"Early the next morning Abraham saddled his donkey, took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac, and after cutting the wood for the burnt offering, set out for the place of which God had told him. On the third day Abraham caught sight of the place from a distance." Genesis 22:3-4
Can you imagine the thoughts of Abraham as he walked with his son knowing he was about to offer him up to God. For three days Abraham endured this pain yet he continued to walk. Each day we are asked to walk with God not knowing the outcome. God always provides for those who are faithful to Him. On the third day God gave Abraham a ram to sacrifice. Can you imagine his jubilation and his great fullness to God. God asks will YOU walk with me?
Dear Lord God, You give us living examples on how to respond each day. You are a faithful God, help us trust in You and Your divine mercy as we walk with You. Thank You Lord for Your guidance and the desire to please You. As life comes at us, may we have the faith of Abraham and trust You. I ask this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, Amen.
Mary, Spouse of the Holy Ghost, pray for us.
