Daily Thoughts - Into the deep.

Daily Thoughts - Into the deep.

"And he said, "Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place."  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬

"When Elisha, the man of God, heard that the king of Israel had torn his garments, he sent word to the king: "Why have you torn your garments? Let him come to me and find out that there is a prophet in Israel."

He returned with his whole retinue to the man of God. On his arrival he stood before him and said, "Now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel."" ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬, ‭15‬ab

The passion of Christ.  As you witness Jesus stand in the Synagogue and listen to His words, they convey a message of who He is.  The people so obstinate neglect to hear what God is saying to them.  Anger removes our ability to hear the message.

Jesus is seeking the lost, those that are hard to reach and again He tells a story in hopes of reaching them.  He isn't wanting to quarrel or fight with them, He only wants them to see.  Look at the humanity of Christ and relate to Him as you go about Your day.  His passion becomes your passion over time after you have encountered Christ, the Son of the Living God.

You must read the daily readings to get a better understanding.  Each day God reveals Himself within His word.  How else are we to know who the Christ is.  https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/031323.cfm

Dear Father God, I see You standing in the synagogue delivering a message of love and it is anger that gets in the way of reception.  May we all take a step back and look at what is going on around us and look as you did in the synagogue.  Prayers for a friend battling anger, may You penetrate His heart within Your word and heal the leprosy with an hold over his body.  You are the Holy One of Israel, Amen.
