Deuteronomy 14 - Be holy as your Father in Heaven is Holy

"You shall not eat any abominable thing."
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭14:3

Deuteronomy 14 - Be holy as your Father in Heaven is Holy.  Do we follow the letter of the law or the spirit of the law.  Jesus laid down His life not for the letter of the law but for the Spirit of law.  He gives us freedom from all of our sins, He felt all our pain, all our sorrow and all our affliction and we are healed by His words: "by His stripes we were healed."  What we put in is important - His Word, what we retain is important, we decide how to accept the word of God.  Read Isaiah 53:1-7a and be filled by His Holy Spirit.  It is not the letter of the law as the Jewish follow today but the spirit of the law.  Let it all go and give Him glory with your life.

What is God saying to me: In the darkness I am always with you for this is where I have placed My hope for your future.  Be at peace my son, you are loved even until
 Death.

Dear Father in Heaven, we are blessed to be walking upon this earth in the foot steps of Your Son and Your faithful Disciples.   May we realize the gift that you freely give and we freely receive, we are all chosen to receive.  May we not be in-prisoned by our own sins but freed by the blood of the Lamb.  Thank You Father for the freedom and the power and the glory of a relationship with you.  May others come to know what a life of devotion is all about in our own daily journeys.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Saints, pray for us.

Deuteronomy 13 - Life is a test

"do not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer; for the LORD, your God, is testing you to know whether you really love the LORD, your God, with all your heart and soul. The LORD, your God, shall you follow, and him shall you fear; his commandments shall you observe, and to his voice shall you listen; him you shall serve, and to him you shall hold fast." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭13:4-5‬

Deuteronomy 13 - Life is a test.  Loving God is the only right answer to the test.  Every other answer leads us astray.  Jesus walked this planet and passed the test.  He faced every known false prophet, difficulty and challenge, yet His relationship with the one True God never failed Him.  It can be done and He gives us the keys to Heaven, the answer right in His word:"to his voice shall you listen."  Life is a joy to live when you walk with God each day, I pray You see that, surround yourself with the salt of the earth and live.

What is God saying to me: You are blessed by My presence through the lives of others, even in their suffering they are filled with joy, the best wine I have to give.  Be blessed today as you walk about, I am by your side.

Dear Father, my heart is filled this morning to over flowing, there is a tremendous grace given when we turn our lives over to You and just live a simple life being loved by You.  Father, the journey is far from over and the future is yours, in our pains and sorrows You are found and given Your rightful place in our lives.  Lord, You know what My prayer is and I know You will respond.  Fill this day with Your treasure and beauty as You make room for more.  Thank You Father, Your servant is listening.  In Jesus's name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 12 - Honor God and Him alone

"When the LORD, your God, cuts down from before you the nations you are going in to dispossess, and you have dispossessed them and are settled in their land, be careful that you not be trapped into following them after they have been destroyed before you. Do not inquire regarding their gods, "How did these nations serve their gods, so I might do the same."" Deuteronomy‬ ‭12:29-30

Deuteronomy 12 - Honor God and Him alone.  We are each called differently by our Heavenly Father, whether it be tapped on the shoulder, a gentle brush as Jesus passes by or a profound moment.  Our paths are unique to each, He tells us by His example to go into the fields to retrieve the lost but not to go into the fields and become the lost.  This world seeks to get a hold of you but with your feet firmly planted upon the Rock, hearing our Father, you will not stray.  Be the contradiction to what the world speaks, be the joy in your community.  It gives life giving blood and will return what you put in only multiplied by our Heavenly Father.

What is God saying to me: I stir your heart for a purpose that is yet to be revealed.  It is in these quiet moments that through your memory I reveal my message. Sit still and relax, today will be a great day.

Dear Father, I love being in Your presence and watching You transform lives by giving hope, giving vision, healing the sick and drawing us to You.  I am Your son who willingly follows, encourage those we encounter, may I be Your voice, Your eyes, Your hands, Your humble servant.  Bless those today who are serving and honoring You, May they not be impacted by those who have yet to encounter You or by those who are not in communion with You.  Keep us safe and may we each do as we are called by You.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 11 - It is good we are here.

"but it was you who saw with your own eyes all these great deeds that the LORD has done.

If, then, you truly listen to my commandments which I give you today, loving and serving the LORD, your God, with your whole heart and your whole being, I will give the seasonal rain to your land, the early rain and the late rain, that you may have your grain, wine and oil to gather in;‭‭ Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:7, 13-14‬

Deuteronomy 11 - It is good we are here.  There is a peace and calm in life if we are building our foundation upon the Lord God Almighty.  He watches over are comings and goings, He provides direction in our life and He gives us peace in the midst of many different things.  Listen to your heart as you speak to God, He responds to us with a kind gesture, and answers to your prayers and questions.  We are never alone in life, we are never without when we trust in God.

Dear Father, it is good that we are here, I take in Your beauty and breath easier knowing You and I are in communion.  You are watching over my comings ang goings, directing my path.  Life is so much simpler when I trust in You totally.  Lord, my it not be head knowledge that moves me but heart knowledge, it is this that I am leaning upon.  I thank You for all that You are doing.  Thank You for the blessings of Your family that surrounds us.  Thank You for the bread of life that feeds our spirit.  In the name above every other name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Deuteronomy 10 - Be stiff-necked no longer.

"Circumcise therefore the foreskins of your hearts, and be stiff-necked no longer. For the LORD, your God, is the God of gods, the Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who has no favorites, accepts no bribes, who executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and loves the resident alien, giving them food and clothing. So you too should love the resident alien, for that is what you were in the land of Egypt."  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭10:16-19‬

Deuteronomy 10 - Be stiff-necked no longer.  Do we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, to remove the protective coating on our heart  and risk getting hurt.  God loves each of us all the same and in doing so He risks rejection.

