Daily Thoughts - He is Risen.

Daily Thoughts - He is Risen.

"No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.""  ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬-‭15‬

Teacher.  Nicodemus sits at the feet of Jesus and Jesus gives him the gift of eternal life.  Nicodemus does not understand what Jesus is saying, it is foreign to him yet within his heart he knows it to be true.  Jesus serves His people, He gives of Himself completely knowing what is to come.

When the time comes, what Jesus taught is activated, Nicodemus has that aha moment as he looks upon the crucified Christ.  He has pondered this saying of Jesus's until it became ingrained within.  And he realized what gift Jesus gave him when He gave all.  The next step was easy of Nicodemus for his Teacher showed him the way.  Nicodemus was being called into service to serve God in the body and the blood, soul and divinity.

Playing it safe in the Christian life does not work, doing what feels comfortable and not doing what is asked by God is painful.  As we listen to Christ speak, listen to the peace that is given, hear the words of eternal life and trust that God will provide in all situations.

Dear Jesus, You have the words of eternal life, as we sit at Your feet may we feel the peace that is being given.  Thank You Lord for the gift of this day, for the lessons that You will provide in our journey.  I am sorry Lord for not always getting it and I am thankful for Your patience with Nicodemus.  You know what lays ahead and it is beautiful.  Prayers for a friend wanting to hang on to the past, may they see the journey ahead is filled with faith and given by God, trust.  Blessings Father for Your gift of eternal life to a wayward soul.  Amen.
