Daily Thoughts - into the deep. The Feast of the Annunciation.

"For this reason, when he came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; holocausts and sin offerings you took no delight in. Then I said, 'As is written of me in the scroll, Behold, I come to do your will, O God.'"" Hebrews 10:5-7
The feast of the Annunciation - God's will. The will of God, how often are we asked to follow God's will, everyday. Jesus, born of Mary, is the perfect example of son of man following the Fathers will. Mary, is His counterpart, following the perfect will of God. What a choice she was given to say "Yes", to God's will.
What did she see within the world that made that choice so simple. Mary our sinless mother, the new Eve, recognized the corruption of sin within God's people. Her heart burned for us, to remove the sin and build upon the goodness of God. This is the life she experienced. Nothing foreign could enter her body other than the holy sacrifice of God.
" but a body you prepared for me", God prepared Mary to receive Jesus, the Holy One. We prepare ourselves with God's help to receive Jesus and Heaven through saying "Yes" to the will of God. Say yes and watch what God will do with you and your life.
Dear Father, I see how You honor the mother of Your Son. I see the delight she has for each and everyone of her children. I see the strength she has from Heaven and the willingness she accomplishes the will of her Father. Prayers for a world that denies her beauty, may they see the sacrifice she made to receive our salvation thru her Son Jesus. Prayers also for a family burying their husband and father on this day, may they receive the graces Heaven is pouring out upon them. I ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus, Amen.

Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b