What is God saying to me:  Be vunerable, in doing so you are allowing the movement of the Holy Spirit in your life.  It is in these periods that you will gain insight and understanding.  I Am moving within.

Dear Lord God, it has been a blessed day with the presence of Your Holy Family.  I am thankful for the moments of grace and Your voice thru others.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 9 - Let Go and Let God

"Hear, O Israel! You are now about to cross the Jordan to enter in and dispossess nations greater and stronger than yourselves, having large cities fortified to the heavens,

Know, then, today that it is the LORD, your God, who will cross over before you as a consuming fire; he it is who will destroy them and subdue them before you, so that you can dispossess and remove them quickly, as the LORD promised you.

They are your people and your heritage, whom you have brought out by your great power and with your outstretched arm." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭9:1, 3, 29‬

Deuteronomy 9 - Let Go and Let God.  We are all Pilgrims on a journey so what is God telling us in Chapter 9?  "Not by might, and not by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts." Zechariah‬ ‭4:6‬b.  We can think it is i that does it or has to do it but God is telling us to allow Him to lead, give Him the glory or suffer the consequences.  Moses had to go before God to pray for the Israelites, to lay prostrate and intervene in their prideful ways.  Get out of the way and give it all to God, every pain, every sorrow, every joy.  He tells us in today's reading: "For the yoke that burdened them, the pole on their shoulder, The rod of their taskmaster, you have smashed, as on the day of Midian."  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:3‬.  Let Go and Let God, He leads.

What is God saying to me: I will show you My humanity, My teachings and My love that I have for you.  You are entering My Kingdom in your heart.

Dear Father, I am almost overwhelmed with my senses and trying to understand knowing it is not I but You who is my strength.  Thank You Father of this pilgrimage, I wait with anticipation as You lead and we follow as we witness the power of Your Holy Spirit move in our lives.  Lord reveal to those being called how simple a holy life is even being surrounded by the complexity of the world.  Prayers for healing, prayers for strength and prayers for growth but above all that, prayers for a servants heart to witness to others the glory of who You are in a world trying to out grow You.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 8 - Testing and our response

"Remember how for these forty years the LORD, your God, has directed all your journeying in the wilderness, so as to test you by affliction, to know what was in your heart: to keep his commandments, or not." Deuteronomy‬ ‭8:2‬

Deuteronomy 8 - Testing and our response.  Did God put the Israelites in the wilderness, no the Israelites did it by worshipping a false idol, but God guides their each and every step.  Do we recognize God in our lives, can we see Heaven here on earth, can we experience Heaven here on earth.  Yes, it begins with listening and obeying God, to give God His rightful place within our heart.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b.

Sometimes it is hard to understand why things happen but God tells us to trust Him, to put Him first, we are to be His servant and He will amaze you when this happens.  We get to chose Heaven or Hell and God works overtime to get our attention, He will not stop until you realize a life with God is Heaven even if bad things happen.  The devil is working just as hard to get you to ignore God or blame God, he is out to win and will deceive you with every lie.  Put God in your heart and listen, that is what Jesus did, He is true man, our example.

What is God saying to me: I have given you things to carry, Jesus My Son, is on the inside, this is Heaven.

Dear Father, I love being in the boat with You, to have You close to me, all day long.  You speak in ways that opens up a new world.  Keep us safe on our journey, transform lives with Your gentle touch and open up a new world to each of us.  Prayers for all those reaching out to You today, asking for help or guidance, may each recognize that they maybe Your answer to someone's prayer.  Prayers for a friend in a test, I thank You Father for healing the pain, for forgiveness in his heart and for a new day that will soon dawn in his life.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Deuteronomy 7 - Reminder

"do not be afraid of them. Rather, remember clearly what the LORD, your God, did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt: the great testings which your own eyes have seen, the signs and wonders, the strong hand and outstretched arm with which the LORD, your God, brought you out. The same also will he do to all the peoples of whom you are now afraid.

Therefore, do not be terrified by them, for the LORD, your God, who is in your midst, is a great and awesome God. He will remove these nations before you little by little. You cannot finish with them quickly, lest the wild beasts become too numerous for you." ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:18-19, 21-22‬

Deuteronomy 7 - Reminder.  Moses builds an army of mighty warriors by helping them see the victory is God's not theirs, it is their actions that is needed.  These people were the next generation, they didn't see these events but their eyes, their ancestors did,  and now they would receive the glory of the promised land.  The battle is won in the mind once you have firmly planted God in your mind and heart, life is a joy even if you are dying.  And just in case you aren't aware, we are all dying, we are one day closer to paradise so fight the good fight for the victory is God's, You.

What is God saying to me: The battle is already won, My Son Jesus, true God and true man, figured it out with the help of My grace.  His heart is full and you know it.

Dear Father God, You paint great pictures, provide vivid memories and give us Your grace.  You gave us grace yesterday to accomplish the task, You pour grace into us today for the task.  I pray for those in the battle that do not see Your grace, may we be the light of Christ that they see the battle is already won if they would surrender and let You.  Prayers for a family that will celebrate the life of a saint, may he be seated at the table of plenty this morning as we gather.  Father Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Deuteronomy 6 - Moses Vision

"Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with your whole heart, and with your whole being, and with your whole strength.

