Daily Thoughts - into the deep

Daily Thoughts - into the deep

"Now many of the Jews who had come to Mary and seen what he had done began to believe in him.

If we leave him alone, all will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our land and our nation." But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing, nor do you consider that it is better for you that one man should die instead of the people, so that the whole nation may not perish." He did not say this on his own, but since he was high priest for that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation, and not only for the nation, but also to gather into one the dispersed children of God."  ‭‭John‬ ‭11‬:‭45‬, ‭48‬-‭52‬

Gather.  Sit with Jesus this morning and contemplate His life, sides are being chosen and He is surrounded.  Yet there He sits in quiet contemplation looking to His Father and finding peace in the morning.   He is under the mantle of His protection knowing that the suffering must happen for it is written.

I look at our world and see the gathering occurring, we as well sit before Holy Week and can experience the things Jesus is going thru.  Which side are you on?  The sheep or the goats?  Are you with Mary?  We are being gathered into one, our demeanor in how we respond will tell us which one we are becoming.

With Mary and Jesus, trusting in our Father above, we will overcome the world just as Jesus did, it is written.

Dear Father, it is a beautiful morning surrounded by the peace of the day.  We each encounter the trials of this world, may we recognize where our strength comes from and see within, the lines the enemy is attacking.  Fortify these walls with the blood of Christ as we look to that glorious day.  To You be the glory, Amen.

Mary, Queen of Peace, Pray for us.
St Joesph, Terror of Demon, Pray for us.
St Ignatius, Pray for us.
St Patrick, Pray for us.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4b
