Daily Thoughts - He is Risen.

"Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. He came to Jesus at night and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him." Jesus answered and said to him, "Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above."" John 3:1-3
Teacher. Nicodemus submits himself to a higher authority, he is a teacher in his own right but he steals away in the middle of the night to learn from Jesus. He is drawn to Him by God, his heart knows He is the one, it is Him who Nicodemus teaches about.
Do we steal away and spend time with Jesus. Do we give Him time so Jesus can be our teacher?
What Jesus teaches isn't easy to comprehend, it goes against everything the world proclaims. But in the quiet of the night Truth is spoken into the soul by God. Jesus walked with Nicodemus and reveals scripture to him as He prepares him for his mission.
God knows what are future holds, walk with Him in the stillness, on the way, He will reveal what the scriptures are saying so you can understand their meaning. Nicodemus lived out the Gospels and so do we if we are the student.
Dear Father, I sit and witness life, the life of Nicodemus as You teach. Your word penetrates his heart and he becomes Your faithful servant. May we meet in secret and allow You to open up the scriptures trusting that You will lead the way. Thank You Father for a beautiful weekend celebrating little ones being drawn to You. There is something special revealed within the faith of a child, may we all become child like and act in faith. In Jesus name, Amen.