Bind them on your arm as a sign and let them be as a pendant on your forehead.

be careful not to forget the LORD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that house of slavery. The LORD, your God, shall you fear; him shall you serve, and by his name shall you swear."  Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5, 8, 12-13

Deuteronomy 6 - Moses vision.  What did Moses see when he once again reminds the Israelites of God's laws?  Having everything can still be having nothing if you don't have God.  Moses had everything but was still empty when he lived in the land of milk and honey(Pharaoh's House). Without God in our life all these things are empty.  And having God doesn't guarantee no challenges for Pharaoh(the devil) wants you back.  Moses knew with God in your heart, bound on your arm where others could see that there was a mighty bond between you and God, it is living your faith.  There will be a period you will struggle in your journey but keep God in your heart and His strength is stronger, He will pull you through.  Moses could see because he had lived it.

What is God saying to me: Be careful in the words you choose.

Dear Father, thank You for another beautiful morning and day to go into the garden, it is flowing with milk and honey along with the tree of life.  I thank You Father for being greater in me, for taking me through various situations so I may understand the journey.  Prayers for a friend being tested heavily, send reinforcements to give him strength, he is a good man.  Lord, use me today where You need me at, be bound tightly upon my arm.  I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Deuteronomy 5 - God is unchanging

"The LORD, our God, made a covenant with us at Horeb; not with our ancestors did the LORD make this covenant, but with us, all of us who are alive here this day. Face to face, the LORD spoke with you on the mountain from the midst of the fire,"  ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:2-4‬

Deuteronomy 5 - God is unchanging, it is we who change.  How is your morning face to face with God going?  He speaks if we listen.  Moses learned after God got his attention, over time his relationship with God grew.  In scripture God speaks, it is our burning Bush if we will open it and read.  God makes His covenant with you and I and our ancestors.  The generation that seen the fire and heard His voice had passed but He is telling us the covenant is with you and I, we can hear God's voice if we will not be afraid to approach Him.  Fire has a way of cleansing each of us, trial by fire, we face it each day, with God it is easier without God it is painful for it burns.  Face to face, in the darkness and stillness, He speaks.  Here I am Lord, I come to do Your will Lord, send me.

What is God saying to me: I hear Your voice, I see you sitting in the darkness, I see the fire and it is purifying you.  Continue to push forward, I did not solve Moses problems but gave him the ability to solve them as well as send others who would help.  I am God who saves and prepares you for the promised land.  Stay the course, it will improve, many are listening and becoming stronger in their journey, they see what you see.

Dear Father, You are great, You are holy and I love you with all my heart.  You hear my request and You are the provider of all good things, I thank You for leading the way, for giving insight to what is important.  May we focus on the task at hand and not be distracted by the interference or shiny objects that are put in our way to slow us down.  Prayers this morning for our country and the divisiveness it is causing, the truth will prevail and You will restore what we were created for.  Prayers for those feeling hopelessness or despair, God hears you and loves you, turn to Him daily in prayer, He is speaking.  Bless this day Father, show us how important our relationship with You is, I ask this in Jesus mane, Amen.

Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Deuteronomy 4 - Our Mission

"but you, who held fast to the LORD, your God, are all alive today. See, I am teaching you the statutes and ordinances as the LORD, my God, has commanded me, that you may observe them in the land you are entering to possess. Observe them carefully, for this is your wisdom and discernment in the sight of the peoples, who will hear of all these statutes and say, "This great nation is truly a wise and discerning people."

However, be on your guard and be very careful not to forget the things your own eyes have seen, nor let them slip from your heart as long as you live, but make them known to your children and to your children's children, Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:4-6, 9

Deuteronomy 4 - Our mission.  Moses is preparing his people to go forward into the promised land.  What was going thru his mind knowing he couldn't cross over?  He wanted the Israelites to safeguard what God had given them, to remember what God had done for them and to insure that what he had learned and what they had learned would be passed on to the next generations.  A new land filled with milk and honey, a land with another way of life, would they forget what they had learned.  In our own journeys we get allured by the newness, maybe trying something different and slowly over time walking away and not knowingly, unintended consequences, changing what God had intended.   You have a responsibility to pass on what God gave you, do it with love as Moses did, speak of your love for God and then pray to God, knowing He will shepherd His people.  We each must travel this journey, be a wise and discerning people.

What is God saying to me: Do not let your heart be troubled, I journey with them for they are entrusted to Me, have faith.

Dear Father, there are memories that come flooding back of a simpler time, where my faith of my youth was my parents, now it Is mine to pass on to the next generation.  I am entrusting them to You, You have passed on to this day what Moses spoke that day.  Awaken our senses to see what is real and what is true, give us an ear to know the path forward.  Thank You for Your faithful servants walking in faith, following Your voice and leading the way, may they be blessed with the same knowledge Moses had.  Prayers for a friend that had a medical scare, all is well.   Bless this day Father and may You sing to us today, Amen.

Deuteronomy 3 - Unity

"At that time I charged you: The LORD, your God, has given you this land as your possession. But all your troops equipped for battle must cross over in the vanguard of your fellow Israelites."  Deuteronomy‬ ‭3:18‬

Deuteronomy 3 - Unity.  God's army is strongest when it is together, when it is united it, nothing can stop it.  We live in a world that looks to divide, to pit one side against another, division is of the devil.  Are we not all God's children, why should we not act as one, there is but one God not multiple gods.  Jesus went about uniting the lost children of Israel with His Father, that is our call too, to build God's army.   It is an army that fights on its knees, when we, as a community, bring our requests to Heaven, they are heard and are answered.   Pray for one another for we are each in a battle, together we are unstoppable.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, it is Your voice that speaks the loudest in my world.  I pray for unity in Your people, may we all work together to defeat the ruler of this world.  It requires our conscious effort each day to sit still and listen to what it is You command of each of us.  Prayers for a little boy who will begin chemo treatment this week, I pray for hid family and for Victory over the battle in his life.  Watch over us this day, keep us save and May we all pray for one another, that we remain strong and battle ready, Amen.

