our hearts.

What is God saying to me?  Even in the daily movements of the day, I whisper to you.  Do you listen.

Dear Father, it has been a fruitful weekend with lots of memories and more to come.  Thank You for the blessings of family and friends.  Thank You for the grace of this day and the joy that brings about peace in all situations.   Watch over us and do not allow the noice of this world interfere in our covenant relationship, especially when I slip up.

Week 37 - The Journey

Week 37 - The Journey

"Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus. He first found his own brother Simon and told him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated Anointed). Then he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon the son of John; you will be called Cephas" (which is translated Peter)."  ‭‭John‬ ‭1:40-42‬

Gaze into the deep.   John the Baptist conveyed the message of God, that created desire as they were waiting on the Anointed One.  His words and his ways spoke of the Divine mystery.  Now He was here and Jesus will transform lives as Son of God.

Andrew had been given the same gift so when he tells his brother Simon, the desire for truth takes over.  Jesus knows this desire within man.  Our mission and purpose is to convey the message of God so Jesus can enter the picture.  It is He who transforms lives, we are just the messenger.

The gaze into the deep is experiencing God, it is seeing the Trinity beyond the words.  The mystery is experienced in daily prayer.  Each day I go, the Gift is  waiting to receive me and when I return, a little part of me has changed.   "and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, "Behold, the Lamb of God.""  ‭‭John‬ ‭1:36‬

What is God saying to me?  I Am God.

Dear Father, thank You for the Divine Mystery and the joy that comes when looking into Your eyes.  There have been many encounters over my lifetime, most of them I did not recognize.  Today, I slow down so I can encounter You in that small whisper.  Prayers for all those who have the desire and are seeking You out in the stillness.  John the Baptist found You there and so can we.  I ask that John the Baptist intercede on our behalf so our own commitment to Jesus will be generous and wholehearted.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 37 - The Journey

Week 37 - The Journey

"The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. He is the one of whom I said, 'A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.' I did not know him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that he might be made known to Israel." John testified further, saying, "I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from the sky and remain upon him. I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, he is the one who will baptize with the holy Spirit.' Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God." The First Disciples."  ‭‭John‬ ‭1:29-34‬

Eucharistic celebration.  "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.  Happy are those who are called to the supper of the lamb."  Words we hear at every Eucharistic celebration.  God in the flesh manifested in the supper of the lamb.

I did not know him is an interesting statement from John the Baptist.  They are second cousins, Mary and Elizabeth are first cousins so John must of known Jesus, the son of Mary.  But as a child when they would get together John knew Jesus but not as the Son of God.  He knew Jesus as man but not as the Son of Man.

On this day he encounters the Risen Lord, the one who entered the womb when Mary entered his mother's house.  That same spirit that entered John that day revealed who Jesus really was.  The stories of Jesus wrapped in swaddling cloth came alive in that moment when Jesus, his cousin, walked towards him.  Here was the One whom his heart had desired, the supper of the lamb.

Which John are we during the Eucharistic celebration, the one who see his cousin or the one who sees the Lamb of God?

What is God saying to me?  A life worthy of giving away is a life worthy of My sacrifice.  There are many spending themselves in faithful service to My word.  There are many where My word has yet to be revealed to them.  Like John, they see with their eyes and not with their heart until that fateful day.

Dear God the Father, I gaze into Your eyes, I see and feel Your presence.  I see Your life being poured out through others faithfully serving You.  I thank You for the gift of faith, the joy of hope and the beauty of everlasting life.  You are the keeper of our souls and I entrust myself to You.  Bring about the change You desire in us Lord, may we see the Lamb of God walking towards us each and every day we walk this side of Heaven.  Prayers for a friend in the hospital with pneumonia, heal their body and bring them home.  Thank You Father for the blessings of a faithful women living out her calling.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 37 - The Journey Baptism of Jesus

Week 37 - The Journey

The Baptism of Jesus. "Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. John tried to prevent him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and yet you are coming to me?" Jesus said to him in reply, "Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed him. After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water and behold, the heavens were opened [for him], and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove [and] coming upon him. And a voice came from the heavens, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭3:13-17‬

Us. It was this one little word that grabbed my attention, Jesus's response back to John when he did not feel worthy.  Us could be the Trinity but as I stood there and received God's word, it was the burning bush that spoke.

Can God save us without our full participation?  John has fulfilled his mission and now Jesus and he were switching places.  Jesus in complete public view receives our sin, He came before God the Father and pays the price for our redemption.  John, fully participates in his own salvation.

Us, is our full acceptance of what God is asking, being willing to trade places with Jesus.  Allowing Him to pay our price and in return we walking in Christ, through Christ and with Christ.  Will we step out in faith as Jesus did?  To fulfill all righteousness?  John did and gives Jesus his rightful place within.

