"When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." [And] Jesus said to her, "Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you." Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from (although the servers who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now." Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him." John 2:3-11
Covenant Relationship. "Woman, how does your concern effect me? I have pondered what seems like an disrespectful name to call Mary. (I was thinking as man). But as I continued my pondering I realized Jesus(Adam) is in perfect covenant relationship with the "woman" called Mary. What a more perfect way to demonstrate this relationship than at the wedding ceremony where two become one.
Week 35 - The Journey

"the man said: "This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called 'woman,' for out of man this one has been taken."" Genesis 2:23. Mary and Jesus are one with God, their thoughts are His thoughts. Jesus was not being disrespectful but in fact giving God's perfect creation respect, knowing God's will, he does what she asks.
Jesus speaks plainly but with the words, and the scene there is a beauty that goes beyond what is being said. Don't look with the mind of man, put on the mind of God and see what He is really saying. It is in our covenant relationship that He will reveal Himself to us, it is here where He will reveal truth, something the mind of man can not grasp unless God gives you the vision to see with the heart. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways—oracle of the Lord." Isaiah 55:8
What is God saying to you? Listen with the heart and not with the mind of man.
Dear Father, thank You for the blessing of the Woman called Mary, Your spotless creation to bring about our salvation thru her son, Jesus. Her heart is Your heart, and in these moments when we gaze into time, You reveal truth that defines who we are and where we are going. Prayers Father for those in the world and of the world, may the light of Christ penetrate the hardness of man's heart and let truth be revealed in the beauty of life. Bless this day Father, use me as You will and guide this day to its perfect end. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
