Daily Thoughts - We are an Easter People.
"One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4
"All those who sat in the Sanhedrin looked intently at him and saw that his face was like the face of an angel." Acts 6:15
What are you consuming? It is early, and I am getting ready for my day. My heart seeks out the food that satisfies the soul. I sit in the stillness and have a conversation with God. He shows me Stephen, living within the world but not of the world. His life is the evidence that Jesus rose from the dead. Anyone who looks upon him can see that no matter what is being said he is not bothered other than doing the will of God.
I contemplate the food that we consume, the daily barrage that speaks against the teachings of Jesus. The lives of many are being influenced by their diatribe. The words are meaningless and lead to destruction. And here I sit listening to every word that God gives within my thoughts.
It takes effort to sit and listen, to be in the presence of God. There is no right way or wrong way other than following His direction. What are you consuming? Can you live as Saint Stephen did in the world and not of the world. It begins with God and ends with God, be careful on what one feeds the soul.
Dear Father, we are ready to tackle the day and the week. I see Stephen as he goes about doing what is asked of him. He sat at Your feet and listened to what was being said until he understood. Help us get to this place in a world that denies You. Mary, give us the grace to see the areas of our life that does not please our Father in heaven. Thank You Father for another day to try, may we be a pleasing offering in Your site, Amen.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
