Daily Thoughts 07-31-2017 Ephesians 3:16

"Taking the calf they had made, he burned it in the fire and then ground it down to powder, which he scattered on the water and made the Israelites drink." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭32:20‬

What things or actions do you put before God? Moses came down from the mountain and pointed the err of their ways. God hasn't changed, He asks us to honor Him and only Him. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching. It is good to have our hearts strengthened by grace and not by foods, which do not benefit those who live by them." Hebrews‬ ‭13:8-9‬. We will reap what we sow, the Israelites drank of their misdeeds as part of their punishment, we too will pay a price for not following Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father, the world preaches against you and makes us blind, makes us desire things that interfere with loving You. May You always be front and center of my life, may I always seek to please You. The things of this world do not benefit us, it is the life of Jesus that brings us hope and security for the future. Thank You for paying the price for my sins, may I be a pleasing offering in Your sight today. I pray for insight and calm in moments of trials. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-20-2016 Ephesians 3:16

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it." Matthew‬ ‭13:45-46‬

Are you still searching? As I look back on my life, there was a lot of time spent on searching for happiness or searching to fill the emptiness. No longer, Jesus is the One who fills me with joy, He has filled the emptiness. We all want to spend eternity in heaven, Jesus gives us the opportunity to be in the kingdom of heaven now, get to know Him. Why wait, have you given Jesus your heart?

Dear Lord, You give us a heart that seeks and a mind that understands. I needed to believe before I truly understand. Thank You for allowing me to search so I can understand what an awesome God You are. I look forward to be able to receive You into my spirit today. Fill me with understanding and insight, overcome my weaknesses and may my love for You grow stronger until we are together in Heaven. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-20-2016 Ephesians 3:16

"Offer praise as your sacrifice to God; fulfill your vows to the Most High. Then call on me on the day of distress; I will rescue you, and you shall honor me." Psalms‬ ‭50:14-15‬

Have you ever considered praise to be your sacrifice? It is easy to praise God when things are going good, real easy. What about when things are not going good? Martha didn't want to praise God when she was overwhelmed. "The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things." Luke‬ ‭10:41‬. But look at what Martha did, she turned to God in her time of distress and He gave her comfort. "There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her." Luke‬ ‭10:42‬. So let your praise be your sacrifice.

Dear Lord God, I praise You this morning, I turn to You when I open my eyes and I turn to You as I close them at night. Help me during the day to turn to You both in good times and bad. May I learn to sacrifice more and follow the lead of Martha when things just don't seem to go right and call upon you. I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-28-2017 Exodus 20:2

"I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery." Exodus‬ ‭20:2‬

What was your Egypt? For myself, it was ignorance and lack of respect for God. I did not allow Him in my life unless it was in my terms, then God showed me the err of my ways. I will not go back there! What about you, will you go back? I see people who find Christ and then they return trying to do it their way. God called us to move forward and to give Him the place of honor in our own house. If you remember the story, when the Israelites found it hard they complained to Moses and wanted to return. Your future is not in the past, God is Great and is leading you forward into His kingdom. Make space for Him everyday and listen. Listen!

Dear Lord God, if we pay attention we can see the parables played out in the world around us. I pray I always move forward never to return to Egypt. I pray for all reading this that You help them see their way forward. I pray that as we endure and advance, Your grace increases in our lives. I thank You for the grace of peace. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-20-2016 Ephesians 3:16

"Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:17‬

A prophet foretells of a future event, the scribes and Pharisees considered themselves righteous. What they both longed to see was the coming of the Messiah. Jesus is who they longed to see and hear and the righteous didn't know Him when He was in their midst. Simeon did, He knew Jesus the minute he seen Him. ""Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.""
‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:29-32‬. Do you know the Light of the world. Do you spend time with Him. Do you speak with Him. He will speak with you if you spend time with Him. He knows all even your troubles, why not seek His counsel, that is why He came into the world, to bring peace into our hearts.