What is God saying to me?  I speak from the burning bush, My words resound truth and even though it is two letters, it has meaning and purpose for all humanity.

Dear Father, we have lived this day, we have done our best, never perfect but being perfected.  Thank You Father for those two letters, for the revelation of being able to hear Jesus speak into my soul.  I must decrease and You must increase, give us the strength Your Son has, to live as You desire.  Prayers for a friend who's spouse is in the hospital with pneumonia.  You are faithful God in all things, heal their body so they continue building Your kingdom together.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 36 - The Journey

Week 36 - The Journey

""Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has visited and brought redemption to his people. He has raised up a horn for our salvation within the house of David his servant, even as he promised through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old: salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, to show mercy to our fathers and to be mindful of his holy covenant and of the oath he swore to Abraham our father, and to grant us that, rescued from the hand of enemies, without fear we might worship him in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. And you, child, will be called prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give his people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God by which the daybreak from on high will visit us to shine on those who sit in darkness and death's shadow, to guide our feet into the path of peace.""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:68-79‬

Silence.  There is something sacred about silence.   Zechariah had nine months and eight days to sit in silence, not hearing his own words, only the world around him.  Have you tried to sit in silence, no distractions, no words spoken, no noise other than the sacredness of life speaking.

Prayer isn't always spoken, it is more profound when we sit within the silence of ourselves.  We give ourselves over to God and let Him make the calls.  He chooses what we hear, He chooses what we listen too.  Zechariah went through a transformation in the silence, He developed a richness of what God was doing.

His devotion became filled with life, the words he heard came alive.  He had time to think and not have to worry about how to respond.  His actions were no longer going thru the motions, He sees God at work in his own life.  To sit still in silence isn't an easy practice but it will develop a richness that burst forth when the time is right.  Happy Tuesday.

What is God saying to me?  Give it time, I Am at work.

Dear Father, silent prayer is the best, the sounds are rich, there is no pressure to respond other than just being.  Thank You for these moments of silence, for the peace that it develops within.  Prayers for a friend going thru a difficult time, allow him to see Your hand at work.  Bless this day Father, keep us safe, Amen.

Week 36 - The Journey

Week 36 - The Journey

"When the time arrived for Elizabeth to have her child she gave birth to a son. Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown his great mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her. When they came on the eighth day to circumcise the child, they were going to call him Zechariah after his father, but his mother said in reply, "No. He will be called John." He asked for a tablet and wrote, "John is his name," and all were amazed. Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:57-60, 63-64‬

God's faithfulness.  I sit and watch a couple faithfully serve God, following the tradition of our faith.  In their own lives, they yearn for a child and non have come.  Yet they continue faithfully serving God.  Their lives were the seed for the life that John the Baptist would face, a life of hardships.  The lessons they learned would be passed on to him.

It is easy to take a bite of the apple, believe the lie and walk away from God's faithfulness.  It takes strong wills and minds to stay the course when life has dealt you unfairness.  Especially when God has the power and you doubt if He hears.

Tradition matters, being faithful matters, it plays a huge role in the next generation.  Zechariah's name means "Yahweh remembers" and He does.  John's name means "God has mercy."  No matter where you are at in the journey, God is there with you.  "but, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct, for it is written, "Be holy because I [am] holy." ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:15-16‬

What is God saying to me?  Listen

Dear Father, the deck seems stacked against us sometimes but You are always faithful.  Things don't always seem to make sense but You are always faithful.  I thank You for the blessings of this day and this time.  Continue fortifying the walls of our hearts to withstand the challenges that come our way.  Help us to be ever faithful to You with the knowledge that these are the seeds for the next generation.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ.

Week 36 - The Journey

Week 36 - The Journey

"When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." The Canticle of Mary."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:41-42, 44-45‬

The Divine Presence.  Jesus enters the home of Elizabeth and John announces His arrival.   His perception as an unborn child acknowledges the King of Glory.  Elizabeth as well greets the unborn King in the Spirit of God.

Her words are filled with His, she has been pondering the mystery of God and is overwhelmed with joy.  The purity of this scene helps each of us on our own journey.  Do we recognize the Divine Mystery?  Do we ponder the mystery of God.

Mary, carries Jesus into the home and they are introduced.  What events in our own lives must happen before we slow down to ponder the Divine Mystery.  Does our hearts skip a beat when we enter the mystery, knowing we will encounter God in the stillness of the moment.  Perceive what God is saying to you and believe as Mary, John the Baptist and Elizabeth do.

What is God saying to you?  A life without sin receives the full reality of My mystery in the moment of time.

