Daily Thoughts - We are an Easter People.

"The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they began to be afraid. But he said to them, "It is I. Do not be afraid." They wanted to take him into the boat, but the boat immediately arrived at the shore to which they were heading."
Focus. Rowing in rough seas is hard work, it can be exhausting. Life can be that way as well if we are focused on the rough seas. Jesus as He walked the rough seas, His focus wasn't on the seas, it was on above and His purpose.
The disciples looked to Jesus, it was Jesus that had their attention. The rough seas no longer seemed to impede them or their progress. Their desire was to bring Jesus into the boat and then they arrived to their destination.
Life can get difficult at times especially when we focus upon the rough seas. Focus upon Jesus, look to Him to bring you to the other side. Without Him it will be a long hard journey, with Him and a holy fear, you are there.
Dear Father, life comes at us each day and it is a life that was meant for us. Help us focus on You, and what surrounds us goes away. I thank You for another beautiful day filled with the Joy of life. Watch over this day so we may return the focus. Prayers for a friend rowing the boat with a strong wind, may he find You to focus upon. Amen.