Dear Heavenly Father, I long for You in the day, I enjoy the moments when I seek You out and I feel empty when I neglect You. Thank You for giving us, Your Son. May I grow stronger each passing day, by getting to know Your covenant family. May others come to know You, see You and hear You through my actions. The peace You give is an everlasting peace that satisfies. May You continue to fill each of us with Your holy will, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-26-17 Exodus 16:13-15

"In the evening, quail came up and covered the camp. In the morning there was a layer of dew all about the camp, and when the layer of dew evaporated, fine flakes were on the surface of the wilderness, fine flakes like hoarfrost on the ground. "On seeing it, the Israelites asked one another, "What is this?" for they did not know what it was. But Moses told them, "It is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat." Exodus‬ ‭16:13-15

The stories in the Old Testament foretell of what is to come in the New Testament. These events happened, so I have a question for you. Was Jesus only speaking symbolically when "Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you." John‬ ‭6:53‬. If it is just symbolic then the Old Testament story would be a greater event than the New Testament. God gives us bread from heaven to feed us for the journey. As Jesus said "For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." John‬ ‭6:55‬. His words are not symbolic nor is the Eucharist.

Dear Lord God, You give us Your flesh to eat and Your blood to drink so we may have life. Like the Israelites, the journey isn't easy but the food You give us nourishes our soul and is faith. You prepare us for what lays ahead. Send Your Holy Spirit to guide us, increase our faith in You and bless this day with insight and understanding. May I always be at the ready to give reason for my hope. In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 10-20-2016 Ephesians 3:16

"For we who live are constantly being given up to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:11

Each day we are being given up to death for the sake of Jesus, Jesus was persecuted for His thoughts, His beliefs.  He challenged the Scribes and Pharisees, He challenged their authority and their truth.  Do I do the same with my life?  Do I reflect the love that Christ shares?  Am I willing to be persecuted for His/my beliefs?  Will I die to self so He may live in my mortal body?

Dear Lord God, You know the struggles that I deal with, help this day to live as You would.  Help me challenge the authority of this world so You maybe glorified.  Give me strength when I am weak.  Use me today to do Your will.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-24-2017 Matthew 13:41

"The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:41‬

In today's Gospel reading, the imagery we are given tells us to be good seed amongst the weeds, to be the mustard seed that grows to be a shelter for others, to be the yeast in a batch of bread.  Our choices each day impact those around us in good and bad ways depending upon how we respond.  Is it my will that comes thru or is it His will that shines through.  Listen to the heart of God and seek Him to purify You, seek repentance and receive mercy from our Father in Heaven.

Dear Merciful Father, You willing gave Yourself so we might have eternal life.  You gave so we could follow You and do the will of our Father.  Help me today to be the yeast, to be the wheat, to be as You showed me how to be.  I thank You Lord God for loving me and giving me Your Son so I may spend eternity with You.  Draw me closer and continue to shed light upon Your mysteries.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-22-2017 John 20:17

"Jesus said to her, "Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" ‭‭John‬ ‭20:17‬

The grief we experience when I loved one is lost can paralyze us.  Mary Magdala loved Jesus yet her grief temporarily blinded her from seeing Him until he spoke.  She was spurred into action when Jesus said "GO".   "Stop holding on to me", to experience the love of Christ we must listen for His voice and let go of the grief.  Life is meant to be lived and as Jesus said "GO".  Jesus wasn't in the tomb, He had risen and Mary Magdala was able to proclaim, I have seen the Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, Your Spirit reaches the lost and the blind, open our ears to hear You speak to us.  May we see You and follow Your direction for our lives.  Thank You for another day to proclaim I have seen the Lord, may I use this time to Go and do the will of my Father.  I ask this through Your most precious name and through Your most precious blood, amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-21-2017 Exodus 12:7-8

"They will take some of its blood and apply it to the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. They will consume its meat that same night, eating it roasted with unleavened bread and bitter herbs." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:7-8‬

Can you imagine waking the next day to see the first born males of the Egyptians dead?  The sense of awe knowing your family was spared from this disaster would be overpowering. The Passover meal is never ending but I can see how over time the sense of awe and wonder can dwindle.  The first Passover meal began the journey and each of us our on a journey to make it to the promised land.  Do you have the sense of awe and wonderment?  I spoke to someone the other day who said he didn't need church because he doesn't sin.  We all need Christ and we need to be fed by Him just like the Israelites, we need to be saved and to always keep the blood of Jesus over our lentils, always in our thoughts with a sense of awe and shear respect.  Think about who it is you are receiving.

