Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.
1252 The practice of infant Baptism is an immemorial tradition of the Church. There is explicit testimony to this practice from the second century on, and it is quite possible that, from the beginning of the apostolic preaching, when whole "households" received baptism, infants may also have been baptized.53
Mercy. "I desire mercy not sacrifice." Jesus stands before the priests and the elders, in a way He rebukes them but also He gently nudges them to consider their ways. They being the righteous ones, in their own minds, they have passed judgement and have considered their way right. God points out to them that those that are turning away from their sinful ways are the ones entering into the Kingdom.

Jesus continues to gently nudge us to consider our ways in our daily lives. Contemplation of one's day shines a light into areas in one's life that is in need of change. Do I listen and respond to God's voice in my day? I surely will try, not always getting it right, it is in trusting that God will continue to nudge where we find His mercy.
Infant Baptism, who am I to stand in the way of God's call of His children. Some would chose to wait until they are of age but as you watch a child grow in faith, we who know better can learn from the faith of a child. Watch a child receive Jesus into their heart, it is pure not twisted with adult thinking. Happy Sunday, God's mercy rains down upon all who are willing to listen with child like faith.
Dear Father, I see and hear You within my day, I see my own ways and reflect upon areas that are still in need of growth. I trust in Your gentle nudge to correct what has been ingrained. Continue to give eyes that see and ears that hear. Prayers for rain that will produce the necessary growth, You are always out in front no matter the situation. Prayers for a family involved in an accident, may they be healed by Your mighty hands, amen. Love Your son.
Mary, Most Holy, Pray for us.
