Daily Thoughts - Make God Known

Catechism #2758 The prayer of the hour of Jesus, rightly called the "priestly prayer" (cf. Jn 17), sums up the whole economy of creation and salvation. It fulfills the great petitions of the Our Father.
Trust. Pray the Our Father slowly, deliberately and with purpose. It contains all that we need to make it through our day, our week, our month, our life. Jesus lives out His faith and trust with our Father. As the son of man, how many times did he find himself in unforeseen circumstances and he turns to God the Father. He knows this is His source for eternal life.
Life is a great teacher and is way more fun to navigate when God is at the helm. Moses isn't enjoying his circumstances in todays first reading but he turns to God in prayer. Jesus does the same in the Gospel reading, asking for a blessing upon the five loaves. In His final hour, He knows He will not be abandoned for God never abandoned Him in life. He knew He must suffer but in the end God will prevail. Nothing is greater than God, nothing!
Are you learning to trust God in all situations? In the circumstances of your life.
Dear Father, You know it isn't easy to build this muscle and You know what circumstances helps us develop this trust. I am thankful this morning for being able to sit with You and prepare for the day. You know what it has in store for each of us. May we be thankful in all situations as we place our trust in You. Prayers for a friend going thru some stuff, may Your healing hand be upon them. Love Your Son.
Mary, Mother of Love, Pray for us.

St Patrick, Pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