Deuteronomy 2 - The time of Fulfillment

"Surely, the LORD, your God, has blessed you in all your undertakings; he has been concerned about your journey through this vast wilderness. It is now forty years that the LORD, your God, has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭2:7‬

In our wanderings, we have not been alone for God has been with you.  When Jesus was baptized, He was driven into the desert, He too was in the vast wilderness.  Our journey is His journey, there comes a point in one's life that there is an understanding what God's truth is.  Even in the wilderness, you know of God and in your seeking you find Him, we all go through it, we must go through it for how do we know what truth is until we experience the false truth.   Like Jesus and the Israelites that crossed the Jordan into the promised land and our own wilderness there comes a time: "This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." Mark‬ ‭1:15‬.  You are never alone, God understands your journey and so do many many more.  Believe in the Gospel and do as Jesus did, live your faith.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, the time is at hand, we all experience a wilderness, a time being away from You but You continually seek us out.  You never stop chasing us down and showing us how relatable Your Son Jesus is.  The happiness we seek is found in Jesus and His daily walk, help each of us see that.  Prayers for those in the wilderness, may they hear Your voice and see Your Son and the temptations He faced and how He overcame them.  Thank You for family and friends to love, thank You for accepting all of our sins so we may enter the promised land knowing You are God and greater than all.  In Jesus name, amen.

Deuteronomy 1 - Go

"See, I have given that land over to you. Go now and possess the land that the LORD swore to your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them. Appointment of Elders.

May the LORD, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times over, and bless you as he promised!" Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:8, 11‬

Deuteronomy 1 - Go.  Moses addresses the Israelites and uses their history to show how God operates in their lives when they listen and obey and when they go their own direction.  God knows life is a great teacher because we have vision behind us, only God can see the future.  You as well can look at your life and see the same stories that Moses spoke in your memories.  When we listen to God and obey, He moves mountains, He gives what is needed, He does the fighting and He is glorified.  When we allow other voices to overpower Him, you lose.  Look at history, it will speak to you.  If God has asked you to go, then I would go even if I was fearful, even if I couldn't see around the corner, even if I wasn't prepared.  Go and possess the Land that God gives you.

What is God saying to me: Listen in the quiet of your heart, in the peace I speak, I will let no harm fall upon you as long as you obey.

Dear Father, life is a great teacher, even in my failures I see You at work preparing my path ahead.  Father, I so look forward to our morning face to face, where I get to sit at Your feet and listen.  Help others understand the importance of quiet reflection, to sit at peace in Your presence and be taught by Your Holy Spirit.   Prayers for those who are listening, they are gaining access to the promised land.  Prayers for someone that You put in my thoughts, may he know that all will be well, You are at work in his life even though it doesn't feel like it.  Thank You for this day may I go into it with gratitude and joy in my spirit, Amen!

Numbers 36 - God knows

"They said: "The LORD commanded my lord to apportion the land by lot for a heritage among the Israelites; and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the heritage of Zelophehad our kinsman to his daughters. But if they marry into one of the other Israelite tribes, their heritage will be withdrawn from our ancestral heritage and will be added to that of the tribe into which they marry; thus the heritage that fell to us by lot will be diminished. When the Israelites celebrate the jubilee year, the heritage of these women will be added to that of the tribe into which they marry and their heritage will be withdrawn from that of our ancestral tribe."" ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭36:2-4‬

Numbers 36 - God knows, we have to ask.  When God gave instruction to give the heritage of  Zelophehad to his daughters, He knew it could diminish the lot of that tribe, why did He not add to His instructions?  In our relationship with God we have to ask, He draws us to Him and He seeks us to ask for His input.  In your other relationship do you just blindly follow?  In asking for clarity with this question it shows the understanding of all of God's instructions and it created a dilemma, what do we do?  God draws us closer and in our relationship it requires us to ask, to seek input so we know the will of God.  ""And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:9‬

What is God saying to me: clarity is given to those who ask, our relationship isn't just one way, we work together.  I gave you a mind to think and use, it is a gift.

Dear Lord God, You bring clarity into all situations when we seek You.  In the stillness You speak, I see the clarity You gave this week through the words of others.  I see You drawing me closer and giving understanding in situations.  You know, I must ask.  Thank You Father for Your gifts and for Your patients.  In our trials we are learning who we are and how we need to depend upon You.  Prayers for a family member needing help, You Lord are the Great Healer and You are healing in this situation.  Bless this day Lord, may I go and do Your will, Amen.

Numbers 35 - Run to the Lord

"Now these are the cities you will give to the Levites: the six cities of asylum which you must establish for the homicide to run to, and in addition forty-two other cities—" ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭35:6‬

Numbers 35 - Run to the Lord.  God establishes a place of sanctuary when a death occurs at the hands of another.  A place where one can go until it could be judged properly.  The Levite's served God in the temple and in a sense served God in rehabilitating those that showed up in town.  God is a safe haven, He knows the whole story and provides a place of protection in the midst of chaos.  Without these cities of asylum, there is no where to go.  God is the safe haven, a harbor to go to for protection in the midst of a storm.  Justice will be dealt with but at least there is a place one can go to for peace.  We too need this place, a sanctuary, run to the Lord.

What is God saying to me: Stay the course and listen, I give words every day to you.  Surrender.

