Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.
1287 This fullness of the Spirit was not to remain uniquely the Messiah's, but was to be communicated to the whole messianic people.94 On several occasions Christ promised this outpouring of the Spirit,95 a promise which he fulfilled first on Easter Sunday and then more strikingly at Pentecost.96 Filled with the Holy Spirit the apostles began to proclaim "the mighty works of God," and Peter declared this outpouring of the Spirit to be the sign of the messianic age.97 Those who believed in the apostolic preaching and were baptized received the gift of the Holy Spirit in their turn.98

Pursuit. What are your pursuits? What has your attention that your being thirsts for, your body pines for? They are great questions that will reveal to each of us what we value and what we are willing to give of self to receive.
The parable of the ten virgins ends with five being locked in and five being locked out. The five had lamps that were lite but their foolish ways prevented them from being prepared and upon that hour, the door was closed. I wonder what their pursuits were that prevented them from moving forward.
Within the depths of scripture, is the keys to Heaven. In the words is the joy of an everlasting life and within this pursuit we have nothing to give up if He is the one that satisfies our desires. It is the oil that Jesus speaks about and the wisdom that waits for us each morning.
Dear Father, it was a blessed morning to put oil in my lamp, to receive you, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist. I thank you for the grace to pursue the desires You place within my heart. In all that comes about this week, I trust in You to guide my steps. Love Your son.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