Dear Lord God, to sit and ponder this moment in time and see Your Divine Presence is a mystery.   It is something that can be grasped and experienced.  You see our circumstances and bring about the transformation that is necessary for our own salvation.   Thank You Father of the ever so minute reminders of Your presence in this day.  Awaken our senses to Your Divinity.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Week 36 - The Journey

Week 36 - The Journey

"But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the sight of [the] Lord. He will drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the holy Spirit even from his mother's womb, and he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of fathers toward children and the disobedient to the understanding of the righteous, to prepare a people fit for the Lord.""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:13-17‬

Preparation.  Zechariah had plenty of time to ponder these words, it was the last ones he heard before he could not speak.  The joy he must of felt knowing their prayers were heard and are answered in the affirmative.   Not only would they have a son but he would be great in the sight of the Lord.

John the Baptist was the forerunner to Christ, the one to get the people ready for Jesus.  It was the Holy Spirit working thru a willing heart that had been prepared for his mission in life.  God directed his steps and he followed with an openness to God.

Each of us has a mission, has a purpose, our prayers are heard as well.  Not to satisfy our own needs but to bring about the will of God.  Zechariah pondered these words for nine months and examined his own way along with his priestly calling.  Was his prayer self serving or God serving.  In the quiet of your heart God speaks and responds.

What is God saying to me?

Dear Father, my prayers are being heard and I am been giving time to ponder.  In the stillness of the day we sit together, me trying to figure it out and You gazing upon me with joy, for we are together.   Watch over this day and turn our hearts towards You and Your will, Your perfect will that brings about joy and peace.  Prayers for those wandering in the wilderness, unaware of its trappings.  Thank You for the gift of this day.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 36 - The Journey

 Week 36 - The Journey

"In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:5-7‬

Letter of the law vs spirit of the law   A time for silence, how does silence impact our lives?  Are we afraid of silence, or do we cherish silence?  Do we make time for silence.

Zacharias, was given a time to ponder only his thoughts, his voice would not be heard.  His walk may have become laborious, righteous and blameless but lacked something.  He may have been disconnected to the presence of God in his life.  These times God gives us to ponder and reflect may seem like difficult crosses to bear but in reality they are gifts with hidden treasures.  It is an opportunity to touch the Divine nature of God and be transformed.

The boy, growing in Elizabeth's womb did not hear his fathers voice until the day of his circumcision.  John was being knit in his mother's womb with only his mother's voice and the absence of Zechariah's.   How would this period of silence impact the child in the future.

We can do all the right things, follow all the commandments to a T and yet still not know the Divinity of Christ.  Time in silence and listening reveals hidden mysteries that you can only experience on your own with God.

What is God saying to me?  You have tasted the Joy of life, this can not be taken away unless you let it.

Dear Father, what a blessing to walk with You and see what You are doing.  I see the love You have for us and how You are bringing all things together.  Give us the heart to listen in the quiet of silence and reveal who You are in us.  Prayers for a blessed and safe day, prayers for all the crosses being carried this day without Jesus.  I ask this in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Week 36 - The Journey

Week 36 - The Journey

"A voice proclaims: In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord! Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God! Every valley shall be lifted up, every mountain and hill made low; The rugged land shall be a plain, the rough country, a broad valley. Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:3-5‬

The Love of God.  It is not I but Christ who speaks through me.   What was it about John the Baptist that made him different in the wasteland of his day?  I see a man that lived with the love of God all his life.  He lived an authentic relationship with God, God wasn't some abstract concept or passing thought.  For John and all those who have come to know the living God, it is a real relationship, one where the love of God is revealed in our innermost being.

The wasteland is no different today than it was back then.  Within each of us is that desire to know, love and serve God.  This is where peace resides, yet without time spent in His presence, the outer coat is a wasteland.  With time spent in His presence daily, there is a difference.  The voice isn't yelling, the voice is the difference, how you live and react to situations is the voice.  Live in the presence of God, prepare the way, He is coming back and He is preparing His people.

"if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:14‬

What is God saying to me?  The Son shines on the inside.

Dear Father God, the depth of Your love is immense, the places we go and the truth that is revealed is joyful.  Help us see the reality of this day, help us live in this very moment of time and know that You are Holy God, preparing each of us for our triumphant reunion with You.  Thank You Father for the blessings of Mary in my life, for the growth this past week and the fruit that it will bear in the coming months.  Use me today Lord as You need, keep us safe and awaken us to the wasteland around us.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 35 - The Journey

Week 35 - The Journey

"When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home."  ‭‭John‬ ‭19:26-27‬

The fulfillment of salvation.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God."  John‬ ‭1:1-2‬.  Jesus gives us His greatest treasure other than Himself, His mother.  It all started in the Garden of Eden and now His hour has come, the price for original sin has been paid.

