"Offer praise as your sacrifice to God; fulfill your vows to the Most High. Then call on me on the day of distress; I will rescue you, and you shall honor me." Psalms 50:14-15
Have you ever considered praise to be your sacrifice? It is easy to praise God when things are going good, real easy. What about when things are not going good? Martha didn't want to praise God when she was overwhelmed. "The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things." Luke 10:41. But look at what Martha did, she turned to God in her time of distress and He gave her comfort. "There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her." Luke 10:42. So let your praise be your sacrifice.
Dear Lord God, I praise You this morning, I turn to You when I open my eyes and I turn to You as I close them at night. Help me during the day to turn to You both in good times and bad. May I learn to sacrifice more and follow the lead of Martha when things just don't seem to go right and call upon you. I ask this in Your most holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.
