"Hear, O Israel! You are now about to cross the Jordan to enter in and dispossess nations greater and stronger than yourselves, having large cities fortified to the heavens,
Know, then, today that it is the LORD, your God, who will cross over before you as a consuming fire; he it is who will destroy them and subdue them before you, so that you can dispossess and remove them quickly, as the LORD promised you.
They are your people and your heritage, whom you have brought out by your great power and with your outstretched arm." Deuteronomy 9:1, 3, 29

Deuteronomy 9 - Let Go and Let God. We are all Pilgrims on a journey so what is God telling us in Chapter 9? "Not by might, and not by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6b. We can think it is i that does it or has to do it but God is telling us to allow Him to lead, give Him the glory or suffer the consequences. Moses had to go before God to pray for the Israelites, to lay prostrate and intervene in their prideful ways. Get out of the way and give it all to God, every pain, every sorrow, every joy. He tells us in today's reading: "For the yoke that burdened them, the pole on their shoulder, The rod of their taskmaster, you have smashed, as on the day of Midian." Isaiah 9:3. Let Go and Let God, He leads.
What is God saying to me: I will show you My humanity, My teachings and My love that I have for you. You are entering My Kingdom in your heart.
Dear Father, I am almost overwhelmed with my senses and trying to understand knowing it is not I but You who is my strength. Thank You Father of this pilgrimage, I wait with anticipation as You lead and we follow as we witness the power of Your Holy Spirit move in our lives. Lord reveal to those being called how simple a holy life is even being surrounded by the complexity of the world. Prayers for healing, prayers for strength and prayers for growth but above all that, prayers for a servants heart to witness to others the glory of who You are in a world trying to out grow You. In Jesus name, Amen.
