Steward. It took a little time this morning to comprehend what Jesus was saying in the parable. A good steward recognizes the responsibility to be prudent with the Master's property. "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19
The dishonest steward squanders the masters property with his only concern being self. His focus is only to satisfy his own needs in hopes of gaining benefit not realizing that the Master has given him authority over his goods. Is that not true of our own inheritance and place in life. Are we being honest or dishonest with what has been given? The Master already knows the answer.
Dear Father, there is a joy and peace when we dine together so You can continue what You have begone. I am thankful for the gifts and talents that are available, may I not squander them on selfish desire to the cost of You. Watch over us this day, Thank You for the gift of yesterday. Help each of us to be honest with You, You are forgiving and merciful when we seek You out. Love Your son.
Mary, Holy Mother, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