Dear Father, I enjoy our sanctuary each morning, a place where we can just be.  A place where You and I commune, I can just be.  I thank You for the places of rest that You provide and for moments throughout the day that You give.  Father, You see the spiritual battle that is going on, You see what we can not but maybe only perceive, help us recognize the importance of having a sanctuary where we can go to be protected from the avenger of blood.  Prayers for those lost in the fog, prayers for our priest, sisters and brothers who offer themselves in lives of dedicated love.   Bless this day Father with your Holy Spirit, Amen.

Numbers‬ ‭34:1, 16‬

Numbers 34 - Covenant Relationship.  In any healthy relationship there is trust, there is time spent together and there is listening.  We can see Moses listens to God, he trusts in His direction and they spend time together, Moses let's go and let's God.  In our relationship with God we also need the same thing, I look back and see when I didn't give God time, I didn't listen and I didn't trust.  God was still there but I wasn't present with Him.  Today I am present all the time for I am conscious of His presence all the time.  It is "I" in the relationship that needs to figure it out, God "is" always present.  When we do, He directs your path and gives you peace.  The best place to figure it out is the quiet and stillness of the morning.  Enjoy your day, God got it already figured out.

What is God saying to me: You listen, I speak in the quiet of your heart.

Dear Father, You speak louder when I am still, you know my challenge this morning is being still.  I thank You for revealing Yourself today in the stillness, for being patient as I got there and for always being present.  I thank You for the gift of trust and the desire to push through when feelings get in the way.  Lord, I pray for this world, there is a lot going on, may we each see how You are preparing. Thank You Father for answered prayers, prayers for those facing challenges, may they be blessed by being present to You, a gift from You.  Bless this day Lord and may "I" always be present with You, Amen.

Numbers 33 - The Spiritual Journey

"Setting out from the Red Sea, they camped in the wilderness of Sin.

But if you do not dispossess the inhabitants of the land before you, those whom you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the land where you live," Numbers‬ ‭33:11, 55‬

Numbers 33 - The Spiritual Journey.  Knowing where one is at is the first step of a thousand miles.  Many stay camped in the wilderness of sin and do not know it.  It is a comfortable place until it isn't, until you figure out it doesn't satisfy.  Then the decision is made to move,  to remove sin that is causing pain and harassing you.  As we journey farther we recognize within ourselves how we still harbor inner thoughts and feelings that don't appear to be sin at the beginning of our journey but in fact are.  It is in working on removing these inner prejudices and allowing Jesus to do the house cleaning are we striving for the prize.  A little quiet reflection in the glow of God sheds light on our journey.  What is God saying to you?

What is God saying to me:  I have shown you areas that are in need of addressing, you see your ways and you also have the desire to remove them, I will help, continue on towards the prize, Heaven.

Dear Lord God, Your look penetrates my soul and shows me the deadly sins that are causing conflict in my life.  I thank You for shedding light into these areas.  You know my journey, You know all of it and I trust in You for guidance and help.  Make my movement between camps lighter as we go for I know at heavens door I will be empty other than the love of Christ in my heart.  Thank You for the life giving rain this morning, I pray for the rain that cleanses and puts out fires.  Prayers for a friend missing a loved one, may they be comforted with insight and vision.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, The New Eve, pray for us.

Numbers 32 - Vision

"At that time the anger of the LORD flared up, and he swore: None of the men twenty years old or more who have come up from Egypt will see the land I promised under oath to Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, because they have not followed me unreservedly— except the Kenizzite Caleb, son of Jephunneh, the Kenizzite, and Joshua, son of Nun, since they have followed the LORD unreservedly. So the anger of the LORD flared up against the Israelites and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation that had done evil in the sight of the LORD had disappeared. And now here you are, offspring of sinful stock, rising up in your ancestors' place to add still more to the LORD's blazing anger against the Israelites." Numbers‬ ‭32:10-14‬

Numbers 32 - Do you have vision?  Moses is concerned for those who are in his charge, he does not want them to make the same mistake again.  There are consequences to our decisions are we willing to seek input from others?  Are we willing to take direction if given?  God allows us to do as we please but He may or may not approve of your choices.  It is better to consult someone you trust, who has Godly insight before making life changing events.  It not only impacts your life, it also impacts the lives of those in your community.  An entire generation had to pass before entering the promised land because of the choices of a few.  Look with wisdom into the future and seek God.

What is God saying to me: My ways are not your ways that is why it is important to listen and be instructed, your decisions have consequences and if acted upon rashly, you may not like the outcome.

Dear Father, I thank You for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, You always know the right path forward.  May we be super sensitive to the call of Your voice and give what You are instructing us to do.  Moses had this gift and had vision to see the possibilities of wrong decision, may we have this insight in our lives when asked by others for help.  Thank You Lord for this day, for the yearning in my soul to know You more deeply.  Prayers for a friend making a decision, may it be Your will and may the way be clearly shown, there are a lot of lives that will be impacted.  I ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, my brother.  Amen.

Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 30 - Purification

"whatever can stand fire—you shall put into the fire, that it may become clean; however, it must also be purified with water of purification. But whatever cannot stand fire you must put into the water."  Numbers‬ ‭31:23‬

Numbers 30 - Purification.  Today we celebrate the Baptism of our Lord.  Jesus began His ministry with the water of purification, not that He needed purified.   Some things are hard to grasp in our lives but God has a reason and a purpose.  In numbers 30, God is purifying the Midianites just like in baptism all of our sins are wiped away, we are left pure as were the Midianites with only virgin women spared(you have to read numbers 30).  The Israelites returned from their battle and gave to God His share and the communities share.  Like Jesus, once we have been baptized we must bring our share to God and the community.  Allow God to purify you from the inside out, be cleansed by His Holy Spirit and be made new again.  There is a joy beyond all comprehension and a fire that burns like nothing else.

