Daily Thoughts - Make God Known
1258 The Church has always held the firm conviction that those who suffer death for the sake of the faith without having received Baptism are baptized by their death for and with Christ. This Baptism of blood, like the desire for Baptism, brings about the fruits of Baptism without being a sacrament.

God knows our hearts. I sit and listen to Jesus speak as He conveys the message of serving others or serving self. The outcome of serving self is destruction if the goal is only self serving. God speaks of the vineyard and what happens when the focus isn't of serving, it leads to destruction.

As Jesus stood before the Chief Priests and elders they listen, and condemn the one not serving. The message isn't received as they are blind by their own desires. It only took 70 years for the temple to be destroyed. The institution that God provided for, give the ground it sat on and the Levitical Priests that server in it was destroyed.
In our world today as I sit and ponder this world, are it's institution serving its people or are they serving self. The Word of God still speaks and is real within our times. Pray for our world that our own self interests don't get in the way of serving God and His people. We are ALL part of the body of Christ.
Dear Father, I am thankful this morning for Your faithful witnesses who devote themselves to giving of themselves for the greater good. May our witness be a testimony to our love for You. You alone know our hearts and what it is that we desire. Help us focus on Love and repentance. Prayers for the fighting going on within our country, our Church and our World. Their walls are being tore down before our eyes. Jesus I trust in You. Love Your son.