How do we feel about Mary?  Does she play a role in our salvation?  Remember it was the woman who listened to the serpent and began the journey.  Now she has been given the role as our mother.  Adam named the woman twice, "this one shall be called woman" Genesis 2:23 and "The man gave his wife the name "Eve," because she was the mother of all the living."  ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:20‬

Jesus calls her by her first name, woman, her nature never changed she was exactly as God created her in the Garden.   Watch how the world treats Mary that will tell you who she is.  Our own discipleship needs Mary within it, the Son of Man was raised by Mary.   He knew what she as His mother did for Him.  She plays a hidden role in the life of Jesus and now Jesus gives us this gift of Mary.   Behold, your mother." And from that hour the DISCIPLE took her into his home.

What is God saying to me?  She is the Queen Mother of all those living in Christ.  She like Jesus, plays a role in your salvation, only she points to My Son and watches as My children grow.

Dear Father, Your Holy Family is a family and we, those who believe, see the truth.  Help us see the beauty of our mother Mary in our own discipleship.  Help us accept her guidance and her graces that draws us in deeper to Your covenant family.  Prayers for souls guided by the serpent, prayers for Mother Mary to intercede on our behalf.  Bless this day Father and use me as You will, Amen.

Week 35 - The Journey

Week 35 - The Journey

"When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." [And] Jesus said to her, "Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you." Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now." Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him."  ‭‭John‬ ‭2:3-11‬

Covenant Relationship.  "Woman, how does your concern effect me?  I have pondered what seems like an disrespectful name to call Mary. (I was thinking as man).  But as I continued my pondering I realized Jesus(Adam) is in perfect covenant relationship with the "woman" called Mary.  What a more perfect way to demonstrate this relationship than at the wedding ceremony where two become one.

"the man said: "This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called 'woman,' for out of man this one has been taken.""  ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:23‬.  Mary and Jesus are one with God, their thoughts are His thoughts.  Jesus was not being disrespectful but in fact giving God's perfect creation respect, knowing God's will, he does what she asks.

Jesus speaks plainly but with the words, and the scene there is a beauty that goes beyond what is being said.  Don't look with the mind of man, put on the mind of God and see what He is really saying.  It is in our covenant relationship that He will reveal Himself to us, it is here where He will reveal truth, something the mind of man can not grasp unless God gives you the vision to see with the heart.   "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways—oracle of the Lord."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:8‬

What is God saying to you? Listen with the heart and not with the mind of man.

Dear Father, thank You for the blessing of the Woman called Mary, Your spotless creation to bring about our salvation thru her son, Jesus.  Her heart is Your heart, and in these moments when we gaze into time, You reveal truth that defines who we are and where we are going.  Prayers Father for those in the world and of the world, may the light of Christ penetrate the hardness of man's heart and let truth be revealed in the beauty of life.  Bless this day Father, use me as You will and guide this day to its perfect end.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 35 - The Journey

Week 35 - The Journey

"When they had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him." Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt. He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophet might be fulfilled, "Out of Egypt I called my son."  Matthew‬ ‭2:13-15‬

Fatherhood.  I sit in awe of the role of a father, he is given the gift of life and death.  Within his hands, it is he who leads the family and his example is followed by his family.  Joesph responds to God's voice, he listens and follows the will of God.  In this way God is the protector of the Holy family, thru the father.

The family is still under attack these days, fathers are still the protectors but outside influences can deter them off the path.  If Adam had been obedient to the will of God, we would know better but the battle continues for the soul of man.   Moses saved his people by listening to God and doing exactly as He says.  It was the blood from the Passover meal that saved all the firstborn of the Israelites.

Pharaoh listened to the same pagan god as Herod and innocent lives must suffer because of it.  These same innocent lives suffer today because the father doesn't take his role serious.  He, like pharaoh, ignores the voice of God and children are raised in a godless society.   Be one of the firstborn "So you will say to Pharaoh, Thus says the Lord: Israel is my son, my firstborn. I said to you: Let my son go, that he may serve me."  ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭4:22-23‬a

God speaks, we listen and respond, be the spiritual leader of your household.

What is God saying to me?  I hear your plea and so does Mary, she will intercede.

Dear Father, the choices we make each day have eternal consequences for ourselves and those You have given to us.  I see the battle at play, I see the innocent victims unaware of the nature of sin.  Protect us Father by giving us an ear to hear Your voice, bring Your children up out of Egypt and into the promised land.  Prayers for families today to be led by You through the faithful example of holy parents, obedient to Your voice.  I ask this in Your firstborns name, Jesus, Amen.

Week 35 - The Journey

Week 35 - The Journey

"They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2:10-12‬

The source of all wisdom.  Would you not seek out the source of all wisdom?  The wise men had been told about this child by the Prophet Daniel.  "As the visions during the night continued, I saw coming with the clouds of heaven One like a son of man. When he reached the Ancient of Days and was presented before him, He received dominion, splendor, and kingship; all nations, peoples and tongues will serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, his kingship, one that shall not be destroyed."  ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭7:13-14‬.  Wisdom is from above and we are given the opportunity to gain this wisdom, the same wisdom that Daniel and the three wise men sought.