What is God saying to to me: The fire will not consume you, only make you shine brighter.  Be renewed each day as My Holy Spirit falls afresh upon You.  This life is a journey and has periods of purification with fire, know that I am refining You for a greater purpose.

Dear Lord God, You burn on the inside like a fire, You arouse my senses and place thoughts and words within my spirit to help understand what this day is all about.  May many others have the fire of Christ burning within being stoked by Your Holy Spirit.  I thank You Father for hearing my prayer this morning and answering it, I see You at work in mighty ways, bless Your people with the gifts of Your Holy Spirit.  Prayers for those this morning in pain, may they be healed with Your loving touch and see the fire that refined.   I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Numbers 30 - Authority

Numbers Chapter 30. - Authority

"So Moses instructed the Israelites exactly as the LORD had commanded him. Validity and Annulment of Vows. Moses said to the heads of the Israelite tribes, "This is what the LORD has commanded: When a man makes a vow to the LORD or binds himself under oath to a pledge, he shall not violate his word, but must fulfill exactly the promise he has uttered. "When a woman makes a vow to the LORD, or binds herself to a pledge, while still in her father's house in her youth, and her father learns of her vow or the pledge to which she bound herself and says nothing to her about it, then any vow or any pledge to which she bound herself remains valid. But if on the day he learns of it her father opposes her, then any vow or any pledge to which she bound herself becomes invalid; and the LORD will release her from it, since her father opposed her." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭30:1-6‬

Numbers 30 - submitting to authority. A covenant relationship, are we willing to Submit to the authority that God has placed over us. Our vows and pledges are binding with God and it is He who places those with authority over us. This chapter may seem sexist but it is what God established- authority. It is a blessing and the burden truly lies on the one who has the authority. God will hold them accountable to their vows so a covenant relationship with God and your spouse is critical to our salvation. Moses demonstrates this relationship by being obedient to his authority - God. God demonstrates His relationship by giving us His Son to die on the cross. Be willing to submit to those that God has given you. And guys, your vows and Oaths are binding so be sure to be in Union with God, He doesn't mess around.

What is God saying to me: Everything happens for a reason and sometimes we have to start over but that is also part of My plan. I will help You get it right so do not worry about having to start over.

Dear Father, You always know what to say and how to get me to put into thought what You want me to say. Thank You for the covenant relationship we have and for the one that I have at home with my bride, she is such a blessing and You trained us in our youth and we didn't even know it was happening. I thank You for the blessings of rain last night and for your providential care in keeping us safe from the storms. Prayers for marriages and for men to recognize they answer to the ultimate authority in their lives. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Numbers 29 - Sacrifice

"These are the offerings you will make to the LORD on your festivals, besides your votive or voluntary offerings of burnt offerings, grain offerings, libations, and communion offerings." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭29:39‬

Sacrifice - The Jewish new year was in the seventh month or September for us today.  It was a month of holy days beginning with day one.  During this month they would offer up to God a pleasing aroma of 73 bulls, 17 rams, 189 yearling lambs and 10 goats.  The amount of effort for these sacrifices was immense but this was their way of life.  Imagine you are the herdsmen or one of the temple Levite's, your personal sacrifice was great, it was a busy month.  We too have holy days where we are to worship and honor God, do we or is life just too busy.  What do we sacrifice in our own lives to God?  Everything that we have is from Him.  The Israelites knew that God would provide for their holy days, He would give them what they needed to worship at the temple.  The same is true today, God will provide if we will be faithful to Him.

What is God saying to me: "Go and learn the meaning of the words, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' I did not come to call the righteous but sinners." Matthew‬ ‭9:13‬

Dear Father, You stir my heart this morning and make me think.  I thank You for rooting out what the issue is and helping me understand, there is much to learn and apply in my life.  Father, teach me your ways so I may honor You more fully yet be in the world as a pleasing offering.  Prayers today for all that are concerned about the weather, help us recognize that You are in control there is nothing to be concerned about for You are a loving God.  Thank You Father for this day and for the plans that You have put into motion, may they glorify You and Your Kingdom as they draw others home.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Numbers Chapter 28 - Our Daily offering

"The LORD said to Moses: Give the Israelites this commandment: At their prescribed times, you will be careful to present to me the food offerings that are due me, oblations of pleasing aroma to me. Each Morning and Evening."  Numbers‬ ‭28:1-2‬ NABRE

Our daily offering - I see the purity of God's word, His intentions.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John‬ ‭1:1‬.  I also see Jesus at the altar saying: "Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.""
‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:19‬.  God's intention is our daily devotion to Him in our lives, to give of ourselves to Him in all that we do.  If you are a teacher, a doctor, a mechanic, a butcher, a home maker, a mother, a father, a husband, a wife, we are to offer this up to God, make it a pleasing aroma.  God operates over time so does the devil, always looking for ways to twist God's word.  He did this at the base of the mountain with the golden calf, he did this as they Pharisees condemned Jesus, He does this today with our busy lives.  It is in our daily offering to God that we are guided by God.

What is God saying to me: My will be done, the simplest form of worship is to offer self up each day as best as you can.  I see the challenges but I gave you My word so that it may be a guide as you follow My way.  Be blessed today, You are not alone on the journey.

