Daily Thoughts - Make God Known.
2751 Finally, in this prayer Jesus reveals and gives to us the "knowledge," inseparably one, of the Father and of the Son,51 which is the very mystery of the life of prayer.
"God said", this is the mystery of the life of prayer. God the Son gives us His knowledge of a solid prayer life within His final hour. He does not focus on the pain and suffering but continues on the mission of giving of Himself that we will come to a deeper understanding. Prayer draws us into the mystery, it opens us up to what God is saying to us through the life that we have. "We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28.
Jesus gives us His treasure, He buries it within us so we can seek what He gives. The parables in todays Gospel reading is for each of us to sit and understand what God has given us. An immense love that died on the cross so that we too may receive everlasting life. His words convey the message that nothing comes easy, it requires effort on our part to gain the wisdom and knowledge of Heaven. As the Son of God, He did not stroll into Heaven, He died to get there never forgetting His mission of giving of Himself all the way. Scriptures reveals these truths as we pray with it, the words written are from the Father and the Son, both inseparable and we are the treasure, we are the pearls, we are good fish in the net. Enter into the mystery of the life of prayer, God reveals Himself there and it leads us to Heaven.
Dear Father God, You are always speaking if we are listening. I see You at work within the body of Christ as You pass along knowledge thru everyday events. I thank You for the joys of life and the pains of life, both bring about transformation. Prayers for a friend lost in the field, may You penetrate a hardened heart. Bless this day Lord, send us much needed rain and may You be greater in all our circumstances. Love Your son.
