Daily Thoughts - Make God Known. All Saints Day.
1279 The fruit of Baptism, or baptismal grace, is a rich reality that includes forgiveness of original sin and all personal sins, birth into the new life by which man becomes an adoptive son of the Father, a member of Christ and a temple of the Holy Spirit. By this very fact the person baptized is incorporated into the Church, the Body of Christ, and made a sharer in the priesthood of Christ.
"Blessed". We go up the mountain with Jesus and listen to the beatitudes. Did they ring true to the disciples as they sat there? Do they ring true to us as we sit and listen to Jesus.
Now some years have passed, Jesus has risen and the disciples sit with Jesus along with the Holy Spirit in prayer. They have experienced some of the beatitudes if not all, they are coming together being built into the kingdom of God.
Today we celebrate All Saints' Day, the feast of all those that have gone before us who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb. They still sit in His presence and they still give Him honor and glory. Where are you at in your life? Are you blessed in the presence of God? Are you seeing what the disciples saw as they walked through life?
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers." Psalms 1:1
Dear Father, I sit and listen, feeling the pressures of the day and counting my blessings as we converse. I pray for the world that does not sit at Your feet and see the wonders of Heaven come alive. I am thankful for the time together along with the knowledge of being loved by You. Continue to reveal the scriptures to us as we walk where You once walked. May Your example continue to change those who are walking in the council of the wicked being lead into desolation. Love Your son.