Dear Lord God, we live in a world that denies You, help us see You everywhere.  Lift up our spirits to give You praise and honor in our words and deeds.  Soften our hearts to seek You out and worship You.  May I always have awe and wonderment when I receive You into my soul.  Direct my path today Lord God and put a twinkle in my eye.  I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-20-2017 Exodus 25:30

"Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times." Exodus‬ ‭25:30‬

At the center of our faith is Jesus Christ and the Triune God.  From the beginning God lead His people to follow Him.  And He always gave us food for the journey and traditions.  It was the customs and traditions that got past down from generation to generation.  He has never stopped doing this.  His living presence is before us all the time in the Eucharist.  Jesus is the Pascal Lamb, who was slaughtered for our sins.  He is the one who saves.  The Passover meal was a celebration done in the remembrance of the Israelites exodus.  The lamb had to be consumed, all of it and blood put on the door posts.  Jesus tells us at His last supper to do this in remembrance of Me.  "and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:24-25‬.  His living presence is the Eucharist, we are to consume Him, body and blood.  Do you place His blood over the door posts of your heart?   Doing so puts the bread of the Presence before me at all times.

Dear Heavenly Father, we get stuck in our ways and sometimes we need a wake up call.  You died on a cross for my sins, I am not to receive you lightly or half-hearted.  Inspire my spirit to continue to grow and learn.  Increase my understanding of Your Pascal Mystery.  Be with me today wherever I go.  You are the great I AM, who leads His people.  Bless this day, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-19-2017 Exodus 3:11

"But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?" ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭3:11‬

God asked Moses from a burning bush to lead His people and Moses responds much like we respond today.  "You want me to do what, not me."  God speaks thru others and ask us to help, asks us to step up, get involved.    Who me, surely not I.  Moses did respond and look what happened, he faithfully followed God.  One of the kids on Monday night said, you don't grow unless your are uncomfortable.  God wasn't making Moses comfortable, he was making him uncomfortable and look what he did!  Let God make you uncomfortable and do something that gives glory and honor to God.  Something to think about all these youth groups sure could use some good people to get involved, is it you?

Dear Lord God, I pray for those in leadership roles, protect them Lord God and keep them grounded in Your loving embrace.  Watch over our youth and give them Godly examples of Christian living.  May the heat not impact our judgement today, and give us time to listen to You in the quiet of our hearts.  Thank You Lord God for loving me and for the day ahead.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-18-2017 Matthew 11:24

"But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you." Matthew‬ ‭11:24‬

With life comes responsibility, the choices we make each day with the knowledge we have has eternal consequences.   Jesus came to save and give us hope but if we become complacent in our lives after knowing Him we do not acknowledge His saving grace.  Faith, step out on faith, I witnessed some mighty warriors last night who had been given much and it showed.  Use your God given talents and live His life, speak truth in actions every day.  Change the world around you, it starts with faith and a joyful heart.  "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:38‬

Dear Lord Jesus, You are raising up mighty warriors who are people of actions.  You are the strength that I call upon each day, I look forward to this day as I walk in faith not knowing but knowing.  Thank You for the shield of faith, Thank You for Your saving grace.  Help me overcome my own fears and give what You ask me to give.  I ask this through Your most precious name, Jesus, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-17-2017 Matthew 10:38

"Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me." Matthew‬ ‭10:38‬

If you listen to the world, it speaks of the easy life, the good life.  If you look at your own life, the greatest rewards were always the times when you endured the hardships.  Is your life living for Christ, the crosses you are carrying, are you carrying them for Him?  The cross is yours, whether you follow Jesus is your choice.  You are worthy for Christ knows what you can bare, all He asks is, will you bare it for Him.  Are you living for Christ in all that you do?

