Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.

Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.

1291 A custom of the Roman Church facilitated the development of the Western practice: a double anointing with sacred chrism after Baptism. The first anointing of the neophyte on coming out of the baptismal bath was performed by the priest; it was completed by a second anointing on the forehead of the newly baptized by the bishop.102 The first anointing with sacred chrism, by the priest, has remained attached to the baptismal rite; it signifies the participation of the one baptized in the prophetic, priestly, and kingly offices of Christ. If Baptism is conferred on an adult, there is only one post-baptismal anointing, that of Confirmation.

Out of adversity comes Triumphant.  Jesus asks us an interesting question this morning.  Will the Son of Man find faith upon His return?   This is a question for each of us.  Do we like the disciples in John 6:66 who are experiencing something they don't like leave the side of Jesus.  We live in very interesting times.

Yet in our first reading in the book of Wisdom, God paints the pictures of adversity and triumph for those who stay the course. The victory is found within prayer, in the constant reminder that God hears our prayers and He will answer them.   "Then he told them a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said,". ‭‭Luke‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬.  Prayer is our direct connection with God.

Dear Lord God, You have given us another day to be persistent and to be obedient to Your will in our life's.  Like Peter, we have no place else to go other than to be by Your side.  Prayers for those hangin on by a thread, may they see the hope that You give within the Gospels.  Open our hearts up to Your Divine will and be attentive to others in need.  Love Your son.

Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
