1283 With respect to children who have died without Baptism, the liturgy of the Church invites us to trust in God's mercy and to pray for their salvation.

Excuses. I dine once again this morning with Jesus and listen with the heart. His story speaks of His invitation that goes out and the excuses that come back. They are all good excuses but none are worthy of entering the supper of the Lord. How many times have we made excuses such as "I am too busy".
The invitation shows up in many ways. Is our focus upon the body of Christ or on our own self interests. We will not know the hour the Master will call us home, will we know Him or will we be reminded of the excuses that we gave when the invitation was sent. You never know when God is asking.
Dear Lord God, You offer us many opportunities to enter into Your Kingdom. It doesn't come in a fancy box or a beautiful card on the outside but within is the keys to Heaven. Help us recognize our own excuses for not attending to the dinner You have prepared for us each day. Thank you for another day facing sunny side up. Love Your son.
