Daily Thoughts - The Beginning.
""I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city. At the feet of Gamaliel I was educated strictly in our ancestral law and was zealous for God, just as all of you are today. I persecuted this Way to death, binding both men and women and delivering them to prison." Acts 22:3-4
Paul goes back to the beginning to tell his story, to speak to the error of his ways and to proclaim the saving power of God. At this stage in life he has vision, vision of the past with knowledge and understanding and vision of the future through the perfect will of God.
"It is My will that I seek in you, be at peace and give Me praise." These words come back from a prayer a wrote a couple of years ago as I sit in prayer this morning watching Paul live out his faith. God's timing is always perfect, His will is what is best for us and He loves us beyond measure. The hardships are part of the journey in learning to trust in His perfect will.
Paul has hindsight in his story, he has/is being perfected by the Fathers perfect will. In prayer, along with quiet contemplation, God speaks into our hearts and we understand what must be done in this moment. Each builds upon another and His will is revealed. Be blessed by His Holy Spirit, He heard and He answered.
Dear Father, what a blessing to sit at Your feet daily and witness Your healing touch. Within Your perfect will is peace for we are truly within the covenant relationship and it is not a one sided commitment. Thank You Father for the continued growth and opportunities to share Your glory within our day. Give us vision into Your perfect will and bless us with peace when we are in cooperation. Prayers for a friend being challenged with difficult choices. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
