Daily Thoughts - into the deep.
"This rather is what I commanded them: Listen to my voice; then I will be your God and you shall be my people. Walk exactly in the way I command you, so that you may prosper." Jeremiah 7:23
"But if it is by the finger of God that [I] drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe." Luke 11:20-21
God speaks. I have this image of Moses on the mountain top over viewing the battle. With his hands raised high towards Heaven, the victory is theirs. Hands lowered and they are losing. Each day we go into battle with self, will I invite the God of creation to join my day, will I praise Him with all that I have.
Jesus speaks of a kingdom divided will not stand, the kingdom He speaks of is within. Each day is a battle and God tells us the battle is His. We must listen to Him in all situations and look to the mountain top with the understanding that the Strong man is God. It is He that goes into battle for you.
"Say to them: This is the nation which does not listen to the voice of the Lord, its God, or take correction. Faithfulness has disappeared; the word itself is banished from their speech." Jeremiah 7:28. Listen to God and act in faith.
Dear Father, it has been a blessed week and days filled with fruitful effort. I ask that You bless this day and walk with me, use me in ways that only glorify You. May Your word come out of my mouth and accomplish the results that You desire. Prayers for a friend in the battle, may the strong man enter in and clean house. In Jesus name, Amen.