God had already prepared the way for you, it is our trust and faith that is the evidence of our belief.  The wise men went on a journey to find this son of man, they found Him.  What was their personal motivation to get them started seeking the child Jesus.  Faith and trust.  What was Mary's and Joesph's motivation?  Faith and trust.  The source of all wisdom is available to us in the exact same way it was available to those in the Bible.  Quiet contemplation, prayer and faith/trust put into action.  "And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart."  Luke‬ ‭2:19‬

What is God saying to me?  One step at a time, live in the presence, the wise men did not know yet they did.

Dear Father, it is a mystery our lives.  You are all knowing and all powerful leading us into deeper relationship with You.  Help us see the opportunities that are presented to gain wisdom and knowledge of You.  Thank You Father for preparing us for what tomorrow has to bring, may we always live in the present moment.  Thank You for the gift of Your Son, He is the only gold that I desire, the One that satisfies.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 35 - The Journey

Week 35 - The Journey

"When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, just as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord," and to offer the sacrifice of "a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons," in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord. and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, "Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted (and you yourself a sword will pierce) so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:22-24, 34-35‬

Our Mother's love.  The Son of God being freely given as a offering for our sins.  A first born son could be offered into service to God or redeemed for a price.  Did Mary and Joesph know Jesus was the Lamb of God, the spotless offering, the redemption price for our sins.  Did they know that this was His purpose in life when they went to the temple that day.

I can't answer that with a resounding yes but Mary, our mother, participated in this offering.  She knew Mosaic law and practiced it, she knew a price was to be paid.  Did she know, as Mother of God, that this offering was for us?  In a spiritual sense, I believe she did.  God has given her tremendous insight, sin is not part of her nature yet she understood what God intended for her Son.

Some don't give Mary much thought but she lived her life for God, her yes is our yes.  The presentation in the temple that day was Our Mother making our sin offering.

What is God saying to me?  Mary participated fully.

Dear Father, I am getting an insight into our mother and who she is.  We treat her like a 14 year old without much knowledge yet Your glory lived physically within her body, the tender compassion she showed You, she shows us.  A mother's love can not be denied even when the child has wandered off, she is fully invested in our salvation.  Thank You Father for unwrapping scripture and revealing truth beyond the words.  Watch over us this day, keep us under the protective gaze of our Mother, I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 35 - The Journey

Week 35 - The Journey

"The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:10-12‬

Preparing the feast.  It was Mary, the Mother of God who wrapped Jesus in the swaddling cloth indicating her commitment to what God asked of her, her total and undeniably commitment.  Do we recognize the subtleness of God in our own lives?  Are we willing to be as committed as Mary, forsaking all for the will of God.

The shepherds in the field selected the perfect spotless lambs for the temple worship.  The lambs that would be sacrificed and offered up to God.  They recognized the coming Messiah and His meaning being wrapped in swaddling cloth, the perfect sacrifice.   Was Mary aware of the significance of the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in, was she aware of what this would identify with others in the future.  What about the town of Bethlehem which means house of Bread where Jesus was born.

God is preparing the feast, He is guiding those who listen to be able to see and comprehend what is going on and what is coming.   We all want great big glaring signs that point the way but God gives us the ability to think for ourselves and to be engaged with our senses.  He prepares the feast that satisfies.  "The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:53‬.  May we always remain humble.

What is God saying to me?  I am still preparing hearts to receive that which satisfies.

Dear Lord God, I see the Mother of Your Son witnessing to the Truth, doing what was asked of her and proclaiming the good news without uttering a word.  Our Mother knows best and in that love she shares with Jesus she gives to us.  Awaken our senses to the reality of Your subtle nature, may we ponder in our hearts the meaning of these things.  Prayers for changed hearts that give without price and live without being controlled by fear.   I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 34 - The Journey

Week 34 - The Journey

"While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.""  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:6-7, 10-12‬

No room for Him.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b.  There was a time in my life that I was that Inn Keeper, God was not even a thought in my head, I was too busy to spend time concerned about some silly Christmas story, my story.  Today, I am still that same Inn Keeper but the house is full of God and His Holy family.

Unexpected gifts when we say yes to God, it is a journey that evolves.  Are you struggling - God is knocking.  Are you getting in trouble - God is knocking.  Are you angry - God is knocking.  Are you lost and don't know where to turn - God is knocking.   Are you just fine, nothing crazy going on and God is no where to be found - God will soon be knocking invite Him in before all the ups and downs of life change your world.

Nothing hurts God's heart more than being turned away when He has the best gift to give you.  We have all heard the Christmas story from the time we were little but have we lived the greatest gift there ever is?  Maybe you have, now think about all those you encounter that have yet to open that door to let Him in.  Think of all the situations that you are aware of and God is the answer.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life."  ‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬.  This is only the beginning it means nothing if our belief isn't followed up with action, like reading His word, praying daily, listening for God, recognizing God in your midst, living out the Gospels daily.   "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,"  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19‬

Make Christmas be real every day you walk this earth, it is an unbelievable journey when God is on the inside.

