Week 33 - The Journey The Feast of the Baptism of Jesus

Week 33 - The Journey The Feast of the Baptism of Jesus.

"And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him. He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart. He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly. The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy, according to his promise to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:46-55‬

The Journey.  The clarity and purity of mind of a child/young adult something that we lose as we become adults.  Cluttered by the ways of the world but can be regained with a life filled with purpose.   The Journey of 85 miles begins with a single step.  Mary travels to her Aunts home, who is late in age with child.   Mary's parents were late in age when Mary was conceived, the Woman who would usher in the New Covenant.

As Mary journeyed this trek her thoughts must of been upon God and the life that was within.  Do we ponder the mystery that lies within, prayer isn't always still but in the silence as we go about our day, we can listen to God.  "From now on all ages will call me blessed."

It wasn't pride that Mary spoke of, it wasn't pointing to her self but to the will of God.  "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; They will strike at your head, while you strike at their heel."  ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:15‬.  In the silence of the journey she pondered the words of God, the life that He had given her and the Son of God growing within.  She was the woman whom her Father spoke about, she along with her offspring, Jesus, and includes those that walk with Mary, that would conquer the one who denied the Glory of God and sought to claim it for himself.

What is God saying to me? "In the beginning was the word", the mystery lies beyond the words, listen intently and hear what is being said.

Dear Father God, I see the Woman walking and pondering the mysteries of Heaven, contemplating the journey with the knowledge of You that has not been corrupted with the pollution of the world.  Your beauty comes in many different languages all given by You.  May we not become deceived by the manipulation of words that without clarity will confuse.  Bless this day, help us to be king and ruler of our internal nature guided by You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Angels, Pray for us.