Dear Lord, I pray for those who are carrying the cross of illness, strengthen them Lord and give them grace.  May I live a life of purpose that gives You honor, may my focus be on You, Lord Jesus.  Help me be attentive to Your needs.  Keep my eyes fixed on You.   With You as the goal, the cross becomes lighter.  Bless this day Lord with Your presence, increase my desire to grow ever more like You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-15-2017 Matthew 10:24

""The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master." Matthew‬ ‭10:24‬

Reflect upon yesterday, how was your day, did everything go well?  Did you proclaim Christ in actions?   I think did I respond as Christ would have?  Was I a good student?  Did I get ahead of myself and do it my way?  The life of Jesus is our example on how to live.  He was servant to all, He never looked to glorify Himself.  How you live and respond impacts those around you, be His living presence in this world.  Be a student of the Master and live in peace.

Dear Lord God, help us remain cool when it is hot.  Keep us calm while under pressure.  Teach us Your wisdom and understanding as we live our lives.  Thank You Jesus for leading the way each day, may you always be in my thoughts.  Forgive me when I slip up and be patient with me as I continue to learn and grow.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Amen.

""I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:16‬

You always have to be on guard for the evil one is waiting to pounce.  Think through things before acting, what will the outcome be, will it be pleasing to God.  Learn to be patient and let things go their course.  God knows the outcome why force it.  But always be on guard, sheep are always paying attention even when they don't appear to be.

"If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you." ‭Matthew‬ ‭10:13‬

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:9‬.  Does peace follow you around?  I know as I begin my day there will be several things that will come at me and try and disrupt my peace.  My peace comes from Christ, knowing that He is with me.  It takes effort to remain in peace so slow down and recognize God does not give you anything He knows you can't deal with.  Your strength comes from God and He wants you to share His peace.  What are you listening to during the day?  Is it peace or is it the noise of the world?  Be a peacemaker and get what you give.

Dear Lord Jesus, You showed us the way to deal with things in a calm manner.  Your words Lord are Spirit and life, may this be what I bring to the day.  Be by my side as I go about, be in my words and my thoughts, be in my responses.  "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Daily Thoughts 7-12-2017 Matthew 10:7

"As you go, make this proclamation: 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'" ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:7‬

Is the kingdom of heaven at hand for you in a personal way?  Are you proclaiming this wherever you go?  Is Jesus your King?  Jesus sent the Apostles forth proclaiming the good news, the kingdom of heaven has been at hand for almost 2000 years, but what about you.  Are you ok to live without Jesus today?  My first thought in the morning is to turn to God, my last thought of the day is to turn to God.  During the day I call upon Him for help.  His kingdom is at hand in my imperfect world all the time.  Jesus sends all of us forth, be an ardent disciple of His and do what the Master asks of you, make Him King in your world.

Dear Lord God, strengthen us with Your Spirit, may we be filled with the fullness of God.  May our thoughts turn to You all the time.  Fill us with Your Joy, fill us with Your hope and fill us with Your love for humanity.  Bless my actions today Lord, may they profess my faith and believe in a loving God that is at the center.  Amen.

"Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:37-38‬

Are you in the mission fields?  I remember as a kid watching a farmer cut hay with a sickle and we would have to go and put the hay in stacks so it could dry out.  I didn't like doing it and I did it half hearted.  The farmer had purpose, I was a child and acted such, my purpose was to play not work.   Do you have purpose in the mission fields?  The life that God gives you is your fields, are you reaching those within your influence?   Are they seeing Christ at work.