What is God saying to me?

Dear Father, I thank You for this day and all it has to offer, I thank You for the gift of this day.  You and I enter it knowing that nothing will come our way that we can not handle.  I thank You for the gift of Your only begotten Son, Your firstborn child.  "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation."  ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:15‬.  I thank You for the gift of Christmas and for being another one of Your sons following as best as I can, falling regularly but always getting back up.  Prayers for the Inn Keepers who reject You not knowing what awaits when they say "yes".  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 34 - The Journey

Week 34 - The Journey

"Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her."  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:18-20‬

Called for a purpose.  How do we feel when God calls us for a purpose?   Joesph, a righteous man, feels unworthy.  He can't serve God in the capacity of being a father of the Son of God.  "Why me?", could of been some of the thoughts going through his head.  Did Mary tell him that she was to have the Son of God or did she leave that fact out when she said she was pregnant.  I am sure Joesph already felt unworthy to marry Mary before she became pregnant.  "He shouted, "Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!"" ‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:38‬

Now the angel of God appears in a dream and the reality of what was being asked of him hit home.  His years of studying the word of God, he was awaiting the coming of the Lord, he knew his scripture.  "For a child is born to us, a son is given to us; upon his shoulder dominion rests. They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace. His dominion is vast and forever peaceful, Upon David's throne, and over his kingdom, which he confirms and sustains By judgment and justice, both now and forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this!"  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:5-6‬

Mary was not from the throne of David, he was.  It was God calling him to fulfill his purpose in history and he being righteous knew what must be done.  God calls each of us for a purpose and it is "I" that must answer.  We are all sinners, we are all unworthy but that should not stop us.   Didn't stop Mary, she was worthy, didn't stop Joesph, shouldn't stop us.  Be part of history and bring Jesus into it as Mary and Joesph did.  Have a blessed day living out the calling God has for you.

What is God saying to me?  In due time.

Dear Father, walk with us this day and give us the words that are needed.  Bring peace into all the situations that cause us turmoil in our lives.  Help us see that we are sons and daughters of You, the Creator of the universe.  Prayers for a friend in a battle, fill him with Your Holy Spirit and bring him the joy that he needs.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 33 - The Journey The Feast of the Baptism of Jesus

Week 33 - The Journey The Feast of the Baptism of Jesus.

"And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him. He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart. He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly. The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy, according to his promise to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:46-55‬

The Journey.  The clarity and purity of mind of a child/young adult something that we lose as we become adults.  Cluttered by the ways of the world but can be regained with a life filled with purpose.   The Journey of 85 miles begins with a single step.  Mary travels to her Aunts home, who is late in age with child.   Mary's parents were late in age when Mary was conceived, the Woman who would usher in the New Covenant.

As Mary journeyed this trek her thoughts must of been upon God and the life that was within.  Do we ponder the mystery that lies within, prayer isn't always still but in the silence as we go about our day, we can listen to God.  "From now on all ages will call me blessed."

It wasn't pride that Mary spoke of, it wasn't pointing to her self but to the will of God.  "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; They will strike at your head, while you strike at their heel."  ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:15‬.  In the silence of the journey she pondered the words of God, the life that He had given her and the Son of God growing within.  She was the woman whom her Father spoke about, she along with her offspring, Jesus, and includes those that walk with Mary, that would conquer the one who denied the Glory of God and sought to claim it for himself.

What is God saying to me? "In the beginning was the word", the mystery lies beyond the words, listen intently and hear what is being said.

Dear Father God, I see the Woman walking and pondering the mysteries of Heaven, contemplating the journey with the knowledge of You that has not been corrupted with the pollution of the world.  Your beauty comes in many different languages all given by You.  May we not become deceived by the manipulation of words that without clarity will confuse.  Bless this day, help us to be king and ruler of our internal nature guided by You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 34 - The Journey

Week 34 - The Journey

"When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:41-45‬

The House of God.  Touching the mystery of God, the physical presence of Jehovah God.  Moses seen the physical presence of God in the burning bush that did not burn, Elizabeth sees and recognizes immediately the physical presence of God, the burning bush that did not burn.  God in the flesh, bone of Mary's bones, flesh of Mary's flesh.

How do we behave in the physical presence of God?  Are we like Elizabeth, paying homage and placing ourselves at His feet or is it a complacent, common occurrence type of attitude.  God is in flesh, body soul and divinity in the physical midst of humanity.  Moses was transformed by God, Elizabeth was transformed by God, am I transformed by God?   The mystery of God.

"Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."  Mary believed the words of God, Elizabeth believed the words of God.  I believe the words of God and I pray my actions always live up to my belief.   "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me."  ‭‭John‬ ‭6:56-57‬.  Do you believe in God's words spoken in the flesh fulfilled in the Holy Eucharist?

What is God saying to me?  I have spoken from the burning bush.

Dear Father God, bless this day and all it has to offer.  The time of fulfillment is at hand and You are separating the wheat from the shaft,  preparing for what lies ahead.  I thank You for the fire that burns inside.  Blessings for a family entering a life of holy commitment, may they be filled with Your Holy Spirit.  Give us hearts that worship and honor You, always in our presence in all circumstances.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 34 - The Journey

Week 34 - The Journey

"Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her. Mary Visits Elizabeth."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:38‬

The mystery of God, can we touch it?  Yes and whether you know it or not you probably already have without knowing it.  Mary, the holy of Holies as the ark that carries Jesus into the world touched the mystery from a very very young age.  She understood that her life revolved around God much like the earth and the sun, He was the center of her life from the beginning.

The farther that we move away from the center of our universe the colder it gets and our hearts were made for Him.  Those moments of despair and tremendous pain because of choices that didn't involve God is part of the mystery.   You touched the mystery and didn't even know it.   We don't associate pain with God but in reality it is the pain that draws us back to Him, back into the center and into right relationship.

Mary's relationship was right from the beginning because she knew life is in the word of God and death is outside the word of God.  Be it done unto me according to thy word.  Read His word and see what happens when the Israelites walk away from truth.  Our own lives will be done according to His word, Mary once again points to truth from a very ripe old age of 13-14.  Have a blessed day living with the Son at the center.

What is God saying to me?  Nothing happens by chance there is purpose in everything even in the pain.

Dear Father, there is peace with You at the center even though things are moving quickly.  I thank You for those periods of my life that I didn't understand why which prepared me for a greater future with You.  Like Mary, may it be done to me according to thy word.  Prayers for a family experiencing the loss of a child, and give strength to this family.   Bless this day Father, give us the words when needed at the proper time.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 34 - The Journey

Week 34 - The Journey

"Then he said: Listen, house of David! Is it not enough that you weary human beings? Must you also weary my God? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign; the young woman, pregnant and about to bear a son, shall name him Emmanuel."  Isaiah‬ ‭7:13-14‬

Relationship with God and for God.  We have just finished celebrating the birthday of Jesus, the Emmanuel.  A prophecy given to Isaiah to proclaim to the world that has come to be a reality.  How did Isaiah get it so accurate?

Can we touch divinity this side of Heaven?  Yes.  Isaiah is living proof of our ability to have the heart of God.  We can know about God and, we can know God, for in that moment God gives you the reality of His Natures outside of time.  Before any of these events happened, God knew what was coming.  This was the insight He gave Isaiah.

We can deny the existence of God which would be true for the one saying it but it is not truth.  They just haven't experienced that overwhelming joy that comes when you sit at His feet and listen.  "Listen, house of David", You can touch Divinity and come away different, not changed by the world but to change the world.

What is God saying to me?  This is Heaven.

Dear Father, we are embarking upon a new chapter, I not really knowing the way and You already being there.  Give us Your heart in these quiet moments, give us the peace that comes when we listen to You.   Prayers for lost souls who can not see Your reality in their lives as they move quickly without seeking Your input.  Bless this day Lord, keep us out of the fray and may we be a blessing in Your House.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Week 34 - The Journey

Week 34 - The Journey

"I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; They will strike at your head, while you strike at their heel."  ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:15‬

The father of lies continues the battle that began in Heaven.  Lucifer and God are polar opposites, God filled with Love, Lucifer filled with evil yet in the verse above God establishes dominion over the evil one and gives us His Son.

Jesus doesn't call Mary by her name, like His Father, He calls her woman.  "When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son.""  ‭‭John‬ ‭19:26‬.  He refers to the Woman in Genesis 3:15, not the fallen Eve but the one who gave Him flesh on His bones.  He does call her mother.  "Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home."  ‭‭John‬ ‭19:27‬

All of this occurring at the foot of the cross where Jesus conquered sin that entered the world thru the lies of the evil one.  Mary is our Mother in Heaven and our relationship with her and who she is, is a tell in our own relationship with God.  Have we bought the lies of the same world that Adam and Eve lived in or have we come to know the Living God who died on the cross and conquered sin.  Who invited us in Genesis 3:15 to be sons and daughters of the Woman and join the fight on the winning side.

God Bless and have a day filled with the love of God in your heart.

What is God saying to me?

Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for giving us "the Woman", the one undefiled by sin that brought Your Son into the world in a temple not made by human hands, a pure and undefiled model of what Heaven looks like.  Thank You Father for the hope that is on the inside and the knowledge of the fight that continues with the evil one who spews insults and lies against the Woman who lived a holy and pure life.  Bless this day Father, bless the offspring of Mary and awaken us to the realities of lies that deceives the Truth of Your loving kindness.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 33 - The Journey Advent

Week 33 - The Journey Advent.

