Daily Thoughts - He is risen.

Daily Thoughts - He is risen.

"For David says of him: 'I saw the Lord ever before me, with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed. Therefore my heart has been glad and my tongue has exulted; my flesh, too, will dwell in hope, because you will not abandon my soul to the netherworld, nor will you suffer your holy one to see corruption. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.'"  ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭25‬-‭28‬

He is risen.  Peter is living in the presence of God, he speaks with authority and no longer fears.  The experience of God has penetrated his thick skull and has become part of who he is.  He does not question nor doubt, he acts upon the word of God and does what is asked of him by stepping out on faith.

"All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers." Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬.  Peter has the influence of Mary in his life just as Jesus did.  The daily practices of devotion, spending time in the presence of God, reading scripture and understanding scripture.  Mary, in her own way helped the Apostles understand what God is asking of them thru her faithful example.  If anyone knew the Risen Lord it is Mary, she gave birth to Him, raised Him, encouraged Him(wedding feast at Cana) and suffered with Him during the passion.

Ask for the grace to be glad and rejoice intensely because of the great joy and glory of Christ our Lord.

Dear Father, I sit within the upper room and listen to Mary as she fills in the blanks for the Apostles.  I hear the words of Jesus as she gives us His mother to accompany us thru life.  I see the attack of the evil one as he tries to confuse and divide God's people.  Thru it all You are here and all is well.   Prayers for the lost, those that are seeking comfort in things and not in God, may they come to realize that things will pass away, relationships will endure the test of time.  Bless this day and thank You for this day with all it has to offer.  Amen.

Mary, Mother of the Risen Lord, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Most Strong, Pray for us.
St Ignatius, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