Dear Lord God, You send us into the fields each day to reach the lost and lonely.  May I see my purpose for today, may I witness to those whom I encounter and may You touch them.  My actions speak so loudly that the words are not heard, infuse Your Spirit in my actions.  Give me joy today Lord.  I ask this in Your most holy name, Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-10-2017 Matthew 9:18

"While he was saying these things to them, an official came forward, knelt down before him, and said, "My daughter has just died. But come, lay your hand on her, and she will live." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9:18‬

Faith, to go to Jesus, kneel in His presence and ask for Him to come and save.  As a Catholic I have the same opportunity, to kneel in His presence and ask for His help.  The body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus resides in every Catholic Church, you can go there today and kneel down before Him.   Do you have  the same faith as this official?  Will you believe in what others are telling you?  "Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it." ‭Mark‬ ‭10:15‬

Dear Heavenly Father, You are always with us, guiding our steps and instructing us in Your ways.  Help me become more child like when it comes to my faith.  May I be curious and inquisitive.  May I be like the official, knowing You will hear and answer me when I come before you.  Bless this coming week and may I radiate Your love in actions.  I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-8-2017

"People do not put new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise the skins burst, the wine spills out, and the skins are ruined. Rather, they pour new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved." ‭Matthew‬ ‭9:17‬

God's word comes alive in us each time we read it.  Staying engaged with God on a daily bases keeps us fresh in the Spirit.  It is this daily journey where we are constantly being renewed and God continues to pour new wine in.  His blessings will never overflow as long as you sit at His feet each day.  There is JOY each day when you walk with God.  He has your back and He will guide you.

Lord God, You are my Lord!  I turn to You in my need, I turn to You in the calm, I turn to You in the storm.  You are always there!  Thank You Lord for the continued newness in You.  May my Spirit always be open and ready to receive the wine that You offer each day.  Bring joy into the world through Your people and Thank You Jesus for another day to grow closer to You and Dad.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 7-7-2017 Matthew 9:13

"Go and learn the meaning of the words, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' I did not come to call the righteous but sinners." Matthew‬ ‭9:13‬

"I desire mercy not sacrifice", for the longest time, I would sacrifice my time on Sunday morning and offer it to God, I was being a good Christian or at least I thought I was.  The difference is in the attitude of the person.  Mercy is lived every day, it is a way of life.  Do you look upon others with compassion?  Do you see the good in them even when they cause you pain.  Are you able to forgive someone who has harmed you?  Jesus always has mercy for us, He gave of Himself so we could live forever and it was painful for Him.  That is mercy and true sacrifice.  Can I lay down my pride, my ego, my desires and forgive as my Father does for me every day?  I will by the grace of God and His help.

Dear Lord, You give us opportunities every day to learn the difference between mercy and sacrifice.  Show me how to be more compassionate with those around me.  Help me give of myself where it is not a sacrifice but it is the love I have for you that motivates me.  Bless this day so it will glorify You in all that I do.  Thank You Lord for Your Holy Spirit, please give us more of You.  I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Mary, Queen of Apostles, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 7-6-2017 Genesis 22:3-4

"Early the next morning Abraham saddled his donkey, took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac, and after cutting the wood for the burnt offering, set out for the place of which God had told him.  On the third day Abraham caught sight of the place from a distance." Genesis‬ ‭22:3-4

Can you imagine the thoughts of Abraham as he walked with his son knowing he was about to offer him up to God.  For three days Abraham endured this pain yet he continued to walk.  Each day we are asked to walk with God not knowing the outcome.  God always provides for those who are faithful to Him.  On the third day God gave Abraham a ram to sacrifice.     Can you imagine his jubilation and his great fullness to God.   God asks will YOU walk with me?

Dear Lord God, You give us living examples on how to respond each day.  You are a faithful God, help us trust in You and Your divine mercy as we walk with You.   Thank You Lord for Your guidance and the desire to please You.   As life comes at us, may we have the faith of Abraham and trust You.  I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, Amen.

