Daily Thoughts - Make God known.

Daily Thoughts - Make God known.

1277 Baptism is birth into the new life in Christ. In accordance with the Lord's will, it is necessary for salvation, as is the Church herself, which we enter by Baptism.

Glorify.  In todays Gospel reading we hear of the woman who was hunched over for eighteen years until Jesus laid hands on her and she stood up and glorified God.  Her heart was in the right place, Jesus laid hands on her but she came to the synagogue to worship God and her response tells of her focus.  It wasn't Jesus, a man she worshipped but God.

"For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens."  Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬.  Can we be like that crippled woman in our daily lives, always looking at God?  (Now that I have entered the day, am I seeing God in all that He has placed in front of me?).  Can we come to worship when things are not perfect?  Will struggle stop us from looking to
God?   Is our focus on God or on self?

Today is a new day, look up and glorify God with what He gives today.  His joy awaits as we focus on the one who saves.  Our struggles go away when God is our focus.

Dear Father, today is a new day, we have crispness in the air and joy in our heart.  May we always look up and give You the glory.   May our sight not be fixed on things of this world but upon the You who created it.   Thank You for the blessing of sight in a difficult situation.   Watch over us this day and may Your healing hands be upon us as we seek to serve You.  Love Your son.
