Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.

Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.

1288 "From that time on the apostles, in fulfillment of Christ's will, imparted to the newly baptized by the laying on of hands the gift of the Spirit that completes the grace of Baptism. For this reason in the Letter to the Hebrews the doctrine concerning Baptism and the laying on of hands is listed among the first elements of Christian instruction. The imposition of hands is rightly recognized by the Catholic tradition as the origin of the sacrament of Confirmation, which in a certain way perpetuates the grace of Pentecost in the Church."

Drawn.  I sit with the disciples this morning and listen to Jesus.  What compelled them to ask for an increase in faith?  Jesus was conveying the consequences of sin, His audience was His disciples and within they were drawn to the life that Jesus displayed.  He conveyed holiness within a corrupt world, the same one that they lived in.

This utterance of theirs, was it from head knowledge, or heart knowledge with the power of God's Holy Spirit drawing them into a life filled with peace.  This life is in cooperation with God and it was their faith that caused them to ask.  So within this request is the understanding that it is God who will move the mountain even if they are unaware.

Dear Father, it is with joy that I sit and listen, recognizing my own sinful ways that only You can transform along with my willingness.  Continue to draw us in deeper to that Union that You desire for all.  Bless this day and those that we encounter.  Love Your son.

Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