Dear Lord God, I see the sacrifice of the mass in this chapter and I also see our sacrifice each day or lack of sacrifice.  May today be a pleasing offering to You as I go into my day.  I thank You Father for the quiet confidence You are instilling within.  I pray for guidance in making the right choices going forward, to not be thwarted by the devil and for the wisdom to see.  May each of us be a pleasing offering to You this day and may we be blessed by Your Holy Spirit as we do what we do.  In Jesus name, Amen
Mary, Mother of Love, pray for us.

Numbers Chapter 27 - God’s faithfulness

"who will be their leader in battle and who will lead them out and bring them in, that the LORD's community may not be like sheep without a shepherd." And the LORD replied to Moses: Take Joshua, son of Nun, a man of spirit, and lay your hand upon him." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭27:17-18‬

God's faithfulness - Jesus spoke in parables so His disciples and followers would have to dig for the meaning, to allow His word to penetrate their souls.  Jesus is the Word and God does not change, Numbers is Jesus  What do I see as hidden, God's heritage is to be passed on, from one to another within His family - Holy Orders, a sacrament within the Catholic Church.  Moses, God's chosen one, paid a price for his disobedience even though God forgive him - penance.  Something I receive from a priest after going to confessions.  When reading scripture there is a story but there is so much more when we quiet ourselves and listen with the heart, where God resides.

What is God saying to me:  In life, those that follow me will be directed by My will and those that have been appointed over them.  We must learn humility and recognize who I have put in place to shepherd you.  These shepherds must be tested that it is I, God, who directs their steps.  Listen to My voice and do My will.

Dear Father, we have embarked on a new journey, it is a new year and the Child Jesus is growing within.  Help each of us understand it is baby steps each day, we live in an instant culture but You operate over time.   I thank You for Your blessings and Your insights.  I pray for all that are learning to listen to You, there are many voices in our lives always trying to distract, may Your voice be the clearest in each of us.  You are Mighty God and You are my God.  Prayers for a friend with a troubled spot in His marriage, all will be well, in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Blessed Mother, Pray for us.

Numbers 26:1-2 - God’s army

"the LORD said to Moses and Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest: Take a census, by ancestral houses, throughout the community of the Israelites of all those of twenty years or more who are eligible for military service in Israel." ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭26:1-2‬

God's Army.  God is instructing Moses and Moses's nephew to take a census.  It has been thirty eight years since the last census, right before they enter the promised land.  All those that worshiped the golden calf have passed away and the next generation is to receive God's blessings.  "God said", Arron has passed on his knowledge of listening to God, he has prepared his son.  Moses has been working with God's people preparing them for the future, no more golden calf's, just the presence of God.  Are you counted in God's army?  It is a spiritual army, time spent being instructed by the Holy Spirit.  Jesus was part of His census when Mary and Joesph went for the census in Bethlehem.   The war is a spiritual war and the battle is won, on your knees, in prayer and by hearing God speak.   Be counted in Jerusalem and be called holy.

What is God saying to me: Are you ready?

Dear Father, that is a great question and we both know the answer to that, I need my battle armor fortified with additional prayer.  At every step the devil is looking to slow us down and get in the way.  It is subtle things and does not go unnoticed in my world.  You are preparing me and I trust in You as we increase my fortification.  I thank You for the words of encouragement this morning and the direction.  Prayers for an elderly couple facing some challenges, prepare them for the spiritual battle and give their family strength in prayer, You are the Great Healer and can do mighty things.  Come Lord Jesus and rescue Your people, You see all even the battle, make each of us battle ready.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Merry Twelfth day if Christmas 2019

"the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen." ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:16‬

"You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:4‬

Jesus Christ came in the flesh and walked amongst us curing all that  came to Him.  We have that same opportunity today, I think back to when I sat in darkness and didn't even know it for I was blind to what was going on.  Then Christ entered the picture, His light arose in my life and He made His presence known.  It is He who gives me strength each day to live not by my will but by His will.   I belong to God, I trust where He is taking me.  His light can not be hidden, it will shine through for greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

What is God saying to me: Enjoy the journey there is more to come.

Dear Lord, I know not where You are taking me but I trust in You.   Each day is a new day Father and there is much work to be done but you give us instructions for this day, to go out into the world and live as Christ did, speaking of You and pointing others to Your saving grace.  The world can be a dark place but with You there is Hope, there is joy, I thank You for the gift of joy.  I also thank You for putting prayer on my lips and in my thoughts on a regular bases.  Prayers for the plans that You have for this year, for the strength to do what You ask and for the outcome that You desire.  I am but Your humble servant living life as best as I can.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us.

Christmas 2019 - The Epiphany of the Lord

"Arise! Shine, for your light has come, the glory of the LORD has dawned upon you. Though darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds, the peoples, Upon you the LORD will dawn, and over you his glory will be seen. Nations shall walk by your light, kings by the radiance of your dawning." ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:1-3‬

Christmas 2019 - The Epiphany of the Lord.  Are you one of the magi?  In the darkness of the world is the light of Christ guiding you?  The three magi followed the star in the dark of night till they found the Christ child and offered their gifts and paid Him homage.  The light was shining upon them, Herod heard about their journey and wanted to know more.  In our own lives, the light of Christ shines and others see this light, they want to know more.  The gifts we bring to Christ are nothing compared to what He gives.   The journey of the Magi is ours as well when we listen to God's direction.  The Magi went home another route after they encountered Jesus, you as well will travel a different road when you have encountered Jesus.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you and over you His glory will be seen.

What is God saying to me: My light shines brightly leading the way, you will not be alone.

