Daily Thoughts - into the deep.

"Let the groaning of the imprisoned come in before you; in accord with the greatness of your arm preserve those doomed to die." Psalms 79:11
What is your world view of the sacrament of confession? What is God's intention? Lent is a time of reflection, to look at one's own bias and sins, and recognize the one who saves. Scripture speaks to us when we take time and chew on it. I myself have my own prejudices but God doesn't other than He opposes evil.
We may believe in the need for confessions or not. We may take time to reflect upon our own sinful nature or not. God speaks clearly within His word on what happens when we don't come before Him, we are doomed to die. It isn't harsh, it is just the truth that is spoken within His word.
Jesus comes before me this morning and points to this verse. "He said to them, "Surely you will quote me this proverb, 'Physician, cure yourself," Luke 4:23a. Our own world view can cloud our judgement, in the presence of God, He speaks. Have a blessed week, remember to turn to God in all situations, only He can cure us.
Dear Father, I sit this morning pondering Your word active in my life. I see my own sinful self and my own prejudices, realizing the need for the sacrament of confessions. I thank You for Your humble servants who administer this within Holy Mother Church. Continue the lesson Lord through out this day and my I be quiet. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