"He asked them, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." And when they had found out they said, "Five loaves and two fish." So he gave orders to have them sit down in groups on the green grass."  Mark‬ ‭6:38-39‬

The authority of God.  Do we hear the voice of God in our lives and do we honor Him by obeying what God asks of us?  "He began to teach them many things."  Mark 6:34b.  A disciple hears God speak and He follows the guidance of God. "Go and see".  Jesus as Son of God knew there was loaves amongst the crowd but He needed to teach His Disciples.

Sitting in the crowd of people you can see these events play out.  You see Jesus in charge of the situation never skipping a beat and also using every opportunity to teach.  God draws those that are ready to Him, He watches each of us in our own journeys and begins the process of teaching us the things that we need to know to become ardent disciples.

Heaven isn't a place you just stroll into, you will, but the process of being purified takes much learning.  There are many that will say that they are washed by the blood of the Lamb and then, with intent, repeat the same sin again.  If God is teaching and we are obeying these areas of our lives will be purified by the blood of the Lamb not to be repeated.

We are the blessings He brings to our Father in Heaven. "Then, taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to [his] disciples to set before the people; he also divided the two fish among them all."  ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:41‬

What is God saying to me?  You have much to learn but you are listening.

Dear Father God, thank You for the blessing of this day, to be taught by You with every situation that comes up.  You know exactly what I need and I trust You in all situations.  I thank You for the lessons You are teaching others, to face our anxieties and overcome the falsehood of fears that seek to drown out Your voice.  Father, You are the Great Teacher, I am but a humble student seeking to follow You Home.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Week 33 - The Journey Advent The Holy Name of Jesus

Week 33 - The Journey Advent The Holy Name of Jesus

"You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They belong to the world; accordingly, their teaching belongs to the world, and the world listens to them. We belong to God, and anyone who knows God listens to us, while anyone who does not belong to God refuses to hear us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit. God's Love and Christian Life."    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:4-6‬

It is a journey!  Today is the feast of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, it is a blessing to know His name and recognize the One who lives on the inside.  "She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.""  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬

We live in an instant world and are taught that it is at the ready, right at our fingertips yet we study for our careers, we study and learn to parent.  We study our finances and invest for the future but when it comes to God we do not give Him time in our lives maybe an hour or two at Church.  We expect God to do the rest, to work miracles in our lives.

Jesus spent three years with His disciples then He left and gives us His Holy Spirit.  It is He within, when we listen and respond, will help us respond to do His will.  Do not expect miracles, do not expect overnight results but with daily devotion, you will come to know Him, you will come to know our Holy Family.  The choice is ours to decide that which we give the most importance to, the things of this world or our eternal future.

What is God saying to me?

Dear Father, happy feast day!  You gave us Your Son and You knew He would die for our sins, You show us Your love in action, You give us Hope over the ways of this world.  Teach us Your ways that we may walk in the truth of Your Son, Jesus.  Father, thank You for giving us the Mother of Your Son, the Holy Temple that carried Him into history.  Give us Your love that we may reside with You forever.  I ask this in the Most Holy Name of Jesus, Amen.

Week 33 - The Journey Advent Epiphany of the Good News

Week 33 - The Journey Advent Epiphany of the Good News.

"Arise! Shine, for your light has come, the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you. Though darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds, the peoples, Upon you the Lord will dawn, and over you his glory will be seen."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:1-2‬

Responding to God's call.  It is a choice we each must make and upon making the choice to respond the glory of the Lord will dawn in your heart.  The Magi responded, the Shepherds responded, Joesph responded, Mary responded and for that their lives were transformed.

This is available to each of us and all we have to do is respond to God's voice, walk in faith and go.  What drew the Magi to Bethlehem?  What made them go?  God's voice drew them and their own free will allowed them to go.

As you enter the manger scene and look upon the Holy family, see what they seen, the glory of the Lord.  Be transformed by God's word and live the life of Hope, of victory over sin.  As the Magi left and did not respond to the evil of the world, they had become transformed.  "Then you shall see and be radiant, your heart shall throb and overflow. For the riches of the sea shall be poured out before you, the wealth of nations shall come to you."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:5‬

Happy New Year, He is calling and it is your own choice to respond.

What is God saying to me?  You responded even though it meant a little hardship, this did not go unnoticed.  Only those who respond will understand.

Dear Father, it is cold outside but my heart is full, over flowing with gratitude.  I thank You Lord for walking with me this morning, for revealing Your word in the recesses of my imagination.  Bless this day Father, thank You for giving us Your Holy Family who operate in union.  Awaken us to the reality of our choices and draw us closer to Your everlasting Love.  In Jesus name, Amen.
