Daily Thoughts - Make God Known

Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.

I. OBJECTIONS TO PRAYER

2726 In the battle of prayer, we must face in ourselves and around us erroneous notions of prayer. Some people view prayer as a simple psychological activity, others as an effort of concentration to reach a mental void. Still others reduce prayer to ritual words and postures. Many Christians unconsciously regard prayer as an occupation that is incompatible with all the other things they have to do: they "don't have the time." Those who seek God by prayer are quickly discouraged because they do not know that prayer comes also from the Holy Spirit and not from themselves alone.

The life of prayer can be lost to those that seek without seeing.  In our everyday lives God is always present.  This is the life of prayer, it isn't found in rituals without love or done in haste not recognizing the Fathers touch in your day.  Prayer goes beyond time, it lasts forever if we are freely choosing to see the beauty in the life that You AND God have chosen.

Feel His gentle touch thru out the day, recognize the gifts of His love for who you are, for the lessons You have been taught and what He asks you to do with them.  Being lost is the beginning once you recognize your are lost, for then you are at the beginning of a wonderful adventure.

Dear Father, there is more than meets the eye to this life that we are choosing.  I trust Your guiding hand within my day, I feel Your gentle nudge to listen and respond.  I thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit and for the beauty of this morning.  I thankYou for receiving You within the Eucharist, I thank You for this heavenly food that feeds the soul in need of nourishment.  Love your son.

Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
