Daily Thoughts - The Celebration of Christmas.

"When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." [And] Jesus said to her, "Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servers, "Do whatever he tells you." Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him." John 2:3-5, 11
An encounter with Christ and a Mothers love. This scripture speaks of relationship with God, Mary demonstrates her love for God by showing her depth of knowledge of God's divinity. Their relationship is one, they knew each other intimately to the point that Mary knew Jesus as Son of God and her son.
It is relationship that we learn who God is, we experience Him. And in this relationship He transforms us, much like water into wine, we become the best wine within Christ. An encounter with the divinity of Christ began when the disciples experienced Jesus and His divinity. It is an encounter within scripture where God reveals Himself to us, this happens over time in fact many years.
A saint is a sinner seeking the perfection of God. What new years goal do you have for yourself that will produce new wine within?
