Daily Thoughts - Into the deep.

Daily Thoughts - Into the deep.

"Queen Esther, seized with mortal anguish, fled to the Lord for refuge. Then she prayed to the Lord, the God of Israel, saying: "My Lord, you alone are our King. Help me, who am alone and have no help but you, for I am taking my life in my hand. From birth, I have heard among my people that you, Lord, chose Israel from among all nations, and our ancestors from among all their forebears, as a lasting inheritance, and that you fulfilled all your promises to them."  ‭‭Esther‬ C:‭12‬, ‭14‬-‭16‬

The one true God.  Queen Ester is in a foreign land which worships foreign gods, she is paraded around as Queen but she is not the queen.  God is her help, in times of her distress and anguish, she comes before God and lays prostrate in His presence.  There is a knowledge that He alone is her salvation in all situations.

Do you find yourself in a foreign land worshipping foreign gods and you are expected to do the same?  Do you bring yourself before the one true God and seek His help, place yourself at His feet with the knowledge that He is your salvation.  It is lent, a time of reflection, am I asking, pleading for Gods help in my life.

Jesus speaks in a parable about asking for help, being persistent until our prayers are answered.  Let us not forget that God does not think as man does so our answers maybe not come as we expect.   Jesus ends the parable in Luke 18 with "But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?" Luke‬ ‭18‬:‭8‬b.  Do not succumb to the temptations of this world there is purpose in all things we must endure.  Be persistent and build up your faith in your prayer life.  God has got it.

Dear Father, there is a knowledge within that You are my salvation, no matter the situations we must endure You are with us through it all.  Prayers for pilgrims upon the journey satisfying self and not honoring You.  Help us see within where we have turned our back upon the one true God.  Bless this day and all it has to offer.  In Jesus name, Amen.
