Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.
Incorporated into the Church, the Body of Christ
1267 Baptism makes us members of the Body of Christ: "Therefore . . . we are members one of another."72 Baptism incorporates us into the Church. From the baptismal fonts is born the one People of God of the New Covenant, which transcends all the natural or human limits of nations, cultures, races, and sexes: "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body."73
Community. I sit this morning with a sense of awe and amazement as God works within the lives of the saints. We were sent into this world to work the ground. "The Lord God therefore banished him from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he had been taken." Genesis 3:23. He does not send us alone into the world to do this work. He provides all that we need if it is God who we place our trust in.
Jesus sent them out before He was to come to them. He sent them out with one heart, one mind, one spirit, to bring about the Kingdom of God within our world. Not one that we can physically touch but one that we see as we witness God at work. Whom do you toil for? Are you enamored with the world and its fruits that do not lasts or is it God that has your heart.
How does one know whom they toil for? Look at your community, are you surrounded by the presence of the Holy Spirit within the other. Does your heart burn for what God desires for you and for them? Your community tells a story, what is it writing? St Paul's community all worked for one goal in todays first reading. St Luke had the same purpose as his brothers, to bring about the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is at hand for you, do not work in vain but be united with Christ in your work.
Dear Father, I thank You for the friends that I am surrounded by. I look forward to seeing what You are doing and what You are bringing about. It does not happen overnight but it is being written one day at a time. Bless our efforts that only brings about the fruit of Your spirit. Prayers for the last piece of the puzzle, You are fully aware of who that is. I trust in You and am thankful for another day to be at peace within You. Love Your son.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
