"See, I have given that land over to you. Go now and possess the land that the LORD swore to your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them. Appointment of Elders.
May the LORD, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times over, and bless you as he promised!" Deuteronomy 1:8, 11
Deuteronomy 1 - Go. Moses addresses the Israelites and uses their history to show how God operates in their lives when they listen and obey and when they go their own direction. God knows life is a great teacher because we have vision behind us, only God can see the future. You as well can look at your life and see the same stories that Moses spoke in your memories. When we listen to God and obey, He moves mountains, He gives what is needed, He does the fighting and He is glorified. When we allow other voices to overpower Him, you lose. Look at history, it will speak to you. If God has asked you to go, then I would go even if I was fearful, even if I couldn't see around the corner, even if I wasn't prepared. Go and possess the Land that God gives you.
What is God saying to me: Listen in the quiet of your heart, in the peace I speak, I will let no harm fall upon you as long as you obey.
Dear Father, life is a great teacher, even in my failures I see You at work preparing my path ahead. Father, I so look forward to our morning face to face, where I get to sit at Your feet and listen. Help others understand the importance of quiet reflection, to sit at peace in Your presence and be taught by Your Holy Spirit. Prayers for those who are listening, they are gaining access to the promised land. Prayers for someone that You put in my thoughts, may he know that all will be well, You are at work in his life even though it doesn't feel like it. Thank You for this day may I go into it with gratitude and joy in my spirit, Amen!
