Daily Thoughts 07-31-2017 Ephesians 3:16

"Taking the calf they had made, he burned it in the fire and then ground it down to powder, which he scattered on the water and made the Israelites drink." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭32:20‬

What things or actions do you put before God? Moses came down from the mountain and pointed the err of their ways. God hasn't changed, He asks us to honor Him and only Him. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching. It is good to have our hearts strengthened by grace and not by foods, which do not benefit those who live by them." Hebrews‬ ‭13:8-9‬. We will reap what we sow, the Israelites drank of their misdeeds as part of their punishment, we too will pay a price for not following Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father, the world preaches against you and makes us blind, makes us desire things that interfere with loving You. May You always be front and center of my life, may I always seek to please You. The things of this world do not benefit us, it is the life of Jesus that brings us hope and security for the future. Thank You for paying the price for my sins, may I be a pleasing offering in Your sight today. I pray for insight and calm in moments of trials. In Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Mother of All Souls, pray for us.