Dear Father, the light of Your Son shines brightly in my heart, I am but a man trying to get home and allowing You to lead the way.  You know my imperfections and my missteps yet love me anyway.  I thank You for being real in my life, for introducing me to Your Son in a profound way, may I always turn to Him in my times of need so together we return Home to be greeted by family and friends.  I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Christmas 2019 - Merry Eleventh Day of Christmas

"In times past, God spoke in partial and various ways to our ancestors through the prophets; in these last days, he spoke to us through a son" ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:1-2‬a

Christmas 2019 - Merry Eleventh Day of Christmas.  What a blessing to be in the presence of Jesus, to place ourselves within scripture and be with Jesus.  Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ and also to recognize Christ in our own lives each day.  To give Him room in our heart, this is the birth of Christ within you, a relationship that You learn to nourish, to just be in His presence.  Just as in times of past, we choose to listen to Christ or choose to not listen, to rush into our day and go it alone.  Don't know about you but I need Jesus, invite Him into your day, these are the last days.

What is God saying to me: I am helping you nourish your relationship with My Son, learn to call upon Him more, that will keep you out of harms way.

Dear Father, You sacrificed Your Son, You gave of Him so we can spend eternity with You, help us take time each day to be with Him.  I look forward to what You will be bringing in the days to come.  Thank You for the wonderful celebration of this season of Christmas.  Thank You for the guidance in moving forward and placing questions within to make me think and ask.  Prayers for a couple getting married today, may their love for each other and you grow stronger over time.  To You be all the glory, honor and praise, Amen.

Christmas 2019 - Heaven on Earth

"Beloved, we are God's children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed. We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope based on him makes himself pure, as he is pure." 1 John‬ ‭3:2-3

Christmas 2019 - Heaven on Earth.  The journey starts here and the choice is ours to make.  You have hope in Him, you make yourself pure, this is a conscious decision every day. "Sanctify yourselves, then, and be holy; for I, the LORD, your God, am holy." ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20:7‬.  The journey to hell also starts here but it is done by ignoring God, denying what He is asking of you, ignoring your conscience and justifying sin, Eve did this and so did Adam(justified sin).  Be like a little child and ponder Gods word and the meaning, Accept the gifts of the Holy Spirit and strive for holiness, something that can be grasped but just beyond our reach without the help of Jesus.  "but nothing unclean will enter it, nor any[one] who does abominable things or tells lies. Only those will enter whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life." ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:27‬. Be the profitable servant and be made holy, it starts here.  Happy New Year.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Father, there are many striving for Heaven and are being challenged just as Jesus was.  Help them see that this is part of the process, we will be tested by fire, refined as gold to be made holy and pure.  Thank You for the teaching this morning, for having me start over and for the insight that only You can provide.  May we all be made holy in our daily walk with thee, in Jesus name, Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.

Christmas 2019 - The gift of Wusdom

"Sincerely I learned about her, and ungrudgingly do I share— her riches I do not hide away; For she is an unfailing treasure; those who gain this treasure win the friendship of God, being commended by the gifts that come from her discipline." ‭‭Wisdom‬ ‭7:13-14‬

Christmas 2019 - The gift of wisdom.  Sincerely I learned about her, just as our bodies need nutrition so does our minds.  The brain needs nourishment and it will be fed either deliberately by us with good food - Gods word or junk food - what ever we set our eyes upon, the world.  When we set aside time for God each day and focus on a couple of scripture versus and just chew on them over and over again, the Holy Spirit will provide the insight.  This takes time and practice to develop the skill, many a morning I contemplate His Word and nothing comes then all of a sudden a picture is painted, a word appears, an insight is provided.   The greatest Teacher is the Triune God as I reflect back upon His studies, the daily challenges do not get in the way, I seem to be at peace with all that comes.  There is a peace that comes with time when we discern God's Word.  Happy New Year, 2020 has a lot of insight to provide if we discipline ourselves to sit still each day and contemplate the Word of God.

What is God saying to me:

Dear Lord, You know how to get our attention and have us sit still to gain wisdom.  The biggest muscle You gave us is our brain and You seek us to use it for good, to discern Your will and to assist us in becoming holy.  Help us see how our actions are helping this process or hurting this process.  Sometimes we just need to slow down and just be to be able to hear Your voice.  Prayers for a friend going a hundred miles an hour, may he slow down and just be, may he rest in Your word before life gets in the way.  Thank You Lord for being by my side and making me think.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Christmas 2019 - Bless the Lord oh my soul

"Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful. Let Israel be glad in its maker, the people of Zion rejoice in their king." ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭149:1-2‬

Christmas 2019 - Bless the Lord oh my soul!  A new year and a new beginning, a time of reflection and also a time for something new.  Lots of us make New Years resolutions, what about our commitment to God, are we willing to make a resolution to be more faithful in our devotion to God, in our daily prayer life, in our willingness to praise God with our mouths.  You can look back over last year and see God's blessings in your life.  Some, may not have a good relationship with God and maybe they can't see the blessings, I would say, you get out what you put in.  The great think about a resolution for God, you will have His help along the way.  Happy New Year, this year has many rewards, what are you willing to put in?

What is God saying to me: Follow Me, I know the way, trust in your instincts and follow My promptings.

Dear Father, I Thank You for this past year, even in the challenges and struggles You found a way.  I do not know what this year has to offer (You do), but together, we will be better for it.  Thank You for great memories made with family and friends this Christmas season, thank You for all the signs and wonders, it is an amazing journey.  Prayers for those in the battle, may they see the blessings and not the curse, You are greater than all our situations.  Happy New Year Father, lead the way, Amen.

Mary, Full of Grace, pray for us.
