Daily Thoughts - Make God Known. Christ the King
1296 Christ himself declared that he was marked with his Father's seal.108Christians are also marked with a seal: "It is God who establishes us with you in Christ and has commissioned us; he has put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee."109 This seal of the Holy Spirit marks our total belonging to Christ, our enrollment in his service for ever, as well as the promise of divine protection in the great eschatological trial.

Kingship. Jesus and I sit this morning and visit. He is subject to the Father and I am subject to Him. He is the King in my life that rules over me and my passions. I subject myself to Him and He is a faithful King giving when it isn't deserved. He speaks of a day in todays readings when He will come and separate the shaft from the wheat. When He will ask whom did I serve? Was it God My Father or was it self.
Each day we are given an opportunity to reveal who rules our hearts. There is another king, the king of this world, who lies and deceives. Our own hearts will reveal Truth to us. As this liturgical year comes to an end which King has you captivated, one that has concern for you and your eternal rest or the other that deceives and enslaved.
Dear Father, I read and see what is coming. I listen and respond to the best of the ability given. I look to You to guide my steps and my thoughts. You know where my heart lies and what concerns it, even then I trust in You for You are God. Thank You for another day to live out the gift of this live, may I not be distracted by anything other than Your will. Love Your son.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