Mary, Spouse of the Holy Ghost, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 7-5-2017 Matthew 8:28

"When he came to the other side, to the territory of the Gadarenes, two demoniacs who were coming from the tombs met him. They were so savage that no one could travel by that road." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8:28‬

God saves His children, the demoniacs are people who have gone astray, they are not seeking God.  The anger and hate that has filled their lives has changed who they are.  I wonder why were they at the tombs, who were they worshipping?  God hears the cry of the poor and Jesus saved them.  The choices we make each day impacts our future.  Are your choices drawing you closer or farther away from God.  I would guess that these two people at one time were not savages but they chose each day to move a little farther away until it was no longer their choice anymore.

Dear Lord God, You show mercy to those who know You, help us know You.  Listen to our hearts and give us what we need today.  Drive out of me what creates separation from knowing You.  Help me see others as how You see them, Your creation and made in Your image.  Keep us safe today Lord and draw us closer to You.  Listen to the cry of the poor and give them comfort, You are always faithful.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 7-4-2017 Genesis 19:26

"But Lot's wife looked back, and she was turned into a pillar of salt." Genesis‬ ‭19:26‬

The lessons live teaches us we are to learn from them and move forward.  To repeat a life lesson is much more painful the second time around, it shows our lack of understanding.  Lots wife wanted to preserve her old life but God was pushing her forward.  We are to learn from our mistakes not to repeat them again.

As I think of this country, USA, God made us a nation founded upon religious freedom not freedom from religion.  This country was founded upon principles given to each of us by God and it is our responsibility to continue to push forward in pursuit of our God given talent and abilities.   We the people must not forget that it was God who gave us freedom, and freedom isn't free.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Prayer of St Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

Daily Thoughts 7-3-2017 John 20:25

"So the other disciples said to him, "We have seen the Lord." But he said to them, "Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nailmarks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." ‭John‬ ‭20:25‬

"I have seen the Lord", sharing Christ with someone who doesn't believe can be a challenge especially if they are like Saint Thomas.  His brothers whom he was in fellowship with were telling him, yet he didn't take their word.  Don't be frustrated with those whom you have approached, when they do see the Lord they will be just as determined but this time it will be their belief they will be professing not their unbelief.

Dear Lord Jesus, help us in our discipleship to be understanding where people are at in life.  May we recall our unbelief and how we responded to others.  Give us the grace to be patient with our selves.  You are the way, the truth and the life, and we are the messengers.   In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 7-2-2017 Romans 6:3

"Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?" ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3‬

Are you baptized into His death and living in the newness of life with Christ?  Who is at the center of your life?   Is Jesus Christ the center, do you think about Him through out the day?  Is He in your thoughts when you are deciding between death(sin) or life.  Jesus died for your sins, as long as you keep Him at the center, you will also be dead to sin.  Otherwise sin will be at the center and you will not experience the Risen Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, You give us Your Spirit to live life to its fullest.  Encourage us to live like You, to think like You and to have You at the center of our life.  Bless this day with Your grace and enable us to conquer sin in our lives.  May we die to self so You may increase in our lives.  Heal those that are sick, heal those who are burdened, may Your Spirit grow in each of us.  In Jesus name, amen.

Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, pray for us.

Daily Thoughts 7-1-2017 Matthew 8:14-15

"When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8:14-15‬

The touch of the Masters hand still occurs today.  I heard a story yesterday where someone was healed by His touch.  The story's in the Bible are real life and Jesus continues to heal!  What a world we would live in if everyone was touched by Christ and carried Him forward, It would be paradise on earth.  In the mean time we have to be patient and help be His healing touch, one soul at a time.  Be Christ to someone today whether they realize it or not.

Dear Lord Jesus, we all desire the happiness of being healed, help us see what life is like walking in the peace of Christ.  You are the Master of life, be the Master of my life.  Heal those who are sick, touch those who are in pain, give them joy Lord so we may all wait on You.  Praise be to the One who heals, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayers for God's healing touch
